From the day I first signed up, and every interaction since the staff were always kind, helpful and down to earth. The facility is clean and wide open. Definitely not cramped and tight like some storage spaces can be. The price was great for the size space I had, and even when I no longer needed the space, and called to close out my account a day before billing, they kindly reimbursed the auto-pay that was taken because there is a 30 day cancellation clause in their contract that I was unaware of. Obviously they didn't need to do that, and I doubt they want to make that a habit, but they were understanding enough of my situation and worked with me despite the responsibility being mine for that oversight. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a storage facility.

The folks here are fun regularly people. You will be treated as nicely as you treat them. The rental products for uhaul are all in fine shape and and I have never had trouble with truck nor trailer. Bring em some donuts to show them you care :)

When I originally contacted this facility I was desperate. The man I spoke to told me to call back in the morning and he would have a space for us.When I called back a lady answered saying they were over filled, and there was nothing they could do for me. The man came to the phone, He saidhe had a space for me. I was overwhelmed with gratitude. In comparison the rental rate was reasonable the requirements laxed, rules were fair, and the kind way he attended to our needs reminded me of business dealing in my small home town! That day I would have given this company 10 stars. Unfortunately, the courteousness did not last! Before I share more I should point out that the storage space is rented to my son, not me. His work day ends later than the office is open, and going there for him became increasingly more difficult.I opted to pay the rent online with my debit card and deposit my son's cash into my account to cover the payment. After a few months I forgot to pay and was surprised to get a rent receipt in an email.I assumed my son had made it there to pay the rent. So I didn't open the email.BUT, when I saw the payment was collected from my bank account I realized without my consent they had used my online information to collect the rent via an autopayment. I was annoyed but I allowed it to continue this way for convenience sake!It did bother me that they did this without my consent but still waiting to collect the money until they were able to collect the $20 late fee In addition to late fees the rent amount increased every 6 months. (see EDIT below)To stop the late fee, I emailed them a request to add a prorate for 4 days to the upcoming payment and extend the due date 4 days to match my son's payday,. That was a year ago! I never received a response, or an adjustment to the due date, and the autopayments continued.Last month car repairs caused a financial shortage and my bank rejected the autopayment for insufficient funds. I got a message from them stating the payment was rejected and we had only that day to pay the rent! Additionally, there was another $5 rent increase.I again emailed them repeating my original request to change the due date. I calculated the daily rent amount using the new rent amount, multiplied it by the 4 days and asked that they agree to my proposal and collect the new amount in 4 days. I again requested an immediate response to my message. This time, I added that if I did not hear back I would be forced to make sure my bank did not honor any further auto payments!Once again, To date, I have again been ignored, and today I received another receipt for an autopayment for the rent + $20 late fee that they collected after my monthly Social Security benefit payment was deposited.Based on their blatantly ignoring my emails, as well as the refusal to respond to my request, even after I informed them of the next step I would have to take, the perfect star rating I would have given them must unfortunately be reduced to only a single star. After reading another's review of the consequences for a bad review, I guess I should expect an eviction as retaliation. But at this point the disrespect I feel, is much worse than a possible eviction, and I must now follow through with putting a stop to any future autopayments as I warned I would do!(EDIT) SOME CONTENT REMOVED MEET CHARACTER LIMITSwhen I wrote this review I believed rent increased every 6 months, a review of my records found that the 1st increase was after the 1st year by $5. which was fair. The 2nd also for $5. was 5 months later! After I posted this review, a retaliatory increase of $45. was imposed, increasing the rent of a 20' X 10' gravel space to match a 35' X 11' asphalt space per the company's web site prices! I went to the office to confront them and was tricked with an assurance I would hear from them the next day after they did a file review. Foolishly I believed them and while I waited for a call they stole the payment from my account! My bank opened a fraud investigation! and I have filed a

If I could give zero stars I would. I followed the instructions on the website and rented a "35 feet out door parking on asphalt - uncovered (35X11)" parking spot for our RV. I was emailed a rental confirmation and called the office and spoke to a gentleman that told me the hours and to just drive over and park the RV. When we got there the next day, the space we rented didn't exist. I asked for help from the young lady in the office and she couldn't locate the space either. She called the owner and I was told that our parking space was actually just on the side of the roadway in the gravel. Not even a real parking spot. When I told the young lady that I completed a rental agreement on their website for a spot on the asphalt, she replied "you never should have done that. You should have called us" even thought the website encourages everything to be done on line. The young lady working their is trying her best, but she seemed overwhelmed. I asked to speak to the owner but that was not an option. I understand that mistakes happen. This review is not based on the mistake itself, but on how it was handled. A simple apology and acknowledgement that there was a mistake and that it would be corrected is all it would have taken for me to stay. Only positive was how quickly they canceled my rental agreement and refunded my money. I called another local rental company and had a much better spot for only slightly more $. Also, this property is only fenced on the street side. It appears that the back is wide open to the field behind it. Hopefully the owner will read this and contact me, because I'm still in disbelief that this actually happened.

Went to my RV, stored at J&S RV & Self storage (AKA Elk Grove RV & Self Storage) to pick up a few items, I started engine to charge batteries. Loud rumble from under coach. My Catalytic converter was stolen. I don't know when, but I notified the owner and all he asked was do you have insurance. NOT HAPPY, The owner show NO Sympathy or concern about my Property. He also mentioned that some of his U-Haul trucks had there catalytic converters stolen as well. It would have been nice to know they had a rash of thievery in the past few months...

The people are rude and disrespectful. The front desk guy told us to move out in two weeks because I told him he is rude.

Couldn't get past the phone call. The woman was very hard to understand. I asked her what she said and she started talking to me very loudly in a demeaning manner so I hung up. Not worth the trouble.

Yes, I had my RV stored there. They raised my rate from $200 to $210 without any notice. Tried to find out why but never got a call back, then after I sold my RV, was informed that I would not get a prorated refund because I had to give them 30 days notice. The thing is, they do not have any amenities added such as electrical outlet, etc. Very disappointed with the service but they were very quick at taking your money but not refunding it.

DO NOT STORE ANYTHING WITH THESE PEOPLE!! I have stored my RV with them for a year, just left 12/21/20 . As we were hooking up our RV i was approached by 2 gentlemen. The older guy, the owner i believe, asked if we were leaving my husband said yes. The guy said we have to give 30 day notice and went directly into the office and charged my card another months fee. I have paid up December's payment on 12/3/20. So he charged me another 30 days on top of that!! I called him today

BEWARE THERE IS NO SECURITY FOR YOUR MOTORHOME TO BE FOUND. I HAD MY CAT CONVERTER STOLEN WITHOUT EVEN A COURTESY CALL WHEN THEY KNEW IT WAS HAPPENING. IRRESPONSIBLE!!!

I was able to rent a storage space on short notice. Storage facility clean and the woman who handled my account professional. I'm giving S&J Self Storage 3 stars because when I called to let them know I was moving out there were different associates at the facility who hung the phone up while I was talking and repeatedly said I would not receive my deposit. After calling back several times the original woman, again, was professional and said I would receive my deposit and sent an email stating the deposit would be returned. That was 3 weeks ago. I have not received the deposit and no response to my emails requesting when the deposit will be returned.
