Hair lightening isn't their specialty not unless your hair is already light. Ping bleached my hair when I asked her not to, leaving my hair now damaged and dry. She likes to keep on taking in all walk in customers eventhough she couldn't handle the ones that she already is working on inside her salon, leaving my forehead to burned. I will not recommend this salon and I wont be coming back. I will go to another place to fix my hair and move on from this nightmare.

Li Mei is the only hairdresser that can keep my hair long but still give me short and well blended layers! She is a perfectionist and excellent at cutting hair.

Originally, I was going to give this establishment at least 2 stars. Although, after waiting almost two weeks to write this review... I realized that the $150 I paid for along with the $30 tip was not WORTH the services I received. They did more DAMAGE than good to my hair. I had to use oil treatments, leave in conditioners, and intensive hair masks DAILY (yes, you read that right... EVERY SINGLE DAY) for almost two weeks to get some life back in my hair. I was extremely disappointed in the services I received. I paid for them to: tone my hair (to get the orange out of my blond highlights), hair trim, one hour facial, and a hot oil hair treatment. I saw some red flags, but the ladies were really confident and seemed to know what they were doing... They were also really nice, so I decided to give them a try. Things I liked about the salon: 1. Clean facility 2. Friendly ladies 3. For first time customers, they give 10% discount (check-in on Yelp to redeem coupon) 4. They will try to fix their mistakes (but in my case, made it WAAAYY worse) Things I did not like about the salon: 1. Insisted they knew what they were doing and "repeatedly" (3-5 times) suggested services I needed to have. Example: "You have a lot of orange tone in your hair, I put in toner for you and make the blond look better." 2. When getting something done, they don't tell you how much it costs. You have to ask them. . ***A good establishment will give you a consultation, and tell you the prices for all of the services before giving them to you*** Example: In the process of toning my hair, I asked and she said it was $60. I assumed it would have costed a lot less... It shouldn't have costed that much, but she already started and it was too late to say no. 3. Prices aren't consistent. Example: The first time I asked about the hot oil treatment, she told me there's a $19 one and a $45 one. When I got the $19 one done a month later, she said it would be $30 for my long hair but she's giving me a discount for $20 which is "better than the 10% coupon" I have. 4. Although they're licensed, they don't know what they're doing. Example: My hair was TANGLED and FRIED- so damaged that I had to use oil treatments, leave in conditioners, and intensive hair masks DAILY for almost two weeks! Not kidding you, my hair felt like straws and it made a "CRUNCH" noise whenever I touched it or tied it up! A crunch noise on any type of hair is NEVER GOOD. 5. Wastes your time and money. Example: I paid $20 for a hot oil treatment to keep my hair hydrated and moisturized. Did I get that? Initially, yes but when they "fixed" my hair to "make it better" it beats the WHOLE PURPOSE of the oil treatment! My hair was dried and damaged.... $20 I paid for went down the drain. 2nd example: I paid to get my hair toned to get rid of the orange in my blond highlights. Did I get that? No! Instead my whole head was orange and the ( $135 balayage) blond highlights I got from another salon was GONE. The $60 I paid to have a professional tone my hair (but didn't do a good job) went down the drain.... AGAIN. The $60 toner + $20 hot oil treatment = $80 worth of services that I DID NOT get. I got the OPPOSITE of what I wanted. Long story short, after "toning" my hair, I went in the next day to tell them I was unsatisfied with the services I received. The owner, Ping said, "I can fix it and make it better". She used hydrogen peroxide to lighten my hair. She blowed dried it, used a heat protectant on my hair, and straightened my hair while it was still DAMP (huge no no). Some of my highlights did show up, but my hair was beyond DAMAGED. I contacted Ping about my hair again, and she offered to give some hair oil to use at home. I had some at home already, and didn't want to DRIVE back to the salon. After about 3 days, I contacted Ping again to let her know that my DAILY oil treatments, leave in conditioners, and hair masks didn't wor

Kid friendly, fast, and affordable! Had a great experience here with three of my sons and my daughter. We will be back for the kids haircuts even though we are Not in town. I have 6 kids and hair cuts can become a harsh expense. Fan salon has made it affordable for kids! My sons were nervous and that quickly dissipated when they saw how friendly and efficient these Ladies are!! Happy kids make for a happy day.

Hair coloring/ Highlights isn't Ping specialty, unless your hair is already light. My hair color now is messed up and hasn't recovered yet from dryness. She forgot me on a dryer chair coz she's too busy getting more customers which left me with a burned forehead. I will never return as a customer or recommend this place for highlights.

I have been here 3x within the past month due to me being indecisive about the length of my haircut. Clean and friendly staff, and conveniently located next to Bonchon and Pete's Coffee.
