I don't know why I keep trying to like this store. Maybe because it's the closest grocery store near me. Again, I go in to get the corned beef that's on sale. This is Day 3 of a 7 day sale and they are all out. The butcher even said all their stores are out and they are not getting in anymore. With St. Patrick's Day coming up this weekend, you would think they'd have tons. So I go to my next closest grocery store and their corned beef is the same sale price. They have a boatload of them! Guess which store I'll be shopping at from now on?

It would be great to be able to get a bag without being mean mugged by the employee. Can you guys maybe put bags next to the self check out so that I don't drop my barbecue sauce trying to put it in the bag and break it and I have to go back and pay for another one, just to get me mugged again when I ask for another bag.

At the self checkout there was this blonde old lady employee working today who was extremely rude when explaining my discount. I had to wait 5 mins to get her attention and she ignored us for a while before she came to help. If she not gonna be a good mood then why she bother working there. This lady was very impatient with me and disrespectful all together. I will not be returning to this store.

The store is in my neighborhood within walking distance. I only shop if something is on sale. To be associated with Lucky's, it's pretty pricey. Not my ideal place to grocery shop. WinCo is better for me. The store is clean and organized though.

We went here to buy a Jennie O Turkey for $0.47 per pound but were treated rudely when we went to check out. Taylor did not know anything especially the price of the turkey would be $0.47 per pound if we spent $25 dollars. She kept arguing that it was $1.99 a pound and that we had to pay the $33. She finally asked the next cashier and he said the customer had to buy $25 dollars before the turkey price would be $0.47. Next, it was my turn. She scanned my frozen turkey along with all the other foods that I bought, unfortunately, the frozen turkey would not scan. She kept trying to tell us to go get another Turkey but we told her that the other turkeys did not have a price tag. She called another guy to help out but all he did was roll his eye when she told him that I told her there was no other tag on the other frozen turkeys. He then walked away and Taylor started to tell us again to go get another Turkey. It seems like she was not there to help anyone. She and the guy who walked away treated us like we were there to beg for food or couldn't afford the turkey. My recently unpleasant encounter with a cashier Taylor and the guy who came over at Savemart on Elk Grove Florin Road compelled me to share my experience. It was evident right from the start that this individual had no interest in providing quality customer service when she got to us. The way she treated my wife and I was not only rude but made me feel like I was a burden rather than a valued customer. Throughout the transaction, the cashier's tone was condescending and dismissive. She seemed more interested in having us getting another frozen turkey with a price tag on because she couldn't scan the one we had with the price tag rather than having someone go back there to check to see what we said was truthful. She rudely told us to go get one with a tag she could scan rather than getting an item code off of our other Turkey (already paid for) and weighed the one we had not paid to figure out our turkey price. It's disheartening to encounter such behavior when all I wanted was a simple and respectful interaction. Both people treated us like we were less than human and wanted to discard us to the side. Customer service is a fundamental aspect of any business, and it is essential for cashiers to maintain a level of professionalism and courtesy. Unfortunately, this particular cashier and the person who came over failed to meet even the basic standards of customer service. It is my hope that the management of SaveMart takes note of this review and addresses the issue appropriately. However, it seems that management does not care because I called Corporate after my experience to tell them what happened to us and they stated that someone from management would reach out to us to discuss this matter. We called on Friday 11/3/2023 and today is 11/7/2023 and we still haven't heard from SaveMart management. I do not have high hopes or expectations from this company. Customers should not be made to feel disrespected or devalued during their visit. I genuinely believe that improvements in training and employee management could greatly benefit this establishment. In conclusion, I regret to say that my experience with the cashier Taylor and that guy were far from satisfactory. I hope that this review serves as constructive feedback and encourages the necessary changes to create a more positive and welcoming environment for future customers. Remember, providing excellent customer service is crucial for the success and reputation of any business, and it is essential to treat every customer with respect and dignity.
