“Our family has had such a wonderful experience at this Merryhill location. I’ve now had 2 children enrolled here and both have had positive experiences! From the very first day, it was clear how much the teachers and staff truly care about the children. My daughter started in Ms. Jada’s class and moved with her from the beginner class to the intermediate class. She was absolutely phenomenal and made a huge positive impact on her transition into school. When she moved into elementary school it was such a positive and exciting experience for her and I think a huge part of that was due to Ms. Jada preparing her to make that transition!

As a parent with high anxiety, bringing my 1-year-old to school for the first time felt overwhelming, but Ms. Robin and Ms. Jasmine completely eased that fear for me! They made me feel safe, reassured, and confident that my child was in loving, capable hands. Their patience and open communication meant more to me than I can put into words. They also placed my son in the BEST class, his teachers are so compassionate and genuinely care for the kids in their room. Ms. Maria, Ms. Marisa, and Ms. Nina are always playing with the kids and doing activities, they send us pictures and updates continuously throughout the day so I don’t feel like I’m missing anything!

I love how much the school focuses on both learning and growing independently. This applies to both my son and daughter. I’ve been able to work on getting rid of the paci with the help of their teachers and also potty training (with my older child) AGAIN Ms. Jada and Ms. Martha you are absolute ROCK STARS thank you SO much! It is so nice to have the support of the teachers and staff even when sometimes it’s easier to just give the paci, they truly work with us to help our babies grow. 🥹”

“My son started at Merryhill Laguna @ 14 months in the toddler class. We quickly noticed a leap in his development! He began talking more, he excelled socially, and he learned a lot! Before he was 2, he could count to 20 and count backwards, could identify all colors and numbers and can say a couple of words in Spanish and sign! The teachers in that class were great! Ms. Melissa is still there doing amazing!

He has recently transitioned into the beginners class and so far, the same great experience. Ms. Liz, Ms. Sabrina and Ms. Bailey are all so kind and doing great helping him get settled in his new class!”

“My wife and I tried several daycares and preschools before finding River City Early Learning. Our daughter was born in 2020, and by 2023, when she was 3 years old, we had tried at least three daycare centers in Sacramento that were closer to our home. When we found River City Early Learning in Elk Grove in 2023, everything changed. Monique leads the site in a way that feels extremely family-oriented. She is flexible, firm, clear about rules and policies, and fair in how they are enforced. That balance creates an excellent experience not only for the children, but also for the families. I also appreciate Monique’s approach to hiring staff. She clearly takes it seriously and makes sure the teachers and caregivers are well-qualified, professional, and able to engage with our children in a positive, patient, and upbuilding way.

We are still proudly with River City Early Learning today. We currently have our second and third daughters enrolled, with one in the infant care program and the other in the Pre-K program for children ages 1 through 2. We have experienced multiple stages of care at the school, and at each level, we have been impressed by the nurturing environment, cleanliness, structure, and quality of education our daughters have received.

The family engagement is also outstanding. River City Early Learning has hosted movie nights, engagement nights, and even an elementary art exhibit where families were able to see the artwork the children created. The children also learned about business and commerce by having the opportunity to sell their paintings and artwork. That kind of enrichment goes far beyond basic childcare.

Our oldest daughter has since graduated from River City Early Learning and is now in kindergarten. She is reading above grade level, has earned honor roll, and has had no behavioral issues. While my wife and I work hard to teach our children good manners and strong values at home, we truly credit River City Early Learning for being a major part of her early development and success.

Because of Monique’s leadership, the quality of care, the educational foundation, and the family-centered culture, River City Early Learning is hands down the best preschool in the Sacramento metro area.”

“Love love love this place! My 18-month old goes here - it’s the first time she’s ever been with anyone besides me and immediate family but she happily goes to Ms. Renee! She loves the structure, play time, outdoor time. Everything is clean and comforting. The outdoor area is amazing! Staff are so friendly and I love that’s a Christian daycare. The app used for communication is awesome and I love seeing pics of her throughout the day. This place exceeded my expectations!”

It really helps when I'm at work and I can see how much fun my son is having. Staff is very welcoming at drop off, and are great at keeping me informed at pick up how the day went. It is a safe location as the front door remains locked, so I can be assured that my child is safe. I highly recommend taking your child here!”
