“We had a really positive experience at Pocket Merryhill. My 2 year old daughter was enrolled in the three days a week full day option, and while she can be a more sensitive and emotional child, I always felt like she was in genuinely caring and capable hands.

The principal, Amy, sets such a warm and thoughtful tone for the school. She is present, approachable, and clearly cares about both the children and the families. The front desk admin was always friendly, organized, and welcoming, which made daily drop-offs and pick-ups feel easy and personal.

Her classroom teachers were truly wonderful. They were patient, attentive, and especially supportive on days when my daughter had a harder time with transitions. It was clear they took the time to understand her and made her feel safe and included.

Over time, I saw my daughter grow in confidence, independence, and social skills. She learned so much, and I’m really grateful for the care and foundation they provided”

“We were lucky to have Ms. Rachel and Ms. Sarah as both of our children’s Infant teachers. And even more lucky now to have Ms. Rachel be in the Toddler classroom with our daughter again! We appreciate the social and emotional learning that Ms. Rachel incorporates into her classroom every day. Not to mention all the adorable pictures/videos and funny stories she shares with us about our daughter’s day.

We would also like to give a shoutout to our son’s teacher, Ms. Susan! I don’t know how she comes up with half of the activities she does, but they are so creative and keeps our son engaged. He still talks about their science experiments and is eager to continue that learning at home.

“FNS has been a great preschool for our two kids. It emphasizes social and emotional development, in addition to preparing for success in kindergarten, and our kids have made great friends here. The teachers are caring, and foster a supportive environment with Montessori-like opportunities for kids to explore their interests. The religion component is there and incorporated into things like kindness/character development (gifts of the spirit) but would be by no means overwhelming for a family that was not particularly religious. Extra great if you live in the Caleb Greenwood area as a good number of kids end up going to school there after.”

“We absolutely love Merryhill! Our 3-year-old has grown so much since starting here he’s talking more, learning shapes and animals, and becoming so much more social. His teachers, Neelam and Patricia, are amazing with the kids and truly care about them. We get regular updates and photos throughout the day, and at pick-up, they always take the time to share how his day went. Drop-off and pick-up are quick and easy, and we really appreciate how much emphasis the school places on safety and the children’s well-being. Our son has also discovered a love for arts, crafts, and reading. We couldn’t be happier or more grateful to have found such a wonderful and nurturing school for him!”

“This place has been the best experience for my son. More growth in one month than two years with IEP resources at our assigned district school. Whether or not your child has a dyslexia diagnosis, but is below grade level performance standards, send them to Read. Reach out to education advocates and/or lawyers. There are ways to afford the tuition. Make it happen for your kid. Literacy is a right and unfortunately the public school system does not guarantee this. Make it happen for your kid.”

“Both of my kids have gone here, my son until age 2 and now my daughter, who just started. She's only been there two weeks and has already adjusted so well, which really speaks to how caring and attentive the staff is.

The staff retention is incredible (many have been there for decades), and you can tell they genuinely love the kids. They provide nutritious meals, diapers and wipes, and even wash sleep items, which is such a huge help.

It's an unassuming place, but I truly can't think of a better spot for your babies. I just wish they went through TK!”

“My son attended Penleigh 5 days a week for the last 2.5 years. We have absolutely loved our time at Penleigh. The staff are all wonderful and kind - we felt very safe leaving our son in their care. They also create a lovely community for the parents at Penleigh. We will miss the staff and all of our friends as we transition to TK next year. We would highly recommend Penleigh!”

For the older kid, we appreciate Ms. Be, Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Alyssa, Ms. Chamorro, and Ms. Aman for such warm and friendly demeanor, engagement with her on her level, and fostering independence and self-esteem over the years.

As parents, we also appreciate the regular and positive communication from you all and the other staff members Valencia and principal Karina, keeping us updated with newsletters and pictures of our kid's daily activities.”

“We love Milestones. Ended up here because it was the first of our choices off of the waitlists and we’re so happy. Very clean and secure facility but the real standout here is the staff- most have been here for many years and their commitment to the kids happiness and development show immediately and consistently in our almost three years here now. Our daughter loves her friends and teachers (teachers and kids move up together so their main teachers stay with them as they age in the program). Their commitment to community and inclusivity are apparent as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place that gives you the upmost peace of mind that your child is safe, loved, and happy.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Inspire Preschool! My daughter attended for almost two years, and was more than ready for Kinder. I only wish we had started her there sooner. She was at an in-home preschool previously. We toured so many preschools in Natomas but they all felt institutional and impersonal. Inspire was the perfect blend of a real school environment but warm and intimate. The admin and most teachers have been there for years. They truly LOVE their students. My daughter was so happy there and they quickly felt like family. They have story time, music time, and art, daily. Fun, hands-on learning! Science projects. Nature walks. Every week is a different theme of learning (e.g., bodies of water, insects (they study real bugs), planets, etc.), and they decorate for each theme. They go all out for holidays and have super fun events. The staff put in SO much time and effort. They not only educate our kids in such fun ways but they teach emotional and social skills, and they are amazing when handling crying kids or separation anxieties. They are super communicative and provide pictures, messages through an app, and daily emails. They are tucked in a business complex that feels very safe. They even go trick-or-treating during Halloween to nearby businesses or take field trips to the vet’s office in the complex. Don’t let the small outdoor space fool you; they conduct outdoor games and activities, have a garden, and provide more than enough toys etc. during recess times, and they add shade in the summer.”

“5 stars all the way for Alhambra Preschool! We are new to the family there but they immediately made us feel right at home. I began speaking with Tania a few months before my kids started. She was so organized and made sure my kids had spots when the time came for them to enroll. Chef Mari (who cooks fantastic, healthy kid-friendly meals) always greets us with a big warm hello on our way in and we are then welcomed with a warm “Good Morning!” by anyone who is working the front desk.

My 5 year old was only there for a short period of time before moving on to Kindergarten this year, but it was such a magical time for him. Ms. Melissa (the teacher in the Butterfly room) is a wonderful teacher and our son came home everyday raving about the fun activities she planned for them. She is active on the app they use for the school and often posts fun pictures and videos so we could get a glimpse of what they were up to each week. Much appreciated!

Ms. Barbie and the rest of the staff in the Bumblebee classroom (the younger kiddos) are all amazing as well! The first week our 2 year old daughter started there, it was her first time ever in a classroom/daycare setting and they were so kind and patient with her at drop off when she was having a hard time with the transition. Ms. Barbie would hold her in a warm embrace each day when it was time for me to have to say goodbye. It helped me be able to get out the door and it gave my somber heart comfort in knowing she was in good hands and being given the extra love my daughter needed in that moment.

“My daughter has been attending Learning Pointe since she was 10 months old. She will be 4 years old in August. This was the best introduction to school for my daughter. The teachers are all kind, welcoming, caring, and loving! The Director, Vanessa is not just the leader of the school but an active participant in making sure the kids are well taken care of.

The small knit school makes it feel like home. Even after moving out of the area in 2024, I continued to commute to the school. As an infant, my daughter never had a diaper rash at the school and they helped to potty train her when she was 2 years old. The families from the school are also a joy to be around. Thank you Learning Pointe for the impact you’ve made on my daughter and family! Anyone would be lucky to enroll their child into this school.”

“I cannot say enough amazing things about Playhouse Preschool! My daughter attended Playhouse for three magical childhood years! Michelle and Jessica have been wonderful and I have referred many friends to enroll their kids here and have been thanked numerous times for referring them! My daughter still reflects on so many happy memories she remembers from her Playhouse days. The teachers are wonderful, the crafts, the playtime, the meals! They learn their numbers, letters, how to write their name, ADORABLE Christmas pageants and graduations! A fun Harvest festival every year! I can’t recommend this place enough or have asked for a better Preschool experience for my little girl!”
