Love this place! Came in for the first time on Tuesday with my juvenile ball python who was having a tough time shedding. I wasn't sure what they could do for me to help her out but when I came into the store, I was greeted and welcomed with open arms. I had a gentleman named TAI help me and he took my snake and saved the day. He has great knowledge and customer service ! I'll definitely be a regular customer just because of him . Great place to go over all I love looking at the snakes and bearded dragons etc

I'm a new snake owner, I just bought my snake here last week. I noticed very quickly that my snake was infested with mites, thankfully I educated myself on snakes to know what to look out for. If not, my snake would be sick. If my snake has mites, the rest likely do as well. They wanted me to bring him in for a free consultation to "make sure" he really had mites. He definitely has it no question about it. In fear of bringing MORE mites into their shop, I decided to not bring him in. What help would that do? MAKE SURE YOU EXAMINE YOUR REPTILES BEFORE LEAVING WITH THEM! I learned the hard way and wasted over $100 because I had to throw out my brand new hides, substrate, etc. I am not happy, and neither is my snake because of all of the stress I've had to put him through to kill the mites.

I appreciate this place for showing me how to properly take care of a chameleon. I've been coming here frequently to buy my reptiles their food.

Favorite place to get feeders. I have two ball pythons that I normally get medium to large frozen rats for. I have purchased live in the past and I like that they are able to "gas" them for you, so I don't have to worry about the rats injuring my snakes.I would recommend calling ahead to see what/how many feeders they have in stock, if buying frozen. They can sometimes go fast.I got my first snake at a different location, but I find that every Serpentarium has friendly and knowledgeable staff. They were also able to tell me the sex of each of my snakes, with a small fee for the one I did not purchase from them.

So I've actually been coming to this location for awhile, but recently I got a python and needed feeder mice and that's where my issue started with this location. The first issue is them always telling me what to feed my snake when I know what my snake will eat since he's still a baby. I don't want mice or rats dying because they keep insisting on what I feed my snake this is a pet store not a clinic for animals reptiles etc. Second issue is I never feel welcomed when people of certain minority walk in or are in the store I hear how they are spoken too versus when I'm their no conversation or care just a unwelcoming attitude to where I feel uncomfortable . Third issue is the state of their mice the last two I got one was sick and dying and had once eye so infected it was swollen shut I am not going to feed that to my snake. I will never go again I'm gonna stick to where I normally go I've never had issues or been questioned like a child or felt uncomfortable and their way too over priced anyways and don't use your credit card they'll check your id like your a criminal with a attitude at that. I would not recommend this location I cannot speak for other locations.

Went in today for a bearded dragon. I was so educated by Tyler (one of their employees), while I was there. He is super knowledgeable and made this a simple process. He went over everything step by step and answered all of our questions. I know we'll be back. Thanks.

They took amazing care of my leopard gecko while she was boarding with them. Their insects are reasonably priced and always clean and healthy.

I purchased my ambilobe panther chameleon, and all the necessities of keeping one from the Elk Grove location. The staff are polite, and knowledgeable. I am pleased with my purchase and continue to support this business by getting my feeder insects from here.

Jasmyn was AMAZING! Over the top helpful, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, gracious and KIND! We were pet sitting for our daughter/granddaughter's white tree frog and she wasn't looking well. I don't know much about amphibians, but I knew enough to be concerned. I called and immediately Jasmyn said bring her in, and "we'll do a free health check". She was a rock star in helping us. She was actually an answer to prayer (thank you, Jesus) and a huge blessing, as our frog desperately needed the TLC that Jasmyn provided. We have a whole new healthy frog now (see below)! Thank you, Jasmyn and thank you Serpentarium!

The manager Jason does not listen to what is being said. We had a batch of ball python eggs stored in the incubator. Jason took it upon himself to throw one away without contacting me first. I did not find out till that afternoon what he did till I came into the store. He had no right to do this without my permission. After all, they are MY eggs.
