Our cat is urinating fine just not eating and wanting to lay down all the time. Spent over $700 on our cat with absolutely no diagnosis whatsoever. Not even an IV. Just a little electrolytes under the skin and some anti-nausea medicine and bloodwork. Nothing else! By the way... What kind of bloodwork that doesn't offer any help with diagnosis. Did offer expensive ultrasound to see whether or not he MIGHT have pancreatitis. We won't be going back to this place ever! Much better vet clinics out there that are more reasonably priced with better care, and service for your pets. IMHO

I've been going to Bradshaw Vet. Clinic for over 10 years. My dogs have always had the best of care. Wouldn't take them anywhere else.

Update: 11/2023I’m so thankful to all the staff for giving Boba so much love. Boba comes to the facility every week and she’s gets so much love!Thank you! Thank you for treating my dog! I carelessly dropped my dog which resulted in two broken bones. I appreciate all the work that you do! I know that your work is tough and stressful but I just want to thank you for treating my dog so that she can come home pain-free. I wish I can thank you in person! Boba and I thank you!I’m still grateful for the care given to my Boba.

I have been very happy with the care my animals have received from VCA Bradshaw. I had two old dogs that received end of life care and the staff was very kind and compassionate. I have since brought in two puppies and they have been excellent in getting them what they need. My only complaint is it can be difficult to get an appointment quickly, however that is a demand/ staffing issue. I do recommend this place.

I brought my cat to VCA Bradshaw as an emergency, on Monday, having noticed an abcess on his neck on Saturday night. The procedure for being seen as an emergency is to wait until 2:30 PM to call, and then to bring the animal in, where you are seen on a triage basis, meaning emergencies are judged for severity and the order you come in is not necessarily the order you are seen. This seems fair, although in this case we had to wait three hours before being seen. They were very busy, but the desk crew was super nice and kept checking for me about the wait. When we were finally seen, they took my cat and I was able to go out for a short time to find food. Dr. Jones gave me an update about my cat's condition and outlined what treatments he would need, and suggested I leave him overnight and come back the next day.Altogether I would say that the staff is very kind and empathetic, and after spending an amount equal to the price of my first car I took my cat home where he has been healing nicely. I can highly recommend this hospital, if you can afford it.

We had to help our little dog over the Rainbow Bridge in the middle of the night. The staff at Bradshaw could not have been nicer. They had a nice room with comfortable chairs where we could spend time with her and say goodbye. I recently lost a human friend who was not treated as well during his final hours. The facility was wonderful, the staff was professional and very caring. Thank you from the bottom of our broken hearts!

I was super concerned this morning when I noticed my doggie had a surgery incision ( that was done at the shelter we adopted him from) looked like it was not fully healed. I called Bradshaw VCA and the receptionist ( I think her name was Kaitlyn ) was very compassionate and was able to accommodate a same day appointment. She was patient and answered all my questions. She put me at ease . When I arrived for our appointment we were promptly greeted and shortly called back to see Dr. Terrett. She was extremely kind and personable. After taking his vitals she addressed all of my concerns and examined my pup. Turns out he was within the normal stage of healing . She assured me he was doing well and answered all of my new dog mom questions. She offered feeding advise, nutrition, heart worm and flea and tick prevention options . She even sat with me and my pup on the floor to be at his level. She is extremely professional and educated. When I was finished and checking out , Jasmine was so sweet to offer to help wait with us . She stayed with him while I was asking more questions, signing up for services and paying. She talked to him while other dogs were coming in and out and made him feel very comfortable. I was worried when I went in by myself I might not be able to handle it all alone. But they all made the entire experience so easy , informative and pleasant. Outstanding customer service. You can certainly tell they all love animals! Our first visit to the vet was a great experience . We will be using them for all of our pet needs!

My cat was in a fight, that I witnessed, 24 hours later she wouldn't bear weight on her hind leg. I called and made an appointment (we got lucky someone had just cancelled for a hour later) I was very very specific she did NOT need an X-ray and did not authorize it to be done... a hour later my 19 year old takes her to vet and the guilt trip her into getting a X-ray for $300!! This was absolutely unbelievable, my daughter is a full time student who works part time, they stole 2 weeks of pay from my daughter! Not to mention it was one view AP not even a lateral which is needed to accurately diagnose a fx alignment. You definitely owe us a refund

During covid quarantine the entire world adopted dogs and other animals which over loaded the pet service industry and there still being a massive demand for professional services without the amount of pet professionals needed getting appointments has become a really stressful experience. Then having an emergency and trying to find any availability is another nightmare situation. I really thought my guy was going to have to wait a little while to be able to start recovering. But because of the rain canceling his son's baseball event, Dr.Petrunich chose to stay and fix Sebastians leg. Sure he gets paid to do it but I'm happy to pay him to help bash bash on a quick recovery. He introduced himself and was so chill , confident, like someone who puts your worries at ease. He's my favorite person on the planet today. Thank you!. And the staff were all very welcoming and thorough.

So, at first I was going to leave an upset comment and low stars because the cremation took way longer than initially told to me for her ashes to be returned. I was told to wait 7-10 days to hear back to get my baby's ashes, the date came-didn't hear anything, I called, told me to wait 3 more days, called back on that day, my baby is still not there, was told to wait another 3 days, at this point I was not only torn from not having my fur baby back yet as I have been expecting her at every date given to me but I was upset at the delays and the run around answers. I realized I was getting upset at the wrong business, really it was out of their control in hindsight. It was the crematory facility I should've have been upset at. Long story short, every staff sounded like they were trying to find answers for me when I called so I'm thankful for that. I want to say first someone name Nicole but most shout out to christina when it came down to the third date they gave me to check back on, although still didn't have my baby's ashes on that day, she made sure to find out the issue. She and her manager finally got a hold of the crematory facility and finally gave me a definite date. Which was the following day. Communication seemed off which was why I was upset. But they got down to the issue when I told them I would wait as long as I can for answers about my baby's whereabouts. Anywho, not sure if it was part of the Vca job description to do this but they made sure to bring her back to me first thing in the morning. Christina did a wonderful job keeping her word to not only contact me first thing in the am but also brought my baby back home to me. Thank you to the staff there that's been empathetic to my situation and going above and beyond to grieving pet parents like myself. That was extra special to me when they brought her back to our home.I was still working til 330pm but they made sure to help me get her home as soon as they could and they even wanted to compensate for the cost. Thank you VCA Bradshaw.

This place is horrible. Every time I come here it smells bad. Not only that, the staff here don't seem to care about patients, cleanliness or have any empathy. Multiple times coming here, there was poop all over the front entrance/ walkway. During Covid, they brought a different animal to the room we needed before us by accident and I actually had to ask them to replace the counter towel and clean it before putting my animal on the same area. I have no idea what other sickness another animal may have and I shouldn't have to be the one to mention cross contamination, being a patient/customer. Another time, someone else brought their dog as well, but it was jumping all over the coffee station and there was no attempt to help control the situation or clean the coffee area after the incident. In the past, we needed a refill on anxiety medication for our very anxious dog and the vet via phone consultation recommended a phone psychic instead of giving us medication we needed. And don't even try coming here with a cat. There is such a lack of help here it's disgusting. With fear of a sickness, instead of giving comforting advice, the vet just stared at us blankly as I cried in the floor and we could over hear techs in the background talking about "we can just kill it". For the record this is verbatim what I heard from the other room and it was disgusting. What is wrong with you people. Even if someone had to put their animal down (which by the way another vet elsewhere gave us 100% clean bill of health for the baby kitten they were willing to heartlessly kill for a condition, which by the way has a cure, which we were incorrectly told it didn't) I would expect the utmost professionalism, at the least, even if you didn't care for their animal type. My family has lived in the area for years and I was warned not to use Bradshaw but didn't have a choice at the time. Never again.

Outstanding customer service. Very compassionate and caring when putting down my girlfriend's old kitty. I would recommend this place over all other Vets in the Elk Grove area.

I just became a customer for life after speaking to Julie and previous experience with a cat emergency visit. Today my current vet was being difficult and wasn't showing compassion. I pay monthly for a wellness plan and was told due to my cat not doing well and getting extremely stressed at the vet I could do a quick in and out vaccine appointment, this was what I was told two weeks ago, however when I called today to schedule it she said it had to be a drop off appointment only. I tried to explain why the other person was giving me the other option. This was met with no empathy for my situation. However I had a good experience with an emergency visit with VCA Bradshaw and decided to call instead. Julie answered my call and she was not only extremely professional but knowledgeable and compassionate. She made some suggestions that no one else has before that I am willing to try and ultimately made me feel like they genuinely don't want my cat to have a bad visit with stress. I am very thankful I talked to Julie today. Such kindness, compassion and sincerity. Thank you Julie and thank you VCA Bradshaw for having someone like her on your staff. I look forward to being a long term client.
