Paws in Progress is the absolute best place to train and board you dog. My dog is always excited to go to Paws in Progress. ELEZA IS AMAZING. When I take my dog to be boarded, I know he will engage in fun activities with well behaved dogs. It’s always fun to take lessons with your dog. I have enjoyed swimming and SUP classes with my dog and I look forward to this summer to learn more.

I have worked with many trainers over the past ten years, and Eleza is far and away the best I have ever worked with. Her prices are higher than others, but you get what you pay for! Her total program is amazing. From the board and train where she only has a couple client dogs at a given time that spend a LOT of time with her daily and get a lot of real world experience (not just a couple short sessions per day and the rest of the time in a crate like other programs), to her many group field trips each month with her clients to continually work on honing their skills with their pups, to an online video library full of lessons, to weekly live chats to discuss areas of concern and to educate her clients.... that doesn't even account for the texts or calls or other forms of support she offers. Although she tremendously has helped my young dog and continually helps me with my relationship and training with him, all of my pack (I have four total) have benefited from her wonderful program. The best thing about it is her demeanor - calm, positive, supportive - and she LOVES dogs - you can tell it is not so much her "job" but more of her doing something she truly loves. Cannot recommend enough!!!

Excellent trainer, highly recommended!! She has helped foster dogs with behavioral issues, and they were successfully rehabbed and went on to find great homes.

My wife and I met a couple of trainers and none of their training techniques were to our appeal due to the lack of improvement. After thorough online research, we found Paws in Progress and followed by a detailed discussion on the training techniques. We agreed to send our German shepherd Dog (GSD) to training camp for a month in the summer of 2019.We never let our GSD be watched by strangers due to a previous bad experience.Thankfully, after the training camp, our pup made a tremendous turn from a reactive dog to obedient one. Then from there, it was our responsibility to learn howto communicate the new commands to our dog. After frequent field trips and showing up to training we were able to improve our new skills through working directly with Eleza by her feedback and experience as well as reviewing the online training videos provided. Now, we have the skills and confidence needed to live a life co-existing with my furry family member. I feel confident that our pup can go along with us to run errands, go on hikes, or simply hang out with friends at a brewery, winery, or dining. Also, I can identify situations when our dog needs comforting. If we were to adopt another fur baby in the future, we’ll be bringing our new addition to Paws in Progress. Thank you so much for your patience, knowledge, and communication Eleza.

Eleza is a dog "whisperess." She is an amazing trainer with a unique ability to also train owners. Through her I now realize that with eveything I do, I am are training my dogs. I no longer think of dog training as a discreet session or event, it is incorporated into daily living. When I vacuum or sweep they are on their beds on "place command", etc. My friends can't believe my dogs actually sit in place when the door bell rings! Me and my dogs are communicating so much better! Thank you Eleza!

As a fellow dog trainer, I like to follow my peers and absorb what they have to teach. I have had the pleasure of watching Eleza train on several occasions and always learn something new from her that I can apply to my own training knowledge. She is well educated, has a diverse history of working with dogs, and offers good feedback.

She is well educated, has a diverse history of working with dogs, and offers good feedback. I have been to her property and it is a dog haven! She has several different areas for dog training set up: a house, a building, turfed play yards, large fields, and more! She even has some livestock to help proof dog obedience. Her reputation speaks for itself but if you were undecided about whether or not to pick Paws in Progress - I can say with full confidence that they are worth every penny!

Eliza is a great trainer. She trained our first dog Roxy, Rhodesian Ridgeback, as a new puppy and she is the best dog! We are having her work with our new Labradoodle too! She's also a great sitter!!

Trust your gut. This type of training works well for some dogs but not for all. It has been more than five years since we put our dog through many months of puppy training with Paws--group and solo. I remember coming to get him one day and he was a little puppy floating in a doggie life vest in a sloshing pool with other dogs and I could see his eyes looked terrified. But Eleza assured me this was the best method to acclimate a dog to swimming. Years later, my dog remains totally afraid of swimming pools and of treadmills too (used there to exercise the dogs although we never watched any sessions). In all other respects he's a woo hoo doggie, big and brave. But pools and ponds? Nope! He won't even follow me into the garage because the treadmill is right there lol. We feel awful he graduated this training with lifelong fears. So be careful. Know your dog. If your pup is the right fit for this method then awesome, Eleza is the trainer for you. I know she does love animals and does care, and I'm certain she will say that here. But! As a client popping in after many years I did so in hopes of pointing out that the unintended consequences of not reading a puppy's reluctance (or dismissing it) can last a lifetime. (They aren't weaker because they got scared, nothing is wrong with them, it's not "silly"--they're smart sensitive creatures and they can't always tell us what they're thinking--but good trainers can see this and patiently build confidence). I hope Eleza will too.

Eliza gave us a great puppy and obedience experience. As owners we learned so much which helped us grow with our boy.
