My daughter made an online purchase and the shoes did not fit. I called the store to see if they could exchange them since the purchase was online and the young man very kindly told her yes, to take them and indeed without any further questions or questions. I changed nothing

Review based on 2 experiences at the same store:Came in about a week ago and someone helped me right away and gave me some suggestions since they didn't have what I was looking for. I looked around some more and found what I wanted; they had the size and I bought it. Nice and easy transaction. 5 stars.Today. One week later:Called 3 times, about 5-10 mins apart, and let the phone ring for a minimum of 1 minute for every call. Even let it ring for 3 minutes straight and they still didn't pick up. All the reviews about them not picking up is definitely not an understatement. 1 star.

I ordered shoes online for pick up few days later I got an email that confirmed it’s been delivered couple days later I go in the store the sales associate “claimed” the shoes never arrived ? which I’m confused about so who’s Lying I was very upset waste of time gas and money I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the employees kept the shoes for themselves smh also I wish the staff there could be a little nicer little more professional ?

So I went into the store to buy my wife a purse that she had seen and liked and Cheyenne gave me attitude since the moment I went in. The first time my wife went to look at the shoes Cheyenne snatched the shoe from her because my wife didn’t like the shoes she had chose. Nice products but bad customer service felt like she had something against us.

If I could no stars I would. How does your sign say you closed Monday-Saturday at 7 pm but you decided to close at 5 pm on a Friday night at that. There was two employees in the store that seen me standing at the door because there is a sign there that says i have to wait for an employee to let me in. They chose to not acknowledge me and pretend like I wasn't there. Finally I knock on the door and they yell out they are closed. Instead of having decent customer service to come to the door to explain they are closed (when their sign that they posted clearly says they close at 7pm) they want to yell at me like i am bothering for trying to buy something out their store. Aldo you need to train your employees better. They acted like i was bothering them when I did nothing wrong but go to your store during your posted business hours.

I was a frequent Aldo's customer. I never had a problem until I tried to return a pair of shoes. I was offered (and accepted) to have a pair of rain boots sent to me from another store; they didn't have my size at the Emeryville store. When the shoes arrived - I didn't open them, I never had a problem and had been buying Aldo shoes for years, I'd even had them delivered to my house before, so I figure it would be same as usual. The day I decided to wear them, there was a heavy mist, so I thought I'd wear them - I put on 2 pair of socks because the shoe I tried on was slightly larger - they don't sell 1/2 sizes after size 9. As I walked around a mall, one shoe felt tight. I thought I might have left a second sock on; I sat down to check. while taking the shoe off - I noticed scuffs on one, then the other of the boots. I didn't have on an extra sock either, so the shoe was smaller. I brought the shoe to the local store for exchange or refund. The stickers on the sole of the shoe (the clear with gold symbols of the upper and sole materials, etc.) were still there. The stickers are thin ,and come off easily, so they hadn't been worn that long AND the boots were 2 different sizes. The young lady said I couldn't get a refund or exchange. Because the shoe had been worn. As for the foot that was too small - she could take it in the back and stretch it. ??????? I did wear them - but clearly so had someone else and probably as long as I had because of the size difference. The damage had been done already- but the previous store still took them back. Plus, the shoes were two different sizes. I called headquarters, wrote 2 or 3 e-mails and have yet to get a response. It's been over 6 mos. 5 years of wearing Aldo shoes and carrying Aldo purses I now find out how customer service stinks, it isn't the same from store to store - and even knowing a pair is 2 different sizes the most they will do is stretch it?? Extreme disrespect. I've just been plenty lucky. I wonder how many other poor victims have experienced this type of problem but didn't pursue it. With the exception of sneakers, there is only one store that sells shoes exclusively in the Emery Bay area. I am now stuck with a closet full of Aldo, including the worn boots. I'll keep wearing them until they've worn out - but I refuse to purchase another pair of Aldo's, be it from Macy's or T.J. Maxx - Knowing that customer service and respect, it's a hit or miss - Stay away if you expect consistent decent service.
