The older lady working this evening is extremelyyyyyy rude. No customer service skills at all. She was on a personal call at the register while ringing people up, yelling at all the customers. Super nasty attitude. I rather drive the extra miles and go to the one in Albany than deal with her again.

The new customer pick up process is flawed. After spending almost 150 on alcohol and showing up to the store to pick it up, I was sent to the back door behind the store to knock on the door (call the employee inside to get my prepaid order). It's 7p and dark outside and now I am in, what amounts to the alley, picking up an order that I have already paid for. What a shit experience. If this is how BevMo intends to treat their regular customers that order online to mitigate having to walk through the store (and pick up each product individually). I think I will find another retailer to take my business to. This is not customer service - it's customer dis-service. Think about your processes and fix them. This may be convenient for the store person gathering the order but it's a skull and crossbones experience for the loyal customer that has the clarity and planning chops to order ahead.

Back door alcohol pickups are such a terrible experience. There is hardly anyone at the back to answer the door bell. When you go in front, they will resend you at the back where someone will be available after 5 mins just to start your order after 15 mins of your arrival. Good luck being here, standing in a poorly managed parking lot.

This place is shady as all get out. I came here for one thing and when I went to pay my card didn't work. I had just purchased from another store. And I put my card through twice and it was declined. I think the guy who was so helpful wanted to help himself to my account. No thank you. I started to try a third time and then realized that something was up, so I left without my purchase. Don't come here! Something shady is in the mix and I'd rather get mine at another store.

They have a wide selection of beverages and spirits. They usually are a little understaffed so it might take you some time to check out if it’s busy, but it’s my go-to in Emeryville!
