My LO is enrolled in the Mandarin immersion class and has attended school here for 3 years from the Toddler Program to Children’s House. She’ll be aging out in August. And my 2nd will be enrolled in Jan.First, the Staff is amazing. Stephanie, the principal, greets every child by their name. She has experience running the school from her previous position, but I’m so happy she has been entrusted as Principal here. I notice the stability she creates in the school and her genuine care to provide the best programming for her kids even after school. Not to mention all the staff, especially, Ms Zoe is kind to the children!Secondly, Mandarin program teachers are amazing. They not only incorporate the lesson of Montessori’s independence but also Chinese while maintaining a warm demeanor with their students. Ms. Vivian greets my LO with a hug every morning! I’m so happy with their program and definitely recommend it! Please mention my review when enrolling for $500 off tuition!

This is a long overdue review for Guidepost Montessori – Emeryville. Guidepost Emeryville has been like a second home to us since 2020. We initially started in the toddler classroom and continued until we aged out. Our overall experience was wonderful, although we did encounter a few hiccups along the way. But let's be honest, which school doesn't have its occasional challenges? For us, what truly mattered was how these challenges were managed – how the staff addressed our concerns and feedback.I must say that our concerns and feedback were consistently met with open ears and open minds. This, in my opinion, is the most critical factor when choosing and staying with a school – the school's ability to communicate and partner effectively with parents. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with the most amazing guides (our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Ms. Marlene, Ms. Karla, Ms. Javeria, Ms. SheShe, Ms. Karina, and Ms. Vivian) during our time at Guidepost! These guides were not only warm and attentive but also continuously encouraged the child’s independence. Thanks to their guidance, my child has developed a strong sense of ownership, authority, and independence. The classroom atmosphere was always positive and conducive to learning. The classrooms were thoughtfully designed to allow children the freedom to choose work that they would like to focus on. What's more, the progress of each child was meticulously tracked in Transparent Classroom, ensuring that parents were consistently updated with their child's progress and photos that was taken for that day, if any. I personally cherished being able to witness my child's development and see pictures of their experiences.Speaking of the administrative staff, we couldn't help but admire Ms. Stephanie's warm smile. Ms. Stephanie was previously the Assistant to the Head of the School, and before our departure, she had been promoted to Head of School. Guidepost couldn't have made a better choice for this position. Apart from her impressive knowledge, Ms. Stephanie was always ready to assist in every way possible. It's been a little over a month since my child left Guidepost, yet they can't stop thinking about the school, the staff, and their former friends. To me, this serves as a strong testament to the fact that our time at Guidepost was not only worthwhile but also deeply meaningful.

Guidepost was our daughter's first introduction with daycare, and we couldn't have hoped for a better experience. The facilities are excellent, and the staff is phenomenal. Our daughter created genuine bonds with all of her teachers, and always came home in a bright, energetic mood. It was amazing to see her bring home the skills she developed while at daycare. She was there starting around 18 months - within the first few weeks we noticed an increased vocabulary, and in the first few months it was clear she was developing a strong, emphatic independence.

We have loved Guidepost Montessori over the past three years. My kids love going to school. Our kids have been in the Nido, Toddler Room and Children's House Room and each room has been a positive experience. We were pleased with how Guidepost handled the pandemic, providing excellent and safe care. The teachers are very caring, and communicate well about what the kids are learning daily. Also, they have great hours and the best calendar (with very few days off).

Let's start with the staff... AMAZING!! Everyone is so kind, loving, and willing to help your child grow. The communication is everything a parent could ask for and more. My son has truly flourished being at this school. I truly appreciate everyone here especially because I am a first time mother. If you are looking at Montessori education, come here!

I cannot say enough good things about this daycare. My toddler has been attending since last September and he absolutely loves it. I've watched him become more independent, confident and social and this is largely due to Guidepost. In addition to the independent Montessori play - they do a lot of fun activities with the kids - painting, baking, dance parties. The teachers and staff are amazing. It feels like a community - they often have events and really try to bring families together. I also love how supportive they are of not only the kids, but the families too. Being a working mom is not easy and the fact that they are not closed 8 weeks out of the year like some places is a Godsend. This place is worth it for the quality level of care and support your family will receive.

Guidepost Montessori has been a wonderful community for our daughter, who attended the Mandarin immersion program for preschool aged children. We found the teachers to be wonderful, kind, caring, and tremendously skilled - our daughter has grown so much in her time there. The staff and extended parent community are kind and caring as well. The sense of everyone having responsibility for each others' well-being was something that felt invaluable to us during the pandemic.

Guidepost Montessori has the very best enrollment process I've ever experienced & we are excited to join the community. Ms. Stephanie assisted us from start to finish and her patience and kindness is remarkable. My son & I got to enjoy a virtual tour and see the beautiful campus. We got all our questions answered and I am excited to see my son thrive in this community.

Both of our children have been at Guidepost in the Mandarin immersion classrooms since ~2 yo and ~4 mo respectively. We've had a wonderful experience there and our kids have as well. Over COVID Guidepost was responsive and helpful during a stressful time. Our children speak Mandarin (even though we don't) and are writing characters, doing math and cleaning up after themselves in ways that only Montessori kids will do. Highly recommend Guidepost!

Both of our kids attend Guidepost Montessori at Emeryville and both can't wait to go everyday. We've been part of the community since 2020. Our youngest started in the Nido (infant) room and transitioned up to the Toddler room. She is receiving the best care I could imagine. Her guides are so loving and attentive to her needs. The infant guides left such an impression on her, that she wants to go see them everyday to say Hi. Our oldest started in the Toddler room and transitioned to Children's House and has also been cared for deeply. He's excited to show his guides his new shoes or new shirt and always asks to get picked up late because he wants to stay and play with friends. The guides and administration are wonderful and very responsive to our questions and/or concerns. We couldn't have asked for better individuals to care for our babies.

Both of my children have gone to Guidepost. This is a wonderful place for kids to grow and learn. My oldest was well prepared for first grade when she graduated out of Guidepost. I would recommend this Montessori school to anyone who wants their children to learn Mandarin or are happy with English. It's well run, clean and a very happy place to learn.

Had a wonderful virtual open house visit last week. It was perfectly organized - there was a comprehensive overview of the program and ideology followed by virtual visits to the classrooms and open Q&A. Thank you for a great tour of your beautiful school!
