This Target used to be good. But these days, they don't staff the pickup or customer service counters while some employees hang out at the cash register doing nothing. Bad management. Avoid!

Been coming here for several years now. Never had any specific reason to complain before, though never did I experience anything notably positive or above and beyond. Considering the neverending flow of shoplifters that seem to continue unperturbed regardless of any and all attempts the store makes to stem the tide I have always been understanding when security picks me up follow around.... Til this total man baby tonight... About 9:00 PM Sun 3/3 there was a heavy set light skinned African American security guard carrying at least 5 pepper spray cans displayed on his chest and wearing cheap plastic gold colored sunglasses inside for whatever reason. After he had been following me uncomfortably closely and for at least 25 min. I said "hey bud I'm here all the time, I guarantee you could find better ways to spend your time". This suddenly sent him into a frenzy, hurling insults at me and swearing l the whole loud enough to disturb everyone for several aisles in all directions. He continued to work himself up more and more, swearing, boasting about how much money he makes (really didn't get that part) and threatening me. After a few minutes he seemed to realize that he wasn't going to be able to provoke me into acting as embarrassingly immature and ridiculous as he had been. There is no way that this guys fragile ego would ever allow for him to clearly think through a situation I'm order to prevent theft or deescalate conflicts, which off I recall is the majority of a security guard job at a grocery store. Personally I would strongly recommend reconsidering this immature, unpredictable, and volatile man child position here before his unprofessional and embarrassing actions escalate into a physical altercation or otherwise legally actionable outburst. On any other day though, just your run off the mill garden variety, totally acceptable though not particularly impressive trip to Target. Usually more like a 3.5 star

TARGET PHARMACY*** I went in to pick up my prescription on my lunch break (i couldn't go before i started work because they open later in the morning i think 10:30-11:30) and as I'm standing in line at 1:30 they yell out "we're going on lunch please come back at 2". It's extremely unprofessional and unnecessary to dismiss people that are waiting in line. There needs to be a better lunch schedule in place because there are several people working there. I've never been to a pharmacy where the entire team (more than 5 employees) went to lunch at the same time.

I will not go to this store again manager at this store. Hi to be exact. treated me like I didn't just pay for the items I try to return with receipts. Give me back my return in target card. And I pay with cash and visa gift card . Then keep smirking.everytime explain why I didn't want return in target card . How you took my money should be how fast you returned money back not 3 day or in different format back like target card . I don't even want to give them any star.

Can't keep staples like dairy, meat, and distilled water in stock. Even their own brands. They keep locking up products in glass cases, have a militia of armed security, and expect customers to wait at the exit for staff to verify receipts. All while other folks will just walk right out with an unpaid for microwave and security does nothing to stop them.

I stopped shopping at the Emeryville/Oakland Target because they lock everything up. The last time I shopped there, they had no one around to open up the cases. The customer standing near me went and found a staffer, and she was extremely hostile--probably because she was in the middle of doing 15 other things. I get trying to deter theft, but locking everything up without adequate staffing to help customers doesn't work. It's an untenable situation.

I shouldn't have to wait over 30 minutes for a Starbucks. BUT WAIT WHEN I ASKED TO CANCEL YOU WANT A RECIEPT? When the person never offered a receipt and I have my Apple Pay receipt: terrible service !!!!!! Terrible target! They never have anything here.

I thoroughly did not enjoy this Target experience. The combination of the armed guards patrolling the store and basic items (like deodorant, moisturizer, toothpaste, etc) being locked up makes it feel like you're a criminal. The store has this confusing, tight layout and the entire thing is just incredibly unpleasant. Are shoplifters something we really need guns for?

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at Target today. Every staff person that I came across was friendly and helpful. My check out person Esmeralda was particularly amazing. I shared some frustrations I had with the prices of school supplies and she showed me how to use the target app to make better selections. So thankful I stopped by today and I will definitely be back.

A dreadful experience. People driving like crazy in the parking lot, shelves with key items frequently out of stock, and lines that move very slow. A shopping experience that doubles as a patience test.

This place used to be fine for a Target store, but now, if you are planning on going there for anything involving skin care, tooth care, hair care, etc, You are are going to have to find a floor person to open up their stupid locked plastic doors, lining at least 12 lanes of product! And then if you can find someone to open the doors, they give you what you are looking for and send you off into the store. So if I wanted to steal something I would have to ask the floor person to open the door so I could put it in my cart, and then walk to the other side of the store and slip it into my pocket or backpack. This is the stupidest f'ing plan I have ever seen. They probably spent minimum $200k removing and installing new security cabinets, and added $160k minimum per year for employees walking the isles opening locked plexiglass doors for people all day, every day.

I used to love coming to this location. I'd drive the extra 10 min to come here instead of the one near me. But recently it's been depressing coming here. From the SWAT looking security to all the security cabinets that now store most of their merch, the kind where you have to ring some bell in order to find someone to help you. Yeah those. I can understand that perhaps they've had to deal with theft, but that doesn't change the ambiance. Customer service has declined significantly. People at the dressings rooms so consumed in their conversation about their weekends that they don't realize customers waiting for a fitting room. Cashiers with no customer service & lots of attitude. This location used to be the best one in the area, so bummed to witness its decline.

Worst customer service. Spend your money elsewhere. No one picks up the phones or can even answer questions intelligently.
