I am super disappointed with the LG cooktop + walloven combo purchase at Home Depot. The appliance department sales rep insisted us on buying 5 years of extended warranty, and we did. We had the products delivered home, and we inspected it for dents. It was great until my contractor removed the plastic protective film from the cooktop plate a week later to install and found a crack. Who on earth would even think of that. Home Depot refuses to return this new untouched product. We are waiting to hear back from LG. Now it's been 2 weeks, and no warranty help since home depot want it to be taken care by manufacturer LG or LG has changed the case to multiple service centers with no help yet, still waiting for a confirmation from someone to come and fix. I HATE HOME DEPOT for sticking a broken cooktop on us, selling useless 5-year extended warranty. They have no support at all. If my review was of any help at all, please don't purchase grand items from HD. Instead, go to Costco.

The worst store in the bay area, so bad it hurts. Everyone who works here hates their lives, truly sad

We ordered a few shades through Home Depot. Robin from the shade department is warm, helpful and responsive. Thank you. The service that Home Depot contracts with came out to measure our windows and returned to mount the shades. They measured one window wrong, although it was the same size as the other window. It took months for them to reorder the mistake and install it. We had to call 10 or more times for the company to respond. We do not recommend buying shades from Home Depot due to our experience.

Best Home Depot within a 40 mile radius! They usually have everything in stock and the customer service was great! Robert in the rental department was amazing! Super helpful and we loved working with him :))

Worst customer service of any store of any kind on earth. I have story after story of terrible customer service, from the 2 employees watching me struggle with loading sheets of plywood while talking about their favorite kind of Marijuana, to (today) the guy who shuts down 1 of 2 lanes in the garden department while 6 customers are in line because he said he needs to "help" someone, then proceeds to stand outside the gate staring at the sky for the next 10 minutes, to the fact that there are seldom any lumber carts available and when you can find one, YOU need to scour the parking lot, to employees putting back shopping carts leaving them full of garbage, to the messy isles filled with crap that you can't get a lumber cart past, to the fact that the knowledge of the employees here seems like they're pranking you with how little they know. If I ever need anything serious, especially that will require help, I drive all the way from Oakland to the Lowes in Concord or better yet Ashby Lumber in Berkeley. I spend thousands of bucks on lumber & hardware every year. I dread when I need to go to this store, and I used to be a Home Depot fan before being subjected to the two Oakland stores. Yes, it's that bad.

This review is for your customer service employee Mary. An absolute nightmare of a human. I arrive and she calls me over to the desk and I tell her I have an order to pick up, she completely ignores me even though she called me over to the desk. She's doing her own thing scanning things. She's pissed that I'm there for an order. Starts mumbling under her breath. After 3 mins of just standing there in silence as if I'm not even there I then just leave the store. I'm shocked you allow someone like this to work here. This is the most bitter useless grumpiest thing I have ever seen. SeriouslyHome Depot wtf. Never coming back to this location. This is the 2nd time this lady completely refuses to do any work. The laziest employee in your entire store. You need to hire friendly workers who want to help people.

I really like this particular Home Depot. The shelves are always stocked. The checkers and workers are friendly and helpful. I like that when I ask a question they take the time to solve the problem or find the appropriate salesperson that can. I really appreciate Judy, in the Garden Center. This woman knows her stuff around some plants and she has a green thumb.

Don't come here if you need customer service. No one helps. Spent most my time just looking for help

No one ever wants to help me find anything. People are annoyed at me every time I ask . The numbers they have for the products in stock are not accurate, and no one seems to want to take responsibility to actually look for the product. One out of 10 people actually walk me to find a product. Prices are a lot more expensive than online/Amazon for many items.

I went here with my husband, mostly to walk around, but I was looking for a dehumidifier. The online website said that they had one and eventually, someone led me to the section. They didn't have any. But other than that, this store isn't really much different than other Home Depot locations. You wander around a bit until you come across what you are looking for. Which he did. This place does have better lighting than the El Cerrito store, which is a bonus. But the only time I come by here is when we are in the area, which is rare. But, when we're here sometimes we find what we are looking for.

Consistently too few cashiers. Came in at noon on Saturday and only two cashiers for the whole store. They have those automated checkouts but only two are open. They said each cashier could only handle two automated self checkouts. So the lines were 10 people for the cash line and 15+ for the automated line. A good way to loose money by trying to save money cutting hours.

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES AT HOME DEPOT!!! So I bought a dishwasher and refrigerator online at Home Depot from the emeryville store I believe. My unit was being renovated. The delivery guys were being VERY rough with it. I told them they need a dolly and he gave me attitude major attitude and asked me if I wanted to help him. When I checked for damage I looked at the front to see if there were any scratches. I didn't see any and accepted. About a week later the workers installed it. The dishwasher started leaking to the unit below. They pulled it out and found at the top left by the insulation in the back it was dented. And some of the black plastic stuff was cracked. Home Depot would not replace it because they said 48 hours had passed. They filed a sedgewick claim. After a week the claim person finally called and said they only handle damage to my property. They had me call Home Depot customer support. After a few calls (first call waited forever just to be disconnected), support told me that they can't help because of the 48 hour rule. They told me to call the manufacturer. The fridge freezer was also frosting over. The freezer door would open and shut everytime I closed the fridge door so the seal is not good. So they have to send a service person for that too. So the guy came and he said close the bottom door softly. Really? That's it. He adjusted the height of the freezer door too so hopefully it won't freeze over but for a brand new fridge this really sucks. So unless you can be super organized to install and test appliances asap upon delivery you will have the biggest headache.

The service in Home Depot sucks but the taco stand out front is delicious and budget friendly.

My plumber and I went to Home Depot in Emeryville to buy shower fixtures, bathroom sink fixture and a new commode, etc When he started working on the bathroom, he discovered that the "tub dispenser" was not in the box! Then, we returned to HD and fortunately, we were referred to Vanneung (not sure of spelling) who works in the plumbing dept. That man worked and walked around the store looking for the right part with us following him for at least 45 min. or more, until he found the part that my plumber could make work for our problem. We thank you, Mr. Plumber, and your knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference to resolve our shower issue.

Rented a carpet cleaner from them for an area rug. They ask that you bring it back clean, which is understandable, or they charge you an extra $25. I spent about ten minutes cleaning the bristles, hosed down the brush and picked as much dog hair I could out of it, but couldn't get the bristles totally clean. When I brought it back, the associate said I hadn't cleaned it. I asked him how to get that part clean, and he said I needed to power wash it. Scam for them to make more money out of a two hour rental.
