The manager takes liberties w/ closing time & had their security guard lock the doors before 6:00pm Daylight Savings Sunday. Customers still paying & streaming out 6:10pm, but can't p/u online order.

If you go in for an interview, they will explicitly tell you that you will hear back in 2 weeks whether you are hired or not, if not you are welcome to call for an update. Each time you call for an update, they will have a new excuse to why you have not heard back yet, whether it's them being too busy or the manager being out. Eventually, they will tell you that they are no longer hiring. Point is, the managers do not do their job at getting back to people so it is entirely pointless to go in for an interview because you will be told lies and left hanging.

I booked an appointment with the salon two weeks in advance and when I showed up found out that my appointment was “supposed to be” cancelled. They rebooked me a week out and when I arrived to THAT appointment I was told that the stylist couldn’t see me because she was doing another client at my appointment time and she had “personal issues” that prevented her from staying late. No accommodations were offered to me, I was told I could try a different salon. That’s it. It’s my birthday and I’m going on a trip and they have completely ruined this experience for me with absolutely no regard. I planned in advance and they ruined my efforts. I called and verified my appointment still stood the second time, I was affirmed over the phone and then denied in person. I could have made arrangements elsewhere now it’s too late to do anything. Do not come here for services. Don’t waste your time, seriously. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Okay store. When we visited they were out of a lot of the merchandise and the salespeople were hit and miss. One of them helped out well, a couple didn’t take much interest.

ULTA can improve by training its store leadership staff, specifically Trevor- general manager at the Emeryville, CA, on ULTA's return policy. Trevor insisted that I, a 50 year old woman, must enter my personal phone number or email to be eligible for a refund IF I wanted to return my purchased items. I gently told Trevor no, I will not give my cell nor email and that what he was stating wan NOT true. Trevor kept brow-beating and insisting that if I didn't offer my cell number or email that I wouldn't be eligible for a refund and that I needed to be clear about this. I again replied that all I needed to present was my paper receipt to be eligible for a refund. Trevor was stubborn and prideful and wouldn't admit he was mistaken. So shocking! As an older person shopping at ULTA:a) I don't want to be badgered nor manipulated by Trevor to give my personal data (cell phone, email, etc.) in order to be eligible for a refund! This is a lie!b) Be provided check-out services by Trevor, a supposed ULTA leader, who is not knowledgeable of ULTA's return policy nor by Trevor who in his positionality as general manager has probably manipulated a multiple of vulnerable marginalized older people like me into giving ULTA personal information in fear of not being eligible for a refund. If Trevor is going to work a register at a store that he manages, then ULTA should make certain he has adequate training in its return policy. I understand that customers can choose to OPT-IN their personal cell number or email to register as an Ultamate Rewards membership, but that it is just that, a CHOICE. Trevor, even the bottom of the paper receipt states, "Please retain receipt for returns!"

The worst customer service, no one was available, so I asked the cashier to show me the gift set perfum. She gave to me, and I asked her the price. I like the price, I was ready to take it. But another cashier asked her is that the last perfum? she replyed yes, she say somting to her and she tooks the perfum then gave to her. The other cashier try to gave to another custmer. The custmer told her, if ineed the perfum, I can take it. but she don't care. That's horreble.

Trevor’s a terrible gm and he plays favorites with his employees and is clearly racist.

don't use same day delivery service——Update: I love Ulta. Customer service is hit or miss but they have everything you need for hair, makeup, and skincare. Changed from 3 stars to 4 but I still hesitate on ordering same day delivery.

The cashier asked for my rewards card so she can add some points. It was my first (& last) time at Ulta so I declined and did not want to get a rewards card. She proceeded to call the next customer in line, offered them the points and checked them out before me. This is very weird customer service training.

I came here to check out Halsey's cosmetics and Color Pop, but for some reason they don't have any in stock! I thought all the brands were going to close down because the shelves were almost empty. . I was disappointed even though I came all the way.

The worst customer service! Horribly understaffed! No one was available on the floor, so I asked a cashier to let someone know I needed help. When someone did arrive, she completely ignored me and helped someone else. When I let her know that I needed help and I was the one that requested help, she got snippy and said she was the only one on the floor. That was enough for me to walk out. Don't go here if you want to have a pleasant shopping experience.

I hate false advertisement and this is a clear example of one. I went there for a nail polish I found the perfect color and I was so happy that price was only $5.00. The color that I liked was exactly above the price ($5.00). When I wanted to pay they said $11.00. And I mentioned that the price was $5, they went to check and they said was not that color, and the discount was only for color “ocean something”. How I as a customer am suppose to know that that color was in the incorrect place and how I was suppose to know that “CN” means “color ocean something”? Anyway, they did not honor the price of 5.00 and they didn’t do anything. It is not about the price, off course I can pay the $11. This complain is about the false advertising and how they managed the situation. Also prices are not visible in some products, really annoying.Second: this place is not stroller or handicap people friendly. I went with the stroller (normal size) and I was not able to walk in most areas because they are way too narrow.

The store has most things that's related to beauty you're looking for as well as a Hair Salon
