This place has a really impressive selection, especially considering it’s in the city. Mark was incredibly helpful with all of our questions. I will definitely be back for more.

Steven is so helpful! I have been trying to find eucalyptus plants forever! Found it here but also all the plants here are HEALTHY!! I've been to a couple nurseries and you can just tell plants aren't getting enough TLC. But to top off Steven suggested other plants that would go well with my eucalyptus. He is so informative, glad I stopped by this place!

We have about 10 very large tropical milkweed plants and a handful of native narrow leaf milkweed planted throughout our front and back yard to attract Monarch butterflies every year. It's been a science experiment that my little one has enjoyed since she was 3 years old and this year was no different. She really enjoys looking for eggs and cats every day, watching them go through their lifecycle and taking care of them until they are ready to be released. After our first year of planting, we've never had an issue with our milk weed supply until this year. The season seemed to start late but we had more than ever. Our last dozen or so caterpillars ate through every single leaf we had so we were in somewhat of a panic. I called the nurseries around me that I know do not use pesticides on their plants and no one had any. I expanded the area and called Andersons and the gentleman who answered the phone said they had just got a shipment in so within a few hours, my daughter and I were there picking out some plants for our friends at home. We think this is the last of the bunch since we have no more leaves for the butterflies to lay their eggs on but I'm so glad that Andersons is committed to providing pesticide free milkweed to give our Monarch Butterflies a fighting chance. We'll be sure to keep Andersons high on the list if we run out of milkweed again.

Asked them to order thai basil..they never even responded. Got an answer, and no reply line to that answer, however, I hope they read this. I ordered green Shiso basil, hopefully they can get it now for me.

Wonderful selection of pottery and plants that I check out each spring.. and take back to Colorado to see if I can keep them alive there the prices are higher than the farmers markets but their variety of plants makes up for that.

We found this nursery when looking up some in the San Diego area and even though it's a little further up north, this nursery was huge and had a lot of different plants. It was really fun to explore and check out all the plants and they also had a lot of options for house plants which was I was mainly looking for. They also had a lot of pots and the people working there were very nice about answering any questions we had and helping us figure out what size pot and soil we needed.

Nice nursery, with a lot of different plants. They have flower plants. Some are inside the greenhouse, some are outside the greenhouse. They have plants with leaves. It’s cute and definitely is worth a visit. Also has parking. Unlike Home Depot, where you might have to park far. You park real close here.

Place is so cool. Great plants, lots and fountains, seeds from San Diego Seed company. Wish they would turn this into a espresso cafe and add a few takes out along the La Costa Ave.

Nice selection, helpful staff, and the best prices for soil and potting mix that I’ve found. I wish I’d realized that before wasting a bunch of money at Green Thumb when I should have gotten everything at Anderson’s. My only complaint is that the native plant selection could be a bit better but it really depends on the day.

Have been going there for many years. Used to love the place. After today I will not be going again. There was a guy working today August 25@ around 3:00 p.m. I had called the nursery the day before to ask about some trees I had purchased 6 months ago and suddenly some were dying after months of growing and doing really well.None of the obvious things like watering, bugs, soil, were an issue. The person I spoke to yesterday said “ bring some branches off them, take some pictures and bring them in. I did that. The man working would not move from his spot behind the cash register, looked at me and my little bag of branches and sarcastically said”sorry” after I told him my situation. I had assumed they stood behind their plant’s ( like Home Depot or Lowes) He said no such luck”we don’t take back dead plants like the multi-million $ box stores. I replied” then you should put up a Sign here stating that” He shrugged his shoulders. We bought 16 trees from them at 150.00 each.the reason I had alwaysdone business there was the variety of plants and quality of service even though I knew they were much more expensive than any box store. I had to then ask if he had any advice concerning the dying trees and he said he really did not know and it was obvious that I was not going to get any help or advice from him. He looked totally bored, I felt like a fool since I have recommending this place for years. Wow. I get it that stores are understandfsupplies are drying up everywhere, but I think one should not walk away from a place ready to cry because of the treatment given by a place of businesses employee.
