The view of the city is amazing. The staff and service was great. The room was clean and tidy and very homely. The beds was comfortable and peaceful.
Rooms: Clean, spacious, comfortable 👌🏾 😌
Nearby activities: Escondido shops are 5-10 minutes away.
We spent time in the gaslamp district which is about 35/40 minutes away.
Walkability: There are shops across the street from the hotel.

Very convenient location off the #5 and near Coast Hwy. The staff are very kind and helpful. The rooms are adequate (maybe a blanket that pulls all the way up to the pillows would help taller people). The breakfast is average and could be improved or simply go to one of the great restaurants on Coast Hwy.
For business in the area, it is a great option. It is best to pay extra for an ocean view room on the 3rd floor with a low 300's number. The rooms on the East side of the hotel with higher numbers have quite a bit of freeway noise and the view is mostly of a shopping center parking lot (The "Parkview" is really "Parking Lot view with freeway noise."
I will continue to come to this hotel when I am in the area.

Such a great value. I’d love to return but I was overcharged $100 and nobody seems to know what I’m talking about.. I’d like to have this money back obviously. If returned and the problem did not reoccur this would be 4 stars.

Front desk guy (white curly hair) at around 10pm on 12/6 was INCREDIBLY rude. Enough to scare any customer away. Avoid like the plague!!

Staff were awesome. Lots of amenities. Please make it clear that the $15 incidentals fee is PER DAY! After a week, that adds up. What are incidentals anyway?

Hands down one of top local places Ive stayed in a long time. The rooms and the service are phenomenal!
Nathan at the front desk was one of the friendliest and helpful professionals. The service and amenities only came second to the positive energy that Nathan contributed to the establishment.
I give the Encinitan Hotel a 10 out of 10. I will defiantly be coming back.

Please make yourself a favor and never stay at this hotel.
I reserved a room last week for two workers and everything went well, yesterday I reserved two rooms. The room located at third floor was a king size bed, our worker went in the room, he found the bed and pillows moved like when somebody is laying down, and two wet towels in the bathroom, he thought they had not cleaned the room, he left his personal belongs and went down to get something from his car, when he returned to the room all his personal belongs were gone, somebody stole them.
Our worker went and made the report to the front desk, the lady at the front said call the police because there is nothing that we can do about it, they do not have security cameras according to the front desk lady.
Very disappointed with this hotel.

MOLD!!!! Disgusting. Such a terrible experience. No microwave. No bathtub. Did not feel comfortable staying there with our infant. No way to contact anybody... called the front desk twice with no reply. The lobby felt like a smog check waiting area... looks like it used to be part of the garage. The continental breakfast was a joke. Everything was super processed and gross. The new logo and rebrand made me think they had fixed the place up and updated things - clearly they did not. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

I was very disappointed with my stay at The Encinitan, It is in a great location being close to Moonlight beach and downtown Encinitas.
The Bad: You could tell there was a renovation that was done at the lowest price point since the ceiling was cracking the crown moulding had gaps. They did not think about the needs of guests since the only outlets were on 1 side of the room not near the bed and I had to unplug the lamp and Clock to plug in my Cpap and Phone for charging. The water pressure in the shower is extremely low and makes it hard to shower, The Noise from the train and the road below was terrible as the train blairs it horn when passing through the area past 11pm, and the cars and trucks sound like they are in your room.( I was on the 3rd floor )
The amount of bird poop on the balcony was disgusting,
and Housekeeping was knocking on my door at 8:30am on a Saturday! I brought this all up to the check in desk in the morning and all I got from was that he would talk to the Housekeeping manager. The parking is terrible and my Truck got scratched while I was there, and I was only there 1 night! Not recommended as a place to stay.

This place is not great. Looks like they slapped some paint on a dilapidated motel. The shower water and bathroom reeked of sewer water and was visibly moldy. The customer service was also sub par. They wouldn’t answer the phone each time I called the front desk, and they didn’t even have regular coffee in the room, only decaf. I would rate 1 star if it weren’t for the location. Would not stay here again.
