I took my one month old BMW X5E I bought at Encinitas BMW end because it had a warning saying it was unsafe to drive and to bring to the nearest BMW dealership immediately when I got there the warning was no longer on the screen. They looked and said they could see in the computer message had been. They said it could be two or three days before I can get my car back being a live deer the dealership I could see my car in the lower lot parked and not moved every day for four days I called and they said that they were about to bring it in to the service bay, this was laid on the fourth day mid day on the fifth day I see my car still had not been moved from their storage lot. Same parking spot park the same way I called again while standing looking at the car in the lower parking lot my service representative wasn’t available and I left a voicemail asking him to call me two hours later I received a text message saying my vehicle is ready for pick up. I went in and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it and wanted me to sign the paperwork that they had worked on it so they could get reimbursed from Bmw, I told them I was aware they did not work on it and simply the warning light wasn’t on at the moment they said OK take the car and leave. Within two days the same morning came on saying the vehicle was on safe to drive and to take immediately to the dealership for service. I took it to a different dealership and they have it at the moment I took pictures of the display each time it has appeared.Yet BMW of Encinitas seems to think that a warning that says the vehicle is unsafe to drive is no big deal.To sum it up, they are dishonest, despicable, business!

That was a pretty unreal experience. Made an appointment for oil change on Sunday. Service rep. told me that the shop is too busy to do the oil change today and I will need to leave the car with them till the end of the week. I asked for a loner and got rejected. I then asked what was the point for me to make an appointment and the guy replied that it was so I could drop off my car. What???Aside from all this, the place looks like a dump, no Customer lounge.The office was a size of my garage.Obviously, never coming there again

I’ve never had a worse experience getting an oil change in my life. Called a week before and made a morning appointment. When I arrived for my appointment there was no order or direction when dropping the car off, I kinda had to figure it out. Then the service adviser asked if I needed a ride home, I said no I’ll wait, she then told me they don’t allow waiting ,they don’t have loaner cars and that a Lyft would take me home. I was told the car would be done end of the day.I live 30 minutes away so a heads up wile making the appointment would have been nice. They advised me a Lyft would also be available to take me back to my car, I scheduled it for the next morning. When I got there to pick up my car I felt the same way as dropping off that I had to guess and figure out how to retrieve my vehicle. Got hant my keys with no “hey here’s what we did and your all set”So basically if you want your 30 minutes scheduled oil change to be a ordeal this is the place.Services: Wheel alignment

This is my first time writing a Google review. The service we have received here has been shockingly poor. To the point of looking into trading in my vehicle for another brand that comes with great service. It's so sad to see a company managed and run this poorly. I'm an Encinitas local and have been for decades, I thought it would be great to go to a local dealership, I was VERY wrong! If you want quality service PLEASE go somewhere else!Service: Tires

This dealership has been the most unprofessional and unacceptable dealership I have ever dealt with. I purchased my car from them in January, and moved shortly after, so my registration and plates were sent to my previous address accidentally. After realizing why I had not received them, I spoke to Edith on the phone who informed me I needed to come in to sign a form requesting replacement reg/plates. Upon getting to the dealership, Melanie with finance had no idea what paper I was even talking about, and took 20 minutes to figure it out. I signed the papers, with my new updated address, and was told everything would be taken care of. 2 weeks later I still had no reg or plates, so I called to ask what was going on. They still had my old address on file, and did not know where my new plates were. I once again updated them of my new address, and they informed me they would be sent out asap. A week goes by, still nothing. I called multiple times, multiple days, spoke with multiple people, left multiple messages, and nobody has an answer for me. Morgan, the finance dept manager, has made promises to have answers for me, yet has not called me back after leaving numerous voicemails. I am now an entire month later after going to the dealership to sign the paper for replacement reg/plates, without any registration or license plates, which have now been expired for a month and a half. I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership, and will inform any acquaintances of mine looking to buy a car to steer very clear of this BMW dealership.

This review is for the service department. I've been going to this dealership for 18 years & seen the service department become more & more overbooked & disorganized. I brought my X5 in for a couple of small brake issues & replacing one tire & was originally told 1.5 hour wait, which stretched to 4 hours, which ended up being an all day thing for a very brief service. My technician (Miguel) was conscientious, customer focused & hardworking, but he cannot perform miracles with the tools he was given - way too many clients, not enough technicians. It would've better to schedule less vehicles & get the work done in a timely manner rather than overbook, creating a completely chaotic drop off scenario & have anxious & increasingly agitated customers needing their vehicles completed & returned. After buying multiple BMWs from this dealership, my service today had me pissed & anxious as I missed every appointment scheduled after 2pm & ready to be done with giving this dealership opportunities to handle themself. I hope that management reads Yelp & seriously reacts to the many recent unhappy reviews.

We had changed from Vista to Encinitas for service as customer service went down thr drain at Vista which seems to be sliding downhill here in Encinitas too now that a few true good sales reps have left for better opportunities outside of car sales & service. Hopefully management or corporate will train those that work I'm office on better csr skills because it seems like one is an inconvenience to them even with an appointment for general service.

My husband and I bought a car from here 2 weeks ago. Shoutout to Jordan for great service on the test drive no problems with him. However we were recommended to check this dealer out and what a complete waste. They still have not paid off our car with trade in and it's past due. And no one picks up the phone at that dealership. Not to mention there is broken light in the car that is noticeable at night and we were told they were gonna take care of it and again no contact from them and of course you guessed it they don't answer their phone. We have a newborn child and busy schedule and constantly trying to get hold of them is absolutely crazy

Service department needs overhaul. Poor communication from beginning to end. Took 20 mins past my scheduled drop off time at 8:45am for scheduled service to speak with someone. Car was promised by 2:30. Nobody ever called. Called their myself at 4....said someone call me back. Nobody did. I had to call back next morning to find out whats going on......Oh, your car is ready....

I got ripped off on a car that is not worth what I was charged. Justin the manager overcharged by quite a few dollars. There are way better dealers in San Diego county.

You made my purchase of a brand new BMW X3 the most seamless, hassle free and pleasant experience that I recommend everyone & anyone in the market for a new vehicle to visit your location. I will definitely be taking the long commute to visit your service center for all my maintenance & scheduled service intervals. I felt so welcomed and was presented with the greatest offer I couldn't refuse. So great that a negotiation would have felt rude on my part. And for that I thank you both. FYI - I visited 2 BMW dealerships prior to stumbling across your location. And both prior dealerships made me feel like I was an inconvenience to their operation.

I highly recommend this dealership everyone was friendly and worked on making sure I had a great experience. They made sure this was special since it was my wedding anniversary gift. Absolutely great service from nick in sales and Iyed in finance. Definitely appreciated it a lot since I came over after a bad experience at bmw of El Cajon.

The service department is pretty pathetic. To start the service department office itself reminds me of a 90's garage with naked female calendars. The place is messy, everyone looks grumpy and uninterested in you and your business. Went there for a brake and rotor replacement, after having been booked for weeks. Not just they did not have the part in stock they quoted me only half of the job. After asking for the rotor quote I was told to wait for a call. It's been a week and haven't heard from them but booked elsewhere for a service as they clearly don't need my business.
