“Surprising how much you get with the “basic” they did a good job on the inside even though it’s just a quick vacuum. I had some stubborn tree sap that they did not get off but I guess I can’t expect them to spend the time on that with the basic. My Subaru Outback got charge as an SUV which is +10 so basically $60 for a hand wash that gets everything except the stubborn stuff and then you get a good vacuum too. I’ll be back.”

I have been going here for years and have been very happy. But the last 2 times I went, I stopped the wash and it stated the charge was $9.00 one time and $7.00 the other. My credit card was actually billed $15 one time and $20 the other. This is the second time so I guess I will go to a full service car wash in the future at that price.”

“I’ve gone to this location roughly 5 times as it is local to my house on Coast Hwy. That said, the location is great right on the south side of Encinitas. The bays are decent size, not cramped but not big.
A common flaw I find at DIY washes are running out of supplies, whether it be degreaser, foam, wax, etc. Not a problem here. I have yet to (and doubt I will) find a time where anything is depleted.
The vacuums are good, the pressure on the hoses are good. For a DIY wash, I find it to be one of the best in the area, but I do believe prices can use some slight decreases.
Every time I go, I typically need 2 full cycles once I use my card (tap to pay is available here which is great) to wash my truck, truck bed, fender liners and maybe my engine bay depending on the condition. 2 full cycles will be $50. I can’t quite remember if a full session is 10 or 15 minutes. That said, I understand that a location on Coast Hwy is not cheap, and that the cost for keeping supplies always stocked (from what I’ve experienced) is not a cheap expense, therefore I can understand their position. Even a decrease to $20 per full session would be a lot more competitive, as the price wouldn’t be so high enough to drive out a customer that doesn’t believe they are getting their money worth. One more thing to note, as I discovered this on my second visit: ensure that once pay with card, when you have finished, don’t turn the dial to ‘stop’ and walk away. You must press the silver button on the card reader to stop the timer and complete the transaction, otherwise the timer will run out to the max of either 10 or 15 minutes (as I said, I don’t remember which it is).
It’s not 5 star worthy in my eyes due to the pricing, but it definitely is a great car wash for DIYers and I’d recommend it to anyone that doesn’t mind coughing up a couple extra dollars.”
