⚠️ BEWARE OF THE HIGH SCHOOL CLIQUE ENERGY HERE - 🚩JULIE B— NOT A SAFE SPACE FOR DIVERSE OR LGBTQ+ PEOPLE⚠️
I’ve practiced at many CorePower locations and love what the brand stands for, but this studio feels completely unsafe and unprofessional.
The first time I came in, another student’s wallet was stolen during class. Her cards were being charged while we were still in the studio. The locker area is supposed to be secure and only staff have access — which makes the whole situation feel suspicious and like they are in on it. The staff laughed about it and didn’t take it seriously, showing zero accountability.
The second time, in Julie B’s class, the instructor singled out a Latino LGBT student for “breathing too loud,” even though other students (including myself) were just as audible. It came across as bullying, discriminatory, and completely against CorePower’s values.
Julie didn’t demonstrate proper technique, offered little guidance, and seemed more focused on gossiping and showing off to a group of regulars than on actually teaching. The lack of professionalism, training, and inclusivity was alarming.
This studio has serious cultural and ethical issues that go far beyond one bad class — it’s an unsafe, cliquey, and hostile environment that does not represent what CorePower stands for. I truly hope corporate investigates and retrains this team before more students are driven away.

What a treasure this place is! Staff is warm and welcoming. The facility was great. The instruction, music energy, and vibe were exceptional! I'm hooked!

This is one of my favorite CPY locations. There's plenty of parking and one of the studios has large windows and is surrounded by trees.

I absolutely love this studio! Having been to many corepower facilities in a few different states and cities, I can easily say the Encinitas crew is my favorite. All of the instructors are super knowledgeable, professional, friendly and personable, and the vibe here is unmatched! Been coming here for two years and counting, I highly recommend becoming part of the CorePower community :)

One of my favorite studios in the area. The instructors are very friendly. Studio is always super clean and the way the mirrors are situated helps the feng shui energy flow in my body thanks me every time I come here. Love love ?

I cannot say enough amazing things about this studio! I came back to yoga about two months ago after a long break as a result of depression following a knee injury. My knee had prevented me from doing just about any exercise I liked doing so I decided to try yoga again. I was also overweight as the result of the depression. I was very nervous about how I would be responded to coming back to this place of beautiful and fit people. Omg.... All the instructors were so welcoming and gave me advice on how to do the classes while still protecting my knee and have continued to cheer me on towards my progress. I have definitely lost weight and my knee is so much better! Plus I feel so much better about myself!!! All of the instructors are phenomenal but a few have been especially awesome (Xuyen, Kristina, Nundhia and Joseph). I am so relieved to have found this place and amonly sorry I didn't put my fear aside and start sooner.

Jacqueline's Yoga Sculpt classes are my absolute favorite!! No other instructor compares to her. I always get such a great workout with her! I wish she had more classes and was on the schedule more!! <3

Took Jaqueline H's sculpt class on Saturday morning, she was absolutely wonderful. The class was strenuous but fun and effective, will definitely become a regular!

Laura was amazing!!! She taught Core restore and after a super stressful day she made that one hour feel like a peaceful time in heaven. Super helpful, to stress out the body while in meditation and relaxation. Couldn't recommend Laura's class enough. Thank you again! -Dylan S
