Poorly managed. They do not value customers. The clerks knew nothing and cannot help you. Don’t buy stuff here. I had a problem with a return and the store manager Terri Wood and counter clerk Jonathan Martilla gave me attitudes, rolled their eyes while i was talking, cut off my sentences and refused to reason with me.

Don’t shop here, it’s not worth it. I have never been disrespected like I did here. The store manager Terri Wood mocked me and refused to speak to me when I tried to return a pair of sneakers that were barely worn. I was misinformed about the return policy by a store clerk in the first place.

Amazing and very professional team store wide. Very friendly and helpful. Chris took his time to help me find and get what I am looking for. I ordered large sport equipment and he was extremely helpful with all order details and pickup. Thank you Chris and all your team for amazing service and experience. Ahmed

I like Dick's Sporting Goods. But honestly when you're shopping during the Christmas season, and there's only one checker helping out to get you out of the store is offensive. Specially, when you have other employees doing nothing with a manager should be taking notice of this and making sure that there's more than one person checking out customers.

We spent nearly one hour in Dick's Sporting Goods today. We came in looking for a clothing line that we had seen online, VRST. When we finally flagged down one of the sales associates, she spent as little time as possible with us letting us know that whatever prices were online were not what they have in the store. We showed her the joggers and merchandise on the DSG site and asked if they price matched or honored what they advertise online. She promptly told my husband and I, "that's a new product line and we would not be discounting them so early in the store." I took it one step further and asked her again if they would honor the online price in order to make a sale, she said no. The thing that surprised me the most was the fact that if she didn't want to answer the question, she could've easily directed us to the manager on duty but she was not interested in making a sale. What's the moral of this story? Dicks Sporting Goods is looking to drive your path to purchase through their website versus their store. I wonder if she realizes that continuing to have that kind of attitude could likely land her without a job due to store closures. #dickssportinggoods I would welcome a response from Dick's Sporting Goods corporate.

This is a review for the Encinitas CA Store. My wife had been in the store a number of times over the years, but never wound up purchasing much. With their noble stance on the recent RvW decision we entered the store with a new found purpose. We needed Pickleball rackets and were directed to the proper place in the store by a friendly employee. They had a good selection with a wide range of price points. Being new to the sport we really didn't have any idea on how to select a racket. We asked 3 different employees for assistance, but none of them had any expertise to share. Two of them told us that only the store manager could help, but she was busy. Another employee told us that the one employee that knew pickleball equipment was busy stocking shelves. The employee helping us tried to relay some of our questions to the one knowledgeable employee who was stocking shelves, but that was inefficient and proved to be not really very helpful. In the end, the Manager never showed up and we decided to just purchase it from Amazon where at least they have reviews to read.I suggest the following:1. Make the sales floor the companies focus2. If a customer is waiting for sales assistance, that should be more important than stocking shelves3. Train your employees on the equipment4. Refocus the Manager's priorities. Sales should be a top priority, even over administration. With your current poor sales support, good luck competing with Amazon.

Dressing rooms are locked. Everytime you need to try something on, you have to call over an employee, which has to find a key. This is a massive inconvenience for both the customer and the people that work here. Prices are average to expensive. The layout of the store is the same as sports authority which this dicks store replaces. So if your expecting a different experience, this is not it.

Great store, friendly employees, they opened a new check out counter without the line being outrageously long, which is awesome. This is a very clean, well organized location... and in one corner there is even a batting cage for swinging at baseballs. I would come back to this spot because I liked it so much!

I received an email from Dick's Sporting Goods marketing, noting that if your kids are in FNL, you can get their gear at Dick's with a discount. So, needing a pair of football cleats for my kids, we travel to Dick's. They had one pair of cleats and no sizes available. Feeling a loss here, my daughter needed sweat pants, the thin material kind; nope! The last few times I have come to Dick's, they just don't seem to carry the equipment that we need. To not have football cleats in stock when they advertise to come to their store for that very purpose, and when there are thousands of kids in the local FNL program (there were three that day looking for cleats) that is year round, is a management/leadership issue. They are not connected to the local community activities. Oh, but if you need Crocs, there are more pairs than one can imagine (see pic). Makes no sense.

Dicks have good selection but pretty limited return policy. We bought a sports equipment that turned out to be too short for my daughter. We tired an exchange but Dicks refused to any kind of return/exchange or give any kind of credit since they saw some sign of use. Not sure how they are surviving with this policy when every other retailer are much more liberal. Do your self a favor and buy from Amazon or Walmart unless you are sure you may not need a return or exchange.
