Took my vacuum in for replacing the motor. I was told to leave the vacuum and that it could take up to 2 weeks. An hour later I got a call from Anna saying that it would be ready in 1 and a half hours. Salvadore had already started work putting in a used motor. I would have gladly waited for a new motor. When I came to pick it up Anna showed me a piece that they went ahead and put on my handle. Did not want it after using vacuum the third time it heated up, started smoking and the motor died. I spent $125 for nothing. I have to go buy a new vacuum. I know now that they changed parts on my vacuum or gave me a totally different one. They are cheats and thieves. Do not ever go there. They should both be in jail.

Big rip off ! They charged me $149 to evaluate my sewing machine and said it couldn't be fixed, was too old, can't get parts, etc and tried to sell me a new machine. Took it for a second opinion at Sewing Machines Plus who said it WAS fixable and wouldn't have charged me if they couldn't fix it.

Super easy and straight forward. Replaced a Dyson vacuum head in a day. They accept old and broken vacuums and have a great selection of new and used ones as well.

I generally don't like to give negative reviews, especially to small businesses, but when someone is rude and condescending and ultimately overcharges me for their service I'll write a negative review. I've purchased a few thousand dollars worth of vacuums from this store and will never step foot in the store again.

I stopped by a few weeks ago and an older woman who was there was not helpful, saying I needed to buy an expensive new part for the Miele vacuum cleaner I had purchased there. I was unhappy with her dismissive attitude so I took my vacuum cleaner home and repaired it myself! Recently I called to ask a question about my electronic sewing machine. The woman who answered the phone sounded like the same woman I had previously encountered in the store. She was evasive, wouldn't even tell me the name of the repairman . When I told her I preferred to speak with him because he had been so helpful when I spoke with him before she said his name was Salvador but he didn't repair sewing machines. She said she had a special technician who would be the person to repair my sewing machine and she wouldn't even tell me his name, saying the owner would not let her give out his name. What is wrong with this company that they have such an unhelpful person supposedly serving customers??? Of course I'll take my sewing and vacuum cleaner needs to a business that is more service oriented. I am so sorry this is the case. I used to like to come to this place but won't any more after not one but two unfortunate experiences. To say that woman is bad for business is an understatement!

Had a great experience! Brought in my Dyson vacuum that Ive had never had cleaned. They told me it would take an hour but actually had it done in 30 minutes. Very pleasant experience overall, I’ll definitely be back for future cleanings!

I was told my sewing machine would be impossible to fix. The fellow "could not even give me an estimate of cost" because it was too difficult for him to do without opening the machine!" Sewing machine repairmen are few and far between but I was extremely lucky to have a referral for Encinitas Sewing and Vacuum. The repair guy charged a little bit more b/c my machine has a built-in computer. I agreed to the charge gladly hoping I would not have to buy a new machine. He fixed the machine in two days time, cleaned interior and exterior carrier as well. The receptionist was responsive to my concern and called me right away so I could pick it up before the long Christmas Holiday. I brought them a box of See's Candy to show them how much I appreciated their services.

I had a terrible experience at Encinitas Vacuum the other day. I have NEVER received such disingenuous almost mean-spirited service. I agree with Rich K.'s review of 10/14/2023.I called in to their company and was told by the man on the phone that I could bring in my Sebo vacuum for him to take a look at. I really just need a new hose and I have put duct tape on it. My husband put the vacuum in the car for me as I have a bad shoulder and it is heavy. I pulled my car right up to their front door. My vac is pretty old and if need be I was in the market to purchase a new one from them. The woman inside told me they would not come to the back of my car, 15-20 steps away, to take a look. As Rich K. said, they wanted money for that. (I wasn't told that by the man on the phone.) I was flabbergasted? The man just stood there. They would not even bring it in for me. She seemed to think it was no big deal if I just left. I told her it was so bizarre and that I could have been possibly buying a new one from them. She didn't care and had a weird smile on her face. Like she was on some sort of power trip. PLEASE don't waste your time with these people.

We took our vacuum on a Saturday afternoon after it suddenly stopped working. This place was open, which was great!!! The lady that helped us was very attentive and worked with us until she found the source of the problem. The owner arrived a bit later and confirmed what the lady had informed us. We ordered the part and it arrived faster than expected!! Very satisfied

They sold us a great Miele and had exactly what we needed in stock! Then when I dropped my new vacuum from a ladder and thought I was going to have to buy a new one, they fixed it! Perfectly and quickly! For way less than I expected! Amazing service and amazing products! Best vacuum store ever!

I called and spoke with Anna today to see if she could fix my dyson vacuum. I broke it and the container would not open so i couldnt dump the can. She said to bring it in and she would work on it and repairs were $89. So i went right away. She was amazing. She say that my vacuum was broken and are was getting in. She said it wouldnt suck well. So she changed the plastic that was broken for parts from a different Dyson for me, and then she cleaned it for me. Then she reassembled it. She only charged $110 for all that. So i walked out with a much better vacuum that was clean and worked much better. So amazing. I had no idea vacuums needed to be cleaned. Feeling blessed. Thank you Anna!

If you are looking for a shop to service your vacuum or sewing machine or invest in a new machine this is the place! Anna and her husband are wonderful. I have been coming to their shop for years and I have always received the best service. Always friendly and helpful with super fair pricing. ❤️

Left sewing machine for repair with gentleman who said it would cost $70-$80. When woman called for pick-up, she told me it would be $160 cc or $150 cash. I expressed that I did not authorize this cost. She claimed that I was called. I wasn't. Even if they had, they did not speak to me to get my consent. Machine costs $180 new. Would never approve a $160 repair cost on a $180 machine.

This place is dishonest and ripped us off. I have used this service for over 15 years for vacuum repairs. This week my husband brought in a broken handle on our upright vacuum to have it repaired. He was told it couldn't be repaired. The man who works there sold him a old vacuum upright only no attachments and it needed bags for $220. My husband doesn't know anything about vacuums. He was handling this since I had just had surgery. The next day at 9:30 he went to store to return vacuum, a woman was there and was nasty, refused to help him, kick him out of store. The following day we spoke on phone to the man, who said he would give us store credit. By the way no receipt was given for this purchase either. We don't want credit, our vacuum that he said was broken works!. The following day, he took the old vacuum back and gave us only partial refund. $120. So he still ripped us off for $100.I will share this all over town.
