Encinitas Viewpoint is a cute little park next to the library, offering a gorgeous and breathtaking view of the area. It features a decent, clean, and safe playground with pleasant play structures, some shaded, including swings, a big slide, a little four-person seesaw, and a forest truck. The playground is perfect for kids and is in a gated area. The park has a nice, well-maintained grassy space ideal for a blanket picnic, with several table benches to enjoy a meal, do some work, or relax in the sun. It is a great park for a picnic, reading, or some relaxing. There are no restrooms at the park, but the public library is across the street. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed outside of designated off-leash hours in the morning and evening; it is not a dog park. Parking can be difficult when the library is busy. Visitors are reminded to be mindful of noise in the evenings.
Cute little park with a decent playground. Parking can be difficult if the Library is poppin. The view from the little hill is breathtaking, but so is the smell of dog pee at the playground.
