I wouldn't mind this little store. My special needs child loves it. The manager though. She is a real piece of work. I feel sorry for ppl who have to work with her or under her. She is over baring and inconsiderate. I feel she assumes I'm going to steal. I am a grown woman with a steady income. Stealing at a 5 dollar store is the last thing on my agenda. Let alone stealing at all. She needs a lesson on management if you ask me. We will take our time and money elsewhere.

I would not shop at this five and below because I left some items in the cart the manager came over and went through my whole bag to make sure I wasn't stealing anything. And then talk to her employees like I wasn't even there even after I told her I just spent $50 in the store and those items are mine she still had the nerve to go through. And act like I didn't even existed when I was talking to her. So therefore I left the store came back and decided to return all my stuff because I don't want to support a store that treats people like that. I'm a small business owner and I don't treat any of my customers like that ever for any. And she should be embarrassed by the way she just acted cuz I did nothing to deserve that. So I highly would not recommend this store that's all I'm saying thank you

This Five Below location is great except they've had the back part of the store blocked off for quite a while since November of 2022 since the store opened and the location is almost always out of stock of things and has the same item selection but other than that I really love Five Below you can find things under 5 dollars and upper and service her is great except they close the self checkouts and people have to assist you checking out which I don't understand why if it's self-checkout!

8 self checkouts and not 1 working? Pointless system. Only 1 cashier working with 6 people in line. Maybe start utilizing the self checkouts for a better experience

Complete crap. Bought 4 toys and 3 broke after the first day. Go to target and pay $10 for something that will work for longer than 1 day.

Love this store! Five below recently opened here in Encinitas. The store has a lot of holiday offerings at reasonable prices. I was greeted by associates welcoming me in to shop. The store is bright with wide aisles. I couldn't believe how many miscellaneous items are available. From art and stationary offerings to gifts for your pets, electronics, candy, select clothing items and more. You just have to come down to visit to see everything they offer. As the name of the store suggests, most items are five dollars and below. There are a few items that are priced a little higher, but everything is tagged clearly so that there is no confusion. I'm definitely going to grab a few holiday pillows for my home and as I browse, I'm sure I'll pick up some other things before I leave. Make sure to add Five Below to your shopping plans.
