They have a $388 diagnostic fee that doesn’t go towards repairs. Don’t drop your car off here for smog issues.
All I can do is base my review off of my experience with customer service and fees since I didn’t accept their estimate.
When I first failed smog I was suggested to their shop. I went and they said they didn’t have space and to come back next week and I did. Upon dropping my car off, this time customer service decided to mention there is a $388 diagnostic fee for my vehicle. They also informed me that the fee was separate and wouldn’t go towards the cost of repairs. I should have walked away then but I was in a pinch because of time and work so I said ok. If this was mentioned to me when I first came by the week before, I would have made other arrangements. Today I called because I had a missed call. They informed me it would be $1300 and change for O2 sensors and a thermostat… they thankfully informed me that they needed this installed before they could proceed with other reasons it isn’t going to pass smog. Sounds like the classic pipe dream. I said no, came and picked up my car and am now figuring it out. When I gave my buddy- a person works on 80s Landcruiser’s for a living the quote, he laughed at me and called me a sucker… if he was closer he’d be the mechanic. Oh well such is life. I am not giving a one / two star review because that would be reserved for if they did bad work. I fairly can’t speak on that and others seem happy. Maybe I just had a terrible / misguided experience. It’s unfortunate but it happens.

They are honest, fair in their pricing, and go out of their way to give customers clear information on what needs service and how long it will take. Mechanics know their stuff inside and out. I received excellent service during my visit, with a remarkably quick turnaround time. Despite it being a busy day, Ferguson’s handled my smog check efficiently and without any issues. I appreciate their professionalism and would be happy to recommend their services to others.

I can can always expect friendly and professional mechanical service at Ferguson's garage, Plus I have AAA which came in handy since Ferguson's garage is Triple AAA approved. Customer safety is a Ferguson's garage priority.

This is the best spot! Most trustworthy, honest & professional car repair experience I’ve had, with great communication. Troy and the team fixed my issue for an extremely reasonably cost, & explained what needed to be done in a way I could understand. The repairs were done quickly, while accommodating my schedule. Staff here turned what is often a stressful experience into a pleasure!

Excellent Quick Efficient
This time of year dealing with AAA DMV and the systems in place for car requirements I made an appointment with one of the recommended shops! I showed up on time and it wasn’t the right shop! NO PROBLEM! I felt confident respected and heard. Took 20 minutes in and out and they had cars stacked! Highly recommend finished all my business with AAA DMV and getting my tags in one hour!! Very grateful good experience

I have been using Fergerson's Garage for years. They always take good care of my 2003 Tahoe. All the staff is friendly, and any repairs are always explained fully so even a non-car person like me can understand. I highly recommend them.

We take all our cars to Furgerson's for smog checks. Staff is super friendly and it is easy to make an appointment. Definitely call ahead so you don't have to wait. They don't try to oversell you on other service. Anything they have recommended has been confirmed by my regular mechanic.
