Ryan head cashier was super awesome and took the time to help me look for a light fixture and got me a cart so I wouldn't have to strain myself. Excellent service awesome guy! Thank you, Ryan.

This entire review is for Derek in the paint department. I stopped by today to pick up some primer, as I approached the paint counter to ask a simple question - where is the primer? Derek would not help me unless I was on the other side of the counter...so I obliged & hobbled over (I broke my toe and it's still healing. It's a pain and I'm trying to walk as little as possible) Derek sees me very blatantly hobble over....then tells me I am apparently still not on the "right side" of the counter...wtf? Very obvious this a weird power trip game for a disgruntled middle aged man who hates women & probably peaked in high school. He would have never treated me this way if my husband was with me. I tell Derek never-mind that I'll find it on my own and he yells after me "it's down aisle 8! You can wander around all you want but it's in aisle 8!" What a strange & unnecessary interaction. If you are reading this, I hope you have a shit day Derek! I also hope your manager is a woman.

BEWARE- Don't order anything for delivery. They gave us a 6am - 8pm delivery window. Waited all day, but they never showed up. At 7:15pm, our order status was mysteriously marked "delivered", but it definitely had not been. We first called the 800 number, because we had placed the order online. They just told us to call the store. After being on hold for another 30m, they told us delivery was handled by someone else and to call them. Tried to call the weird number they had me write down, located in Georgia, but nobody would pick up. Called the store again but the phone just rang and rang and rang. So, I called the 800 number again starting to freak out (but nicely) because I seriously felt robbed, who re-routed me to the store for another time. All in all I was on the phone trying to get to someone for a couple hours. Guess what? The lady I finally spoke with SAID MY ORDER WAS RIGHT THERE IN THE STORE THE WHOLE TIME AND HAD NEVER LEFT. Marked as delivered! I understand that the delivery is handled by another party, but not the whole process. A massive bureaucracy with no ownership. I wasted a huge amount of time on this. Ended up just asking for a refund, because I will never use this service again.

If I could give this Home Depot zero stars I would. We went by today because someone in our neighborhood mentioned they were giving away free bagged mulch and potting soil (in the area behind the nursery). She even mentioned that there were People in Orange aprons helping to load bags up. We went with my mother in law and another neighbor to see if we could get lucky as well. We didn't see anything going on behind the nursery so my mother in law went ahead of us and asked about it to an older and taller Caucasian gentleman in the nursery. I get there just in time to hear him laughing at and saying that Home Depot doesn't give away free stuff. As she is walking away, he is basically talking crap about my mother in law (as she is walking away) to the other woman that was working at the counter across from him saying where would she the idea we were giving stuff away and she shouldn't believe everything she reads On the Internet. I happen to be walking in and hear this and said that we were just checking and there was not need to be rude. He replied with show me where and when I brought it up on the phone he said we don't give stuff away for free. I'm not sure if he was so dismissive because my mother i law is in her 70s and doesn't speak great English but the guy at the front of the nursery wearing a grey hoodie and hood on his head was a completely rude and condescending to all of us. if a manger from the store sees this and wants to chat more about this, Feel free to message me.

This Home Depot is incredibly busy. The parking lot is always full and the staff are stretched thin between multiple departments and customers. Most of the reviews on here about how bad the staff is did not show when I went in just for just a couple things. Plumbing is where I always go to see a handful of jolly people, all the staff in plumbing know the go around for sure. Ask for any one of them for plumbing assistance and you won't be disappointed! And if you happen to get Carter and Ken together, you sure are in for some comedic relief. Those two together should be in a comedy club, not in a Home Depot. This store is small and with the amount of stuff they sell, everything is usually in stock. I understand most of it is on a boat at the moment. But they have good supply of what I needed. Don't miss your chance to visit this location! I'll be coming back every time!

The most annoying thing just happened.. I go into Home Depot to get screws and this older male employee follows me and asks if I need help. I said nicely, "No, that's okay; I will know when I see it, but thanks." There were two other men looking at screws longer than I was. He continued to watch me and it stressed me out as he's staring at me. Then he is all: "looks like u need help (chuckle) what can I help you find?" So I told him what I am looking for and he grabs the wrong screws but I just took them so that he would leave me alone, and I continued to look for what I thought was right. And right when I took them from him, he started walking away while laughing and said under his breath: "See- I knew you needed help " and he kept laughing all condescending as he walked away to brag to the other male employee. I started second guessing myself so I bought what he told me to, plus what I thought I needed - and I WAS RIGHT. Ugh sexism is soooo real. And it comes down on female's self confidence since we grew up in a patriarchal world. I literally owned my own construction company and have worked in construction for over 5 years, yet I let this Home Depot employee make me feel 'less than,' simply because I am female. I am so annoyed that I let him bully me like that. I wish I said something, but I had already lost confidence in myself.

The absolute worst Home Depot (Vista and Oceanside locations are great by comparison). It's almost as if the staff actively don't want you to buy anything.

Dawn and Wendy who work there are two of the rudest individuals I've had the misfortune of encountering when needing help to resolve an issue. Jacob is very helpful but their rudeness left a horrible impression, and I will not buy from this HD again.

Having a good trip to Home Depot depends on two things: 1. Having what you're looking for in stock, 2. Finding someone that works there who really knows their stuff AND takes their time to help you. The best customer service I've ever had was with a guy named RJ who works at the returns desk. He's kind, patient and really listens. You can tell he's good because he's always busy and in demand with both customers and the workers. Thanks RJ for making the Encinitas Home Depot a place I look forward to going to.

This review is to reflect my experience with the paint department in particular though I have had similar experiences with multiple different departments here. I have been trying to reach someone in the paint department for the past few *days*. A machine picks up, transfers me to a phone representative who then transfers me to a number that hangs up after a few rings. When I call back and follow the prompts to reach the same rep they tell me to leave my number and someone would call me back. And they never return the call. I assume Home Depot has some sort of business model where they understaff their store and claim that the savings from overworking their business undersized staff comes to you. This is a nonsense business strategy ane doesn't make sense because their prices aren't significantly different than their competitors. I would only go here as a last resort and even then I would expect to leave with a headache. Not sure how they're still in business.

Horrible front desk customer service. They really make it difficult, you try to be nice in COVID times, but these clowns deserve to get their butt chewed out. Complete incompetence & ignorance on their part. They could care less, but want everything. This place is dump of crappy workers who want $25 hr but don't give you the effort of a $5 hour employee. Whoever is in charge of hiring is letting any clown who applies, in! RUN FROM THESE FOOLS

Buyer beware. Paid $800 for new dishwasher. Installed on 9/28. Stopped working on 10/11. Now have to wait weeks to months for repair. Will NEVER buy another appliance from Home Depot. Horrible customer service!!!!
