I cannot recommend OTF Encinitas enough, it’s what I look forward to everyday and crave it when I can’t make it. The coaches are incredibly motivating and helpful! It’s more then just a gym it’s a community, I feel people are rooting for each other with out judgement. OTF is the reason my mind and body crave to workout.

Orange Theory is a great way to get a kickass workout, especially if you struggle to self-motivate. I always burn 100-200 more calories during an hour long orange theory class than during an hour long elliptical session at home. The classic orange theory workout calls for half the class on the tread, and half the class on the rower/floor, but the particulars vary to keep things fresh. Coach Jason can smell incorrect form so watch out! (but, seriously, he and the other coaches are amazing). Thanks OT Encinitas!

As an Orangetheory member, you're able to go to any gym...just sign up. I worked out at this location from time to time. I'm just not too crazy about the gym layout...have the floor exercises/weights at the far right close to the rowers which seems pretty tight to me especially when we switch.It's not my home gym so I can tolerate it especially if I'm in the area to go shopping. On a positive note, it's always clean, staff always super friendly, and playlist music always pumpin'.

I love OTF! I've been going for years and often go to different locations. I can't see myself going to any other gym. I love being able to have a set workout for myself and someone guiding me along the way. I love a coach who plays EDM remix style music! However, specifically with Encinitas, I wish they'd be more mindful with the AC and blast some more air for us. During the normal class AND the lift45s, I'm always suffocating because they don't turn it on.

I posted my original review in 2015. It's 2023 and I'm still going. I've been going there almost as long as Lauren. Love all of the instructors, especially those that I've been seeing for years: Lauren, Anthony, and Julia!

I was a previous OTF lover in North Carolina, but moved home, had a few babies, and just got older. My friend encouraged me to get back in, and I have become a regular since a few months ago!The team in the lobby is always friendly and helpful. The Coaches all bring something different.. I love that. Some are more technical, some more encouraging, some have better playlists than others (HA), but I have not once regretted going to class. I only regret when I miss! The AM groups are on FIRE, it is SO fun and so encouraging to see how fit the members have gotten from attending. I'm stoked to be a part of the group
