Seems like they do great work, but if you are walking be careful around this place. I was recycling some cardboard in the bins before this establishment (at 9:15am). Carried a big stack of cardboard to the bin, and the lady driving from Solana Center told me to watch out because they had a 9:00am meeting and I might get run over. That's a bummer that they want to drive that fast from their important meeting that they can temporarily yield to a pedestrian that's trying to recycle.

Got a new worm composting bin, locals can get subsidized ones for $40. I think you can bring different light bulbs for disposal here also.

Great resource to get started on composting. I got worms and compost here. We got in-depth lesson on the best way to compost for our space and needs. This is the perfect pandemic activity. Bring the kids, teach them how to compost, bring your electronic to recycle while you're here.

Solana Center rocks with their environmental programs for all. Vermacomposting, e waste recycling, water shed education,, rain barrels,, bockashi bucket exchange, and many educational programs for city of Encinitas and whole San Diego County. Great place to volunteer.

Went there to drop off e-waste. Staff was awesome and I was more than happy to fork over a $5 donation. Lines can get long but they're efficient. Kudos to the Lion's Club for helping out.

Oh my goodness! What an excellent opportunity to compost and send less waste to the landfills. We spent time with Tori and she was fabulous in terms of introducing us to their composting program and educating us on the broader topic. The composting program is quite simple and easy to use. Since the Solana Center is a non-profit (filling in for a significant void left by the Municipalities and State of California) and looking to reach a critical mass of participants, they need to charge a fee for the bucket and the monthly composting service. But it is not expensive and super environmentally helpful. You also have access to the compost that is created out of the endeavor. I highly recommend this on so many levels!!!!
