Worst experience ive ever had at a postal office. Went in today trying to ship a package and the lady was the rudest most unhelpful person ive ever met. She refused to print a pre paid USPS label. I would not recommend going here ever.

This woman since I don’t consider her lady “TAMIKO” I am sure isn’t her real name should get fire I got there at 4:40pm , the location close at 5 pm and she tells me in a bad mood that I should came here earlier with my question. Just because it’s Friday she wants to go home. To the manager at this location you shouldn’t have people here working if they don’t want to work customer service just because the benefits working on this place.

I visit this office 5 or 6 times each week to drop off outgoing shipments. Ray is always cheerful and positive to meet all customers he sees. Great guy!

We went in on a Saturday to get our passport done, we had an appointment and Christine was super helpful and knowledgeable. Also, the USPS website says they don't do passport photos on the weekend, but they do.

Had to send out an urgent package and everything went smooth. The inside was clean, organized, and the people working there were nice and helpful. Quick service too. Solid experience all around.

I love this post office; the people are so nice and informative. One thing though- you can't get assistance with the smart locker past the early afternoon. Drove all the way from North Park to get a package. Didn't get sent the QR code. The postal clerk couldn't do anything because the only guy that has access to the smart locker was not there. So basically you can't rely on regular business hours to pick up smart locker packages if there's a hiccup. And they send the package back in 5 days. So now I need to do an hour round trip drive again within 5 days. Not everyone has the gas for that. If your package has arrived you should be able to pick it up during business hours. That's not unreasonable.

This recent holiday season, I found myself needing to go to USPS multiple times for different reasons, and I can’t help but notice how awesome the staff were. The lines were long but they kept things moving as efficiently and as quickly as possible, their patience is unparalleled, their instructions for options were clear for mailing packages, and they have a great attitude in spite of all the stressed customers! I’m officially in awe, I’m grateful, and I just have to share it! Thank you Encinitas USPS team!

Be aware that if you are going here for passports, they are only open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., on Tuesdays Wednesdays and fridays, and only serve four people. Even if you are there at 9.

I always dread going to this post office. Today I had to ship something that had "hazardous materials" (a Magic Bullet with a lithium ion battery for some reason) and I wasn't sure what to do and when I tried to explain it to the clerk she said "you don't have to tell me your whole life story" then gave me an answer that was unclear. I went through the line three times before they could adequately explain to me what I needed to do. I know that USPS isn't famous for their customer service but this place would certainly be more efficient if their staff wasn't trying to get rid of you the minute you step to the cash register
