Really unhelpful to be open at these hours. I work and they open 2 hours after I’m already at work close 10 minutes before i could make it to them after work. And then closed in the weekend…. This location should not be able to hold packages for missed deliveries if they only operate at these weird hours
Update: I didn’t receive the pink slip so I had to call and was told to go to this location specifically by the woman on the phone. I had to leave early from work and rush over to make it before they close. The man at the desk was chatting away and seemingly hitting on a young lady being helped front of me and my boyfriend which was awkward. Finally get to the counter and tell him we are picking up some packages and he says this location doesn’t hold packages. Understandably I make a shocked face and he stops and says there’s no shock…basically saying don’t be surprised when I was literally told to come to this location. He proceeds to turn to my boyfriend who is not the owner of these packages and talks only to him. I saw the reviews and knew this would be unpleasant and unfortunately was not proven wrong.

Such a weird encounter. We entered around 4:20 pm today and the guy at the counter was speaking to a female client/friend in such a kind way. We didn’t want to hurry him and just politely waited while the chatted seemingly oblivious to us. When she finally left at 4:27, the man started to attend us but said please close the door as I need to close. No problem. Then we explained we were doing an address change verification for my husband, something I had done just two weeks prior at a different office with a young female clerk in about 2 minutes - scan bar code, verify ID, easy peasy. First, this guy wasn’t satisfied with the many forms of ID we offered- license was OK but needed non photo ID that couldn’t be a credit or health card. So I said I can grab the car registration from the glove box. Nope…he was not allowing that as it was now 4:28, maybe 4:29 so just wasn’t possible because then how would he close at 4:30 pm on the dot? Poor man…god forbid you wor 10 seconds extra. I don’t know if he was racist (my husband is Latino) or just so paralyzed by the fear of 10 seconds extra work but he literally sent us away even though I explained this was a rare occurrence that my husband was available during post office hours so PLEASE could he help us. Nope. He could not.

Horrible customer service! Doesn’t want to do their job bc at end of day. Super condescending and disrespectful. Should be closed down. Acts like I’m not paying. Do not come here if you want even minimal customer service. Literally in shock by how this guy is treating me. Bc I’ve been here for 15 minutes before closing time and now waiting in line and now it’s 1 minute after closing. Will NEVER come back here!

I've had a PO box here for 2y now. Initially the one worker there was a woman close to retirement who I guess never filed any of my PO box paperwork from when I originally got it (this became an issue later with a name change and documentation) or gave me the door code for after hours. But she left a while ago and there's a new guy who's on top of things and great.
Prices of po boxes change but when I got one here this was the cheapest option in the area because it's small and not a 24h or typical big post office - however for PO box renters you get a door code for after hours so don't worry about it not being open as late if you're just picking up mail.
Otherwise no complaints, and unlike where I last had a PO box(rsf and pasadena) I've never had an issue with package theft here or misdeliveries. The 2 times there was a package issue had to do with a site not letting me add the PO box 4digit zip ending so they didn't know whose box it belonged to - but found my name and just called me.

Cute post office in Leucadia. There is a pull up drop off feature on the side of the building however beware as I bumped into the yellow post and damaged my car with paint and dent. Unclear if this feature is meant to be a drive up but there's no sign that warns about the post. Just fyi.

Cute post office, with some decent parking, conveniently located on the 101. Great location, cute little post office, but the Asian lady who works here has a real bad attitude. Very unhappy and has a lot of negative energy. If she can figure out a way that the customer can do her job, then she will. I had her weight and apply postage on several large envelopes. After the 1st envelope the postal lady was frustrated and instead demanded me to buy stamps and place the stamps on myself. It's sad that this post office relies on one employee. Maybe a change in employee would make this location much better.

This is a one-person operation and Lynn has worked here for years. She is one of the hardest workers I've ever seen in the USPS, and she has to contend with a lot of rude, demanding ignoramuses on a daily basis (see some of the other reviews to get an idea). I am an online seller and packages mailed from this office get scanned into the system within minutes. This is not true of the Encinitas main office where scans frequently do not happen at all (making sellers/shippers look lazy and dishonest). I have had a PO Box in this office since 2019 and I have never had anything but excellent service here, with the box and at the counter. Treat people with respect and they will respond in kind.
