I recently had a frustrating experience at Vons, primarily due to poor management and starbucks worker Overall, Vons' management needs to address these issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction. Improved training, better communication, and a focus on streamlining operations would go a long way in turning this shopping experience around and making the moment right for the customers.

I love this Vons because of how responsive the management is, specifically, Greg. I shop here frequently and have had an unfortunate number of incidences where employees working in the deli wouldn't wear gloves when packing up food for me, despite management telling them to do so in the past. (Disgusting and unsanitary) So after bringing it to Greg's attention, he made sure the problem was fixed right away and I was given fresh food in a sanitary manner, right away. Besides the aforementioned issue, the store is always kept nice and clean, the employees are always very friendly, and every employee I've ever interacted with has always been extremely friendly. The store management is why I've given this place four stars instead of three.

The people that work there are nice. And I like to associate with them everyday. But management...wow. I go into this store everyday. As a professional I see huge problems with management. In which one supervisor was calling a checker for help with self check out and they only had one line open in the mane lane which was backed up five people deep. And the phone was wringing and she was really trying to help her customers out to get through the really long wait times. And he was calling her to ask for help on the self checkout?? I've been going here for years and I see the distraught with their employees. I'm sorry you guys. I love the ones I really know. But I may have to switch grocery outlets. And it is very apparent that vons employees are not happy. So look in the mirror..

It's the closest Grocery store to my house. The people are really nice, It's a pretty good store except for they have certain items that they consistently run out of and they refuse to order more I don't know why they do this but as long as I've been going there it's always been like that There must be some sort of logistical issue that keeps them from stalking that item properly

Excellent curbside grocery pickup service. Today's small order was ready for pickup within 17 minutes of order being placed online. This included deli cold cuts.

Tonight while at Vons on the checkout line, two men were ahead of me purchasing alcohol. Neither one of the gentlemen were carded. I only took note of this as I was purchasing a case of beer and left my ID in the car and was deciding if I should run back to get it. I recently suffered an injury to my knee, that is apparent as I walk around with a large knee brace and with slow a limp. After seeing neither men get carded, I figured I wouldn't need mine as I am a 36 year old man, above the store policy's age of being asked for ID. As I get to the front of the checkout line, I am immediately asked for ID. I tell the cashier that I am 36 years old and she responds by saying once she ask for ID, she has to see it. I pointed out the fact that neither of the men ahead of me were asked for ID, but she proceeds to tell me I'll need to show it. I don't like to immediately go to racism as issues occur, but I couldn't help but feel targeted as the two men who purchased alcohol ahead of me were white and I am black. I was so upset and I could have easily went to another store but I decided to grab my ID from the car and make the purchase there. After purchasing the beer I asked to speak with one of the managers, Lisa. After telling Lisa what happened, indicating the two men ahead of me weren't asked for ID and that I would have appreciated consistency, Lisa offered no apology and tried to justify it with the policy. She never addressed the inconsistencies, but instead tried to insinuate that it was a compliment that I was asked for ID because I look young, which was a complete load of BULL! I'm never carded at any other place. If you are a person of color, or an ally, I recommend you not shop at this Vons unless you want to risk being mistreated.

Another Vons that is pricey but the inside of the store is very clean and the staff is friendly. I like how big this store is and all the variety it has to offer. This is a fan favorite store.

I just went to Vons and purchased cupcakes for my sons birthday. When I got home I happened to glance at the label and noticed they were packed on 7/23/22, sell by 8/23/22, and todays date is 9/2/22. NOT okay that they would have such expired product on their shelves (and lesson learned to check the label before purchasing in the future...but didn't think I needed to for bakery cupcakes that would be eaten today). To make matters more frustrating, they will not help me over the phone with a refund and insist I come back into the store to handle it. HUGE inconvenience on an already busy day (as it's my son's birthday). Very frustrating and aside from the return, I won't be returning to this location.

Great quality and customer service yet The reason for three stars is if you open at 6 AM by at least 630 there should be fresh baked goods yes Monday morning 7 o'clock stores been open for an hour and there's no baked bread for individual consumption.

Staying in the area on business and needed to get a few items for the hotel. Shop at Vons at home and the store was typical. Clean, well lit with good produce. My checker was Greg who opened a new register and appeared to be management. Not sure if he wanted to be there on Thursday night. Had an attitude of he was doing me a favor and wasn't a warm and fuzzy guy. No eye contact or a smile. Not even a thank you when I left.I know people have bad days but if this guy was indeed management not a good look.

I went here to go get my vaccine, so my mom and I thought hey! Why not shop too. The people at the pharmacy were so kind and sweet, but as soon as we went to checkout this man was one of the rudest people we have ever met. Yelling at an employee where she's going, the bagger looking like he's being held hostage by him, and his nasty looks at me and my mom. I was putting things on the belt and he mutters, "You don't have to throw it." I never meant anything malicious through ""throwing"" groceries, which I wasn't. They were extremely rude to my kind mother and didn't say one word to us the entire time. They gave us nasty glares we didn't deserve and penalized my mom for asking about a coupon. Will not be going here again any time soon. Stop taking your anger out on random people that didn't do anything.

I must be out to find some sort of different in my week. You know what I mean? When every day seems the same and each week blends into the next? Where you get asked a question about something mundane you did and you can't remember if it was yesterday or 2 weeks ago? Like that? It's a prison or a waste of life really. We all need some spices in our life stew and while those spices are different for each of us, we all deserve a little flavor right? So OBVIOUSLY this all means going to Vons to eat their Friday discount sushi. To me, it feels dangerous to eat sushi from a Vons. But sushi on special at a Vons? Danger zone. Feeling bad a** I rolled up and took a look at the Friday $5 special rolls. The selection wasn't picked over-a good start! I weighed the options in my mind... Who am I ? What am I about? How do I give the best of me? Which roll should I pick? Shrimp! I jogged to the car with my catch. I did have to reach for my car soy sauce (My job makes me spend a lot of time in the car so I am prepared) because they did not have extra soy sauce readily available. It tasted good. Not great. The rice wasn't as good as I hoped it would be, based off of my experiences with other weird sushi situations. It was perfectly edible and actually had a little small bit of heat. I love heat in my life! I ate the whole thing. I had a little slice of adventure in my little slice of life. Right there in the Vons parking lot. So bottom line the $5 sushi is totally fine. The fun of doing something you never do? 5*
