Dr. Elkins has been my ophthalmologist for a decade now. I put off cataract surgery for 2 years because of the pandemic, but I needn't have. Dr. Elkins, his surgical coordinator and staff wear masks, are vaccinated, and take precautions against COVID. Recently, Dr. Elkins did cataract surgery (toric lenses) on both eyes. He and his technician painstakingly took precise measurements of the topography of each eye to determine the correct power, fit and position of each intra-ocular lens. Medicare doesn't cover toric IOLs, but I am so glad I paid for them--it was money well-spent. I have 20/20 vision now and only use glasses for reading--which is to be expected.

Dr.Elkins performed my LASIK surgery and I can't say enough good things about the whole process. From start to finish, everyone who looked at my eyes was professional, calming and reassuring. Dr.Elkins was so calm and informative and my vision is amazing now! It's so exciting!

I had the best experience going to Dr. Elkins and OAV. He performed LASIK on me in January 2022. He and his staff were so thorough, careful, kind, and supportive. During the procedure, he talked me through everything in real time as it was happening, which gave me such peace of mind. I highly recommend him as an excellent ophthalmologist and expert in LASIK surgery.

I went to Dr. Elkins for a laser eye consult last week. What impressed me about him was his honesty. I was literally so excited about getting my eyes done, but he was telling me about some of my eye issues (they do tests in the office before meeting with the doctor) and that while he could do it, he thinks I'd be better off without it. This is why I'm giving him 5 stars. For a doctor to be honest and have integrity, and not try to sell me on the service, is a huge thing in my book.

Dr. Brad Elkins is the man! My vision was minus 7...I couldn't function whatsoever without my glasses or contact lenses. He did PRK on both eyes and 3 years later, I still wake up each day grateful for my vision! Such a talented and kind man, highly recommended. Thanks, doc!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Dr. Elkins for my Lasik procedure. The procedure itself was quick and painless, and I felt completely comfortable in Dr. Elkins highly capable hands. His staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I've directed all of my friends that are interested in Lasik to Dr. Elkins, and will continue to do so considering the excellent experience I had.

Dr. Elkins restored my sight and I could not be more pleased. I was legally blind in my left eye when I came to see Dr. Elkins. I was treated with all the professionalism, skill, understanding, and courtesy I could have ever hoped for from a medical professional. Everything was carefully explained and the equipment used was the most current technology available. The staff at the surgery center was well organized and courteous. Dr. Elkins performed the surgery and in one day, I went from blind to 20/20 vision! I was amazed. Dr. Elkins has a wonderful professional manner that makes you feel understood and reassured. He is personable, he listens, he tells the truth, and he is a brilliant surgeon. Dr. Elkins changed my life. If you want the best, call his office - you will never regret it.

I had lasik eye surgery on both eyes the first week of October. From the surgery coordinator Anna, to the entire staff at Dr Elkins office and of course to the doctor himself, my experience was awesome! They over communicated, made the process simple and I can now see PERFECTLY. My vision was -5.0 so you can imagine how life changing doing this surgery was. Thank you Dr Elkins!!!

I believe Dr Elkins should be known as Saint Elkins. I was very near sighted with bad astigmatism. I went to Dr Elkins for evaluation of possible LASIK as I was tired of wearing contacts that constantly shifted in my eyes (due to my astigmatism), and I couldn't tolerate wearing my very thick glasses for any extended period of time. I went to UCLA and was offered a complicated treatment option that was going to be about $12k. I declined and gave up my search. I was then told about Dr Elkins. After my initial evaluation (where he incidentally found a problem with my retina that was quickly corrected by one of his excellent colleagues- but that's another story for another day), he stated that my case was complicated, but if I was set on LASIK he felt comfortable to proceed (though he did say there was a chance I would need another procedure for further correction). I agreed. One of the best decisions of my life. Prior to LASIK my best corrected vision was 20/60 in one eye and 20/40 in my other eye. After LASIK, my vision is now 20/20. No more dry eyes from contact lens use. No more thick glasses. And that is why Dr Elkins has been elevated to Sainthood (the miracle performing part, if my long winded post wasn't clear enough).

I was recommended Dr. Elkins through a friend of my who had his PRK surgery done with Dr. Elkins. I decided to also get a PRK procedure. I was pretty nervous, but Ana Robles and Dr. Elkins walked me through the whole process and made me feel very comfortable. The recovery took a little longer than I expected but Ana and Dr. Elkins were very patient with me and answered all my questions. Its been roughly 10 months now since the surgery and my vision is crystal clear and very sharp! I find myself taking a moments every other day and just appreciating how incredible to be able to just see so far :) PRK is a long journey and recovery but Dr. Elkins and Ana will get you through it. If you have glasses or contacts, go get this surgery. I cant tell you how nice it is just to wake up with perfect vision and never worry about contact lenses or glasses ever again. Thank you so much to everyone at Dr. Elkins' office, looking forward to sending my brother your way soon!

I have been going to Dr. Elkins since I can remember and have always had a great experience. I decided to pull the trigger on lasik and had nothing but amazing care. From the preparation stage, to surgery, and post operation, Doctor Elkins and his staff was not only extremely patience but very carrying and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone I know. Having sight without contacts or glasses has been beyond amazing.
