This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with in my life. They had a 11 month special. I made an appointment took money out of another account and took it over to this bank. I was greeted by the wrong name they didn't have hardly anyone at the bank. I told them not to call me but send me an email. I told them this was a Trust Account Revokable. I said when I got home I would e-mail the trust. She was focused on a removed that was on the amended trust. She had such a fit over this trust. I guess they do not know how to read trust they wanted more information even though it was notorized. I told her I had a lot of things to do and best to reach me via e-mail. But she called my answering machine is full finally I responsed to another e-mail she sent me giving me 09-22-2023 to get my money out of the bank. They have had this money for 10 days and I have had constant issues with them over my Trust. This is what I wrote to her.I do not want to deal with you and your bank. The most unprofessional bank I have ever dealt with in my life. You are the first and you will be the last. I will make sure Yelp knows of this issue and also the President of your bank etc. This is discrimination. Please immediately Put all my money in the checking account xxxx that you opened for me immediately. There should be interest paid to me for this awful experience and the bank using my money for the time it was at your bank. You have wasted my time. I will let the FDIC know about this as well. This is the most unprofessional bank shame on you.Sincerely

There’s no difference between this bank and a giant bank like Chase. There’s no customer service and they could care less about the customer.

My problem is not necessarily with the people at any branch and I've interacted with three branches in the 20 years I've had an account with CBT and there are a lot of good people I've worked with. The truth is they aren't really a "local" bank though because much of the gears of the machine are located in Salt Lake City. In the last five years these out of state folks have zealously locked my bank account and credit card at the slightest provocation--If I did anything out of my regular spending habits expect to have it blocked (i.e birthday gifts, a meal 4 hours away, etc.) I even tried calling ahead to let them know recently, and just because I called, they thought it was "suspicious" and blocked the account anyway! You just can't win. :( It wasn't always like this, but the last four years have been pretty bad and has made life inconvenient and stressful. So I'd try to dissuade anyone from banking with CBT, I for one am switching banks.

Marine has been the best customer service representative. After visiting several banks I have finally found the bank for me. She has been VERY helpful with all my banking needs. She has been patient explaining and going over what would be best for my needs. Very personalized banking. I would highly recommend Marine P as your banker.

I opened a checking account with Marine P and she was very helpful in the entire process. She understood what I needed, and helped me reach my goals. I am going to look forward to coming back and seeing Marine soon, because of her positive upbeat personality.

The worst bank ever. Customer service is zero, no one knows what's going on.

Waited over 40 minutes for them to verify a check that I wanted to cash. I was the only customer.

Terrible experience with this bank. The person in charge of new accounts wasted several weeks of my time making appointments and sending emails. When I showed up to the appointment, she had no clue we had an appointment and kept asking who I am and who I need to see. This person (Marine) should not even be allowed to serve fries at a fast food place, let alone work for a bank in a professional setting. After all the trouble, she insisted I had to bring the secretary of my s Corp ; otherwise, she couldn’t open the account. She kept saying I’m so busy but if you need to open the account, I guess I’ll open it today.Terrible bank. Don’t waste your time. Take your business somewhere else. The customer feels like an annoyance to the bank versus taken seriously or appreciated.

I have been with this bank for 20+ years, AV Bank was taken over by California Bank & Trust. They closed the Stevenson Ranch branch and I did not have anywhere to withdraw money from an atm. I then opened another checking account at a different bank, while in the process of changing my banking info. I accidentally paid a bill and over drew the account, the fees started piling up and also I was on vacation out of state and could not close the account and pay back what I owed them. I did ask them to reverse the fees over $100 and was told they could not do it. Very disappointed by this especially being such a long time customer.

There is not a CBT at this location. City National is here. I know because I drive there. Thanks yelp.

I am not sure if it's this specific branch or California Bank & Trust in general but I find it very inconvenient banking with them. I opened a savings account so I could apply for a SECURED loan. I signed all necessary documents to open the account, they check my credit, I gave them my source of income, then they approve my loan conditionally; only to be denied later because my signature is not on my ID. It is a legitimate argument, however for this situation it was not, I've never heard of such a thing! Wells Fargo and other Banks had no problem. They also closed my savings account after this and wanted me to reopen an account and reapply after paying my ID fee and waiting for it to be mailed. I'm going back to Wells Fraudo!
