Local bank that really doesn't support individuals. They are more focused on businesses but the stafg is nice but the overall programs they offer and accounts do not really fit someone wanting to open a small savings account

Great community bank the staff is super nice. Easy in and out access with on site parking. The accounts they have do no support people wanting to open small savings accounts, they are more business accounts and larger saving accounts.

I have had bad banking experiences before but my experience at Luther burbank in encino takes the cake! Went here to open up an account.i understand due to covid that there are changes which makes sense but it was clear that the people working here enjoy being unreasonable, being lazy, and putting clients last. This all may be due to bad management. People here seem to lack common sense as well as basic human decency. They have a rule that only 3 people at a time so we waiting in the parking lot.they don't have a single chair outside for anyone except for the 1 guard who was the only decent one there. We were lucky that it was in the morning so it wasn't that hot. We waited and waited and waited. We inquired days ago if we could make an appointment and we were told no that we had to walk in. Eventually we were told 1 of us could come in to start the process so we did. There was 1 Couple in the bank all the way to the end of the bank practically isolated. The only people there were the workers who all sit behind these gigantic desks or in their offices that omg had doors that they could shut if they had a client! Why they deliberately had us waiting outside is beyond me unless they just enjoy crappy customer service which seems to be the case.our banking here will be temporary as we intend to switch banks asap. Oh yeah checks arent free here! Terrible place.im giving it the "if I could leave no stars I would" rating which I rarely do. Never again. As soon as u can I'm taking our money and getting the f out!

We have been dealing with Amit Sandhu at Luther Burbank for several years now (we followed him from the Toluca Lake office). He is truly the reason that we continue to bank at Luther Burbank Savings as I have never met a more helpful and patient bank representative and I am always confident that I will get the best service and direction whenever I visit the Encino branch. Luther Burbank is very lucky to have such a courteous and well informed employee! We plan to continue our relationship with Luther Burbank Encino & Amit for many years to come.

When it was time to renew they renewed at 1/10 of the tiny rate I was receiving. It is ridiculous no one knows the policy or English. The hrs are to 5 pm but they do nothing after 430 and were quite disturbed that I would even ask for them to do their job. I wanted to add more but she was annoyed that I would even ask such a questions . Such a dirty word work. Do they ever hire English speaking. When I first started with them they were kind and I was easily able to communicate. Then things changed. Not for the better.

Parked a few accounts here nearly ten years back and never had any reason to use the money. They sent me three separate statements all the time rather than consolidating them, which was annoying. Neither did they have many locations. The bank just always seemed disconnected on some level. Then I increasingly noticed that if ever I contacted them, I always had to deal with someone who barely spoke English and seemed to have little education, let along be knowledgeable about banking. If I came in to close an account or any simple transaction, employees seemed to not know how to do anything. They had to go ask someone how to enter something in the computer. Didn't inspire me with confidence to say the least. Last dealing I had with them was over the phone in which I was offered a better interest rate. Apparently, they couldn't be bothered to offer these things to long time customers -- only if one called. A few weeks later, when I actually visited, they had no record of this rate change, nor knew what worker I'd spoken to, despite this being a tiny branch. Their reaction to my discontent was just argumentative and rude. Only amateurs resort to this approach. Apparently, they're not familiar with the idea of "the customer is always right". My conclusion is that long time customers aren't valued, and as I prefer not to constantly decipher poor English, my accounts are moving elsewhere. So much for small "personal" banks that want your business.

Never had a problem with the bank. Were they awesome? Well I only give 5 stars to Banks that have a bathroom for customers. My mother is 87. Enough said? They have a pretty good mortgage division and a great loan officer named Christian. They are hiring good people. All in all I recommend Luther Burbank!

I love Luther Burbank as a bank. They are awesome. I can go to any ATM. If you are pretty disciplined with your checking account, and keep the balance at or above $1k, then you can avoid paying any fees. They have better interest rates on their money market savings accounts then most other banks out there. Their tellers are very friendly at all branches I've visited - Burbank, Beverly Hills too. They also have offer competitive rates for home loans and fees were low, but it did take me *62* days to close. They are probably not the best option if you need to close FAST.
