Good place to look for buying fish and other small animals. I bought a guinea pig there 3 yrs ago and he is very happy with us :)

I had a great experience at Petco thanks to Kris, who went above and beyond during my visit. We spoke about one of the birds currently in store, Barry, and I was touched by Kris’s genuine care and empathy for the animals. She was kind, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about her work. It’s clear she takes pride in ensuring the animals are well cared for and that customers feel welcomed. I sincerely appreciated the thoughtful conversation and the positive energy she brought to the interaction. I hope Barry finds a loving home soon — and I’m grateful to Kris for making my visit so pleasant.

This Petco is the best by far, their customer service is so superior to any other pet store of any kind I encountered in my 5 years I've lived in Encino! They are so kind, the store is always stocked and super clean. Above all, Sabria is a STELLAR employee!! So personable, kind, knowledgeable and seems to really care about her job AND most of all, THE ANIMALS!! I've asked her about dogs, cats and fish and she knows it all!! Thank you, Sabria!! You deserve a promotion or recognition of some kind in-store! Brandon has also been very very helpful to me and my Jack Russell in the past!! Thank you, Petco store#5519!!

I changed the location i shop to Petco. Formerly, i only shopped at Red Barn n Feed. Unfortunately, they closed after many years in the SF Valley. The Encino location has a great selection of Fancy Feast wet catfood and Nulo products. In the store, you will find a vast selection of cat, dog, wild bird, fish, rodent, and accessories for all these critters. The staff are helpful and friendly, and make the customer feel welcome. I'm very satisfied with my shopping experience at the Petco Encino location.
Also, at this location, they have cat adoptions through a private rescue. It is on Saturdays from 1:00-4:00 p.m. By adopting these cats, you are giving former shelter and abandoned animals a new home with love and care. Come over and visit the adoption area and see all of the loving cats we have for adoption.
