I waited 20 minutes for an associate to help me in the fish section. Employees were hiding and did not appear to be working. Many of the fish were dead in the fish tanks and the tanks were dirty. This place is a joke! All they want to sell are non-live items like food, grooming, and this kind of service which is profitable. Customer service means nothing.

This location is well managed, (almost) always clean, orderly, and fully stocked. The staff overall is helpful and attentive. However, Aryana, in particular, is stellar. Going above and beyond, she handles things quickly, works efficiently, and is highly knowledgeable regarding the inventory and Petco rewards programs/store info, etc. It's fantastic employees like her that make this location stand out from the rest.

I went in for a companion fish for my Koi and met NES who is studying to be a marine biologist. I could have talked to her all day about the different fish and animals in the store. I used to think this store was less than others because we had bad experiences wit hamsters here, but NES's knowledge care and passion for the animals was so impressive. Petco needs many enthusiastic and helpful people like this who are a wealth of knowledge to help prevent pet tragedies. I highly recommend this store for the helpful staff and specifically the aquatic section.

I went to the Encino location yesterday to get my dog's food, and while I was heading to the back of the store this very nice, knowledgeable gentleman comes and introduces himself and offers me help. I proceeded to ask him various questions about my dog's food and diet and he gave me such amazing advice. BRIAN was such amazing help to me that he even offered to carry my items to the front of the store for me. This is the type of customer service that makes me want to come back time and time again. I'll for sure be coming back to this location just because of BRIAN.

Worst experience. I booked atv5vthey text because they wanted to leave sooner if I could bring my dog sooner I could I tried to call but it didn't went through at 2 55 I saw their text they charged my appointment to 3 pm I was there at 3 15 and she told a guy front of me she see if she can take his dog in without appointment and when she talked to me she she said I am late they can take my dog unbelievable, they could just cancel not to make a decision for me and lied to my face such a awful experience .they didn't give a damn about their customer

I recently had a great experience at Petco, and I wanted to share it with everyone. I visited the store to get a dog tag engraved, and while I encountered some issues with the engraving, the sales associate really went above and beyond to assist me. Their dedication to solving the problem and ensuring I got what I needed was truly commendable.Additionally, there was a price difference between the online store and the in-store prices. However, the store manager stepped in and graciously corrected the mistake, ensuring I received the product at the right price. This level of customer service and their commitment to making things right is highly appreciated.I can't thank the team at Petco enough for their exceptional service and willingness to go the extra mile to make customers happy. I will definitely be returning for all my pet-related needs in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Refusing to sell me 4 goldfish and a aquatic plant because I did not have time to talk about my tank size. Employees seem unhappy, unfriendly , prejudice . I was helped by Ciara who claims to be the manager but did not use basic customer service skills and seemed like she wanted everybody out!
