The Encino Post Office operates with a level of consistency and efficiency that’s increasingly rare. Under the management of Alfonso, the branch is well-organized and runs smoothly even during busy hours. Wait times are generally short, and the staff appear well-trained and focused on keeping things moving without unnecessary delays.
Alfonso maintains a visible presence and seems actively involved in daily operations, which likely contributes to the overall professionalism of the team. The counters are staffed appropriately, lines are managed efficiently, and any questions are handled clearly and without confusion.
It’s evident that this location benefits from strong leadership and attention to process. Compared to other branches I’ve visited, the Encino location stands out for being clean, orderly, and consistent. It’s a reliable place to take care of postal needs without hassle.

Encino – Staff Member: Christine
I rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience today was unacceptable and needs to be documented. After waiting two minutes in line, the customer ahead of me walked off. I stepped up with my packages, ready to begin my transaction. The screen still showed the previous activity, so I waited for it to reset.
When I politely greeted the clerk, Christine, with “Good afternoon,” she mumbled something under her breath. I had difficulty hearing her and assumed she hadn’t understood what I said, so I repeated myself three times. Only then did I realize she was saying, “I didn’t call you,” in a dismissive tone—clearly implying I should step back, despite it being my turn.
To avoid further conflict, I stepped back—only for her to start helping someone else instead. I explained that I hadn’t walked off and had simply been waiting nearby. The interaction made the other customer uncomfortable, and Christine eventually agreed to help me, but without any apology for her disrespectful behavior.
This kind of attitude is unacceptable from someone in a public-facing role. Basic respect and professionalism go a long way, and unfortunately, that was completely lacking here. I hope USPS management sees this and addresses it appropriately.

The quality of service was the best of all the USPS I've been to. Friendly and kind. Not only do they respond with a smile, but they also do their work quickly and accurately. I would definitely like to use it again when I visit here again.

It's a fine post office, closest to where I live. However they removed the 2 outside mailboxes, and locked the doors on Sundays so you can't access the inside drop-off. Would be nice to have an option to at least drop off mail on a Sunday. Maybe this review will save others a fruitless trip.

USPS Encino office one of the best post office I like to go because the staff are very customer service oriented. Luis is one of the employees who will always give you a smile to help you-very gratifying specially at a time when we do not trust dropping mail in the mailbox near our medical office. I wish they clone him. Also there is another lady employee (maybe Asian descent) who always helps me and is a very customer service oriented employee-i wish i remember her name. Sorry lady but you are a very good employee who gives the best service

Great office in a good location. Never too busy so please explain why the drop off mail bin is always OVERFLOWING. We don't want to leave out packages 10 feet high or on the floor. I hear people working in the back room. Walk your as$&@ out front and bring the mail back. Thank you

Do not come here. They don't offer any assistance with helping to ship. And the staff there are completely incompetent, and got smart with me when I needed help to print out a shipping label. Whoever the old bald guy is, you're terrible at customer service.

The woman with tats on her face is completely useless. Never in my life have I dealt with someone so useless and unhelpful. Literally could have just waited for me but left for some reason while helping me and then told me the other worker could help me. Was forced to come back because she left her co worker while there was 8 other people in line. Post office must be desperate to be hiring trash.

Never big lines and they move quickly. They’re open longer than most post offices
