Now this isn’t a one time thing this have happened to me. I just have to leave a review so they can have better management and customer services with the employees.Some of the workers are really nice who have great customer service. Most of the time everytime I would walk in they never greet me or smile. I'm only looking forward to see 3 people that helped me and have the greatest customer service ever.But everytime the manager I believe her name starts with an M I think it is Marleen is on duty. she looks disappointed and angry she doesn't hide it. Even whenever I would do returns. she just didn't have customer service. Everytime I would see her she makes me want to hide. I always feel embarrassed or scared. I'm always stared at.This location is starting to make me uncomfortable.

I absolutely love American Eagle !! This is my all time favorite place to get jeans because they literally have a size for everyone !! I'm 5'0 160lbs and wear a 12 short . Getting a size 12 anywhere else the pants are as tall as I am ? it's ridiculous.

Loren and Megan were making a big deal to exchange some pants because I didn’t have a receipt. When they can actually print out a receipt them selves.And could've deal with the situation better.They don’t know about customer service

Rude employees. You’d think they’d be happy to finally have a customer come in since the mall is always so dead. Not my fault you work at American Eagle instead of a grown up job. Maybe be nicer to people since they keep you employed.

If I could give zero stars I would!!! This one star is only for Ana I believe her name was . Helping at the fitting rooms . She was such a sweetheart and very helpful shopping !!! The manager and other staff working today were AWFUL!! The manager was very unprofessional , rude and major attitude problem !! She was very spiteful & used the excuse of having a busy day to justify her behavior !! Besides being rude to me , she chose to embarrass my 13 year old daughter in front of the whole store for slightly leaning on one of the tables at the store. We had been waiting for someone to help us for at least 5 minutes (NO ONE was in line besides us ) and there was a staff member just chatting it up with a couple. Felt like they were ignoring us. Also , this was the last store we stopped at after shopping for about two hours . my daughter was tired ! Not that it’s ok to lean on things (we already talked to her about that) but the managers approach was spiteful !! She did it to embarrass her!! Like leave the children out of whatever your problem is . NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS whatsoever . I asked her if it was a racial issue and she insisted that it wasn’t because she was also Hispanic. So what is the reason ?? Did we not look fancy enough for her? I hope to hear back from corporate . This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at this mall !!!

I see a lot of negative reviews so I thought I share my experiences here.Employees are SO nice and helpful! I've been getting jeans here consistently for over a year and they always help me find the perfect pair that suits my body type and personal style.10/10 employees, awesome attitudes and super nice! Great selection and overall I love this store and the employees and will continue going here!Chrissy is especially nice, cool to talk to, and really helpful.

They are supposed to close at 7pm, but they didn't want to let me in at 6:50pm. I had to tell them that I wouldn't buy anything in order to enter.

I primarily shop online and have been to the La Jolla location as well as the Temecula location. It was my first time going to this location and it was pretty disappointing as someone who worked in retail for five years. I felt like I was watched shopping the whole time. I wasn't really asked if I needed help with anything except by the woman watching me. The other customers were more friendly than the associates lol. Overall, it left a bad taste in my mouth. And the cherry on top? After a $300 purchase, I drive all the way home only to find a security tag on my item lol. I will probably go to other locations in the future for purchases. I believe another review mentioned Carlsbad.Why two stars instead of one? The only redeeming associate/team member was the fitting room attendant, Marla iirc. Her customer service was exemplary, she was so helpful towards everyone who was using the fitting room and had advice or answers for everyone who asked for it.

I've shopped here for years since I was in high school (23 now) & have always had negative interactions with the manager here. Today was the last straw for me & is why I'm leaving this review. I left the store upset & in tears because of her nastiness. My boyfriend was shocked after we left at how someone could be so rude to customers. Looking at all of these other reviews I have no idea how she hasn't been fired yet. I've worked retail since I was 16 & have always been heavily trained in customer service so I'm not sure how this manager has lasted at this store with all of these negative reviews. Really unpleasant & upsetting experience.

hello all, i had a horrible experience at this AE i normally don't shop at this location but now I'm glad i don't especially if they have managers like the one that helped me running the store. what happened to customer service? this gal was frustrated because another customer had asked a question about her purchased, I'm waiting in line as all this plays out, she the (manager) doesn't care to listen to the customer keeps cutting her off saying my staff knows what they are doing. doesn't even acknowledge that I'm in line waiting, its been like 3 minutes, I'm not in a rush but your a manager, in a way your job is to be everywhere have all eyes on the store. she tells me finally" someone will be with you soon". then she calls someone, they don't come ever, the customer she was helping leaves because nothing was resolved. she rings me up and says "i can help you here", not even a I'm sorry, how are you?. she rings me up all upset I say can i give you a my phone number for rewards and she says " I THOUGHT YOU WERE IN A HURRY?' i was very upset, I waited, I was patient. I don't understand how this gal can be a manager. she isn't friendly to guest, she treated her staff poorly. also not like I spent $10.00 I'm sure corporate wont read this or they will care because maybe since she is the manager they allow behavior like this.

I love American eagle as a company, their pants are what keeps me coming back. However, this location has poor customer service. Last time I went was years ago because they gave me a hard time with a purchase. I wanted to give them another try but the employees still treat you like you're stealing and are not friendly at all. I'll continue to go to the carlsbad location instead.

They NEVER have boot cut jeans. Always skinny jeans. What is the point of having skinny jeans? This location needs to go out of busniess!!!
