Has changed so much that it should be an executive course! There are many short par 4's and 3 pars. It's the definition of a dive for a golf course.

This is my favorite course I've played in California I think and that's 25 years of playing. Get out in the morning before the crowds and you will be treated to awesome sunrises, coyotes and pure greens. Seriously, these greens are better than a few "pga" courses I have played. The views, course, people and staff make Boulder oaks a absolute treat. Love this place and I'm serious, wake up and play a morning round!

Before you follow the reviews, see when they are dated. This is not the course that existed in 2016. It *was* a nice course. Today - quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had on a golf course. Every year, some buddies and I from Seattle go down to San Diego to get some vitamin D and lose some golf balls. This course was on the way to the airport, so we gave it a shot. Four hours of my life that I'll never get back--and we didn't make the 12th hole. We quit after waiting ten minutes - On. Every. Tee. The pace would have us finish in 7 hours, long after we'd miss our flight home. The architecture of the course looks good - when it was built in 1965 or so? Unfortunately, whoever owns the course today is using it to milk money without making *any* investment in the course itself. They must space tee times every five minutes - a four-group backup on the first tee? Really? The course conditions looked like the Gaza Strip after the IDF got done with it. I have never, ever seen a course in this poor shape, anywhere (and that includes the Admiral Lehigh in Florida that cost me $22, with rental clubs and cart!) The driving range in Tin Cup was in better condition. The one and only saving grace was poor Madison who was manning the bar/pro shop/restaurant/pretty much everything. At least the beer was cold. I would rather drink ground glass in my margarita before I'd play this course again. Please - save your money, go *anywhere* else.

Amazing food at the clubhouse and good condition fairways that are the perfect difficulty

Greens, fairways and tee boxes all in great shape. Cart paths are a little rutted out, but hey; it's their carts. Would like to see more signs, slightly confusing in places for a first time player. Carts were in great shape, staff was friendly and helpful. The pattern was full but we moved along at a great pace. All in all a great facility and one that I'll be returning to for round #2.

I love this course. Lots of fun to be had. Not In perfect condition but still good. Ladies tees are at a great distance from men. So I can score!

A little pricy for the course conditions on some holes but otherwise a fun and challenging course. It’s really punishing if you are out of bounds but fairways are in decent condition and the greens are pretty quick and not bad.

As a homeowner that lives next to this golf course... it's pretty much a disgrace. This place is an eye sore. Most of the letters that denote the name of the golf course restaurant are actually missing. The roof is in an embarrassing state and the grounds are unkempt with weeds everywhere. If you venture into the restaurant, you will receive okay drinks at the bar and subpar food from the kitchen...sometimes inedible. I don't understand why the owner doesn't take more pride in this property as it is truly a hidden gem within our community. If only it was better managed it could be amazing.

Surprised by this course. When booking a tee time there were alot of available Tee time was thinking it was going to be rough. But overall I had a great time with some awesome views.Pros:Price- the saying you get what you pay for doesn't quite apply. This course is reasonable prices and is a must play.Staff- polite and helpfull. Didn't feel rushed or unwelcome. Had pizza for lunch and it was a good slice of pie.Play area- the fairways and greens were good, not great but I believe this is a resolute of poor sportsmanship ( not filling in chunks or fixing divits on the green). Greens were very tricky and it added a complexity to the putting game that makes it interesting.Cons:County- play area cut by 33 percent in the past years due to county regulations.Driving range- Not very large and mats were warn out.Sand traps- sand traps were very packed and hard.Overall the pros out way the cons and I will play this course again. It has a vintage feel, 70 par 18 hole with a bonus hole between 3 and 4. I recommend this course to anyone wanting to play a round of golf. There are a few tight fairways but all very playable.

I took my 9-year old to play this and he had a blast! The distances off of the reds are well proportionate to how far he hits it and the narrow fairways make it challenging. The layout makes you think instead of just ripping driver on every hole. We played "dirt is lava," if you hit it in the areas were the turf has been removed you take a stroke and drop it in the grass. This is great for juniors, and budget-conscious golfers. It is important that we keep affordable options in golf. Stop complaining about not having full, perfect turf coverage. Instead make some adjustments to the rules, like taking a drop when you are in dirt, in order to keep it fun and affordable. We showed up at 4:00 PM with no tee time, they got us out without any attitude and we played in 2 hours and 35 minutes!
