Had a need to paint some concrete and seal it. Home Depot could not help me and sent me to Sherwin Williams. They couldn't help me. But across the street I tried Dixieline Lumber and they were able to help me. Dulce was great as she explained my options and helped me all the way through. As she was tinting my paint, I walked around the store to see an amazing selection and prices.

Customer service is on point! Aaron from the tool section not only answered all of my questions with his vast knowledge , he didnt get annoyed by my amateur questions! Thanks Aaron! You made me a Dixieline customer for life!

A waste of our time. Had to speak to multiple people in the lumber yard to get help with milling the 2 boards we purchased. Nobody communicated with each other. In the end the boards were cut to the wrong size and the employee did not even care to fix it or apologize. I don’t understand how all the measurements can be written out and it was still wrong by multiple inches. Will not return here again.

Dixieline just doesn't have enough selection for the regular homeowner. They do have a super busy contractor counter with very helpful people.

Called Dixieline this morning, I wanted a quote on 2 doors. The sales rep I spoke with previously wasn’t there, so they transferred me to door and window sales rep Shelby. I was concise, I gave her all the information she needed to provide a quote. She said I work on this right now. Now it’s the end of the day and I haven’t heard back. How sad, Dixieline Escondido door and widow sales can’t turn a simple two door quote around in one day. As busy contractors, we need to partner with retailers who can “get it done!”

I went with Dixieline Lumber to build my new patio worst experience ever. They delivered me damaged lumber and they forgot half of my lumber luckily it rain that weekend so contractor rescheduled. They delivered the other half of my lumber the following week and again forgot to bring me the replacements for the damaged lumber. I primed all my lumber and had some leftover tried to return it and they said NO can’t do I asked why and they said because I had primer them. They never mentioned that to me when I purchase it I wish they did. So I wouldn’t recommend Dixieline lumber to anyone. I will never use them again.

We purchased 2 doors from the Escondido location. The more expensive one was shipped to the wrong location and it was damaged. The order was over $2,500.We notified our rep at Dixieline 2 days ago and despite telling us he would resolve the situation, he hasn't. The last thing he told us was that the manufacturer's rep was going to call him to "discuss it." I hope that discussion is when a new door is shipping and how it's going to be expedited as that's the only reasonable solution at this point.The door was not in a crate and it was shipped as you see in the photos--just plastic sheeting and plastic ties.

Never thought I'd be profiled by someone when buying a door, turns out Claudia Strickland does just that. My husband and I have been looking for a front door, and thought we'd have a better experience at Dixieline in Escondido. Unfortunately not. We showed a picture of a door we wanted to Claudia and she said we have a great one that's on sale - she points us to a beat up Dutch door that's not at all what the picture looked like.She said it's the cheapest you're going to find. Did we ask for the cheapest material? Our home is over a million dollars, why in the world do you think we want something that's old, dirty, and broken in the clearance section?Our goal was to get a quote of the doors that matched our style and have the Dixieline team go to measure the door so that we knew we were buying the right one. She said that service is only offered to folks that would pay for their installation services, and that it was $2k, we said thats fine and she continued to push us into buying a door without having it measured, and shared that we can't "USE" them to measure our door and not buy it from them. I asked if other customers pay for the door before having it measured and she said no - so why would we be any different?We are there to buy a front door - why would someone assume that we wouldn't? Is it the way we were dressed? Would love to know. We were not treated like potential customers, were profiled and hope Claudia leaves the customer service space. She was horrible.

We are in the process of building an ADU. We purchased 2 exterior doors and hardware for the project.The initial sales experience went well and the sales rep was very knowledgeable and patient. He found us options that met our needs and gave us recommendations for the best choice. When one of the doors arrived damaged, we were very disappointed. We contacted the rep who indicated not much could be done to remedy the problem. We contacted the manager at Dixieline and he called the door company rep and tried to expedite the solution as much as possible. After two weeks and three missed delivery dates, the manager had the doors delivered to our home. To anyone needing exterior doors, I would order as far in advance as possible and ensure that the doors will be crated and shipped properly. I was upset at Dixieline's initial response but I could tell that it was the manufacturer that caused the problem and they were doing all they could. I hope they can straighten things out with that company or find another supplier. Aside from this issue, the service has been pretty good. Some of the staff do take longer than I expect to answer emails and voicemails which is problematic. Other than that, Dixieline does provide products, information and advice that you just can't get or rely on from other big name competitors.

We ordered windows, sliders, interior doors and hardware from the Escondido store. We mostly dealt with Tyler, Max and Enrique. It's refreshing to experience such great customer service. A few doors were delivered damaged but were promptly replaced. Emtek door handle had a small spot of finish chipped off but Enrique arranged a prompt replacement. We can understand why our contractor recommended them.

This is not a normal service that anybody could get, but this was really really nice. On Saturday Jan. 14th the weather took a turn for the worst and for the first time in 20 years we had to use the fireplace to get warm due to SDG&E price gouge in gas. It was pouring down rain with strong winds and I was on the hunt for firewood. When I got to Dixieline in Escondido, I asked if there was any firewood I could collect from scraps. I was directed to the lumberyard to where I was greeted by Christian, he showed me the waste wood piles, all were soaked. :( He realized that it wasn't going to help me, so he checked with his crew (Liam and Vince) and found some dry scraps that just needed to be cut down in size, I thought I was stuck due to my car being too small to carry the planks. The three guys then told me they would cut it for me. I just thought, "WOW! Best service for scraps of wood." I really appreciated what those guys did for me. I didn't have any money to tip them for their work, so instead I will just write about their humanitarian acts that helped me though this bad season. I hope they get recognized from this little story I wrote and get a nice little something in return. I am grateful for their help, those three and the Escondido store helped my wife and I fight off the cold long enough till this winter storm calms down. Thank You!!! Andrew Faucher
