Forgotten Barrel Winery is a hidden gem in Escondido, easy to get to off the 15 freeway and tucked in a quiet residential area. The venue offers a great selection of reds and whites, including Petit Verdot, and a small version of Bernardo winery with a traditional village theme. Guests can enjoy a lazy afternoon on the patio, with live music in the courtyard and food trucks nearby. The wine tasting pours are nice size, and pre-packaged meat and cheese options are available for purchase, with no paper plates or plastic utensils. The space is large, rustic, and clean, with a barrel shaped bar area and tables outside. Service is great, and the atmosphere is peaceful and highly recommend.
Hidden gem for sure. Great selection of reds and whites. Love the Petit Verdot. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy a lazy afternoon. Great live music and food trucks but check the website!

It's like a small version of Bernardo winery with a traditional village theme. I recommend their chardonnay as it has the woody flavor
