Gabriella, Chad, and Haley were absolutely amazing. This school pumps out skilled massage therapists. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I dearly loved this school and took over 1000 hours of training. The teachers are fantastic and the new location on Valley Parkway in Escondido is lovely. You learn hands on and I have never been disappointed with any class. As a matter of fact I have had massages from many people that had there training elsewhere and not had as good of massage from any of them. I for one will never get another massage from anyone that was not trained at Healing Shane's School of Holistic Health !!!

I attended Healing Hands way back in 2017/2018. I received my HHP certificate from them and my massage therapy license from the state of CA. From the minute I walked into the school for more information, I felt welcome. They worked with me on financial aide, they offered evening and weekend classes to work around my children's schedule. Every single class i took helped me become more confident as a massage therapist. If I had the time and the finances I would have liked to take every class they offered. I truly believe I would not have gotten a better education at another school. The program changed my life. Becoming a massage therapist gave me the freedom and flexibility to make my own schedule, work for myself (or someone else if desired) and be confident in my ability to help people. My favorite classes were anything with Robert North, Shana Lipner-Grover, Chris Morgan, Dan Martin, and Dr Shannon Gonzalez (not sure how many of them still teach there)If you're on the fence about this school, just do it!

I went through the Massage Technician course back in March 2000. I really enjoyed my teachers and training I received back then.

"Massage and Bodywork is something I've been passionate about for some time. Before attending Healing Hands I was very skeptical and anxious about spending the money and dedicating the time to go to Massage School. Even to the point I was nearly having an anxiety attack the night before my first day. I'm happy to report nearly a year later I'm finishing my 600hr Massage Therapy Program. I benefited from everything I've learned and has led to quadruple the returns with my skills, knowledge, and finances as a bodyworker. I really appreciate how the Healing Hands Staff and School worked with me in my 3rd quarter of school to lower my class schedule, when I was struggling to take care of my finances and go to school full-time. They even worked with me to get a grant and receive financial aid for some of my school expenses mid-way through my schooling. I highly recommend Healing Hands as a Massage School, all the teachers are amazing and actively practicing therapists, the classes are fun, and all the student diversity is great with people from all ages, walks of life, and careers. I definitely will be coming back to do more classes in the future. Thank you Healing Hands and I look forward to where my Massage Career takes me in life."

Completing my HHP was one of the best things that has ever happened to me! I am working at my dream job! One of my biggest challenges today is not having enough hours in a week to get all my clients in for their massages! Thank you to all my teachers/ mentors at Healing Hands! You have all assisted me in making my dreams come true!

Recent graduate here! Selecting this school to learn massage therapy was the best decision I've ever made. The instructors are knowledgeable and welcoming, and the relationships I've made with other students are invaluable. I love this place.

RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: Another experience with this school was that the owners never took responsibility for any of their school's failings and flaws. Their response exemplifies this. --- My first one-star review was reported and removed, so let's try again. I am a FORMER STUDENT. I completed the 600-hour massage therapy program. I DO NOT recommend this school. Not one bit. I'll keep my reasons brief: THE SCHOOL: Out of all the federally funded schools I have been to, this is the most unprofessional school by far. There are no checks and balances systems within the school. There is no grievance or appeals process (even though it's stated that there is one in the student handbook). Whatever the owners say, is what goes. This sets up for abuse in the system, which is what I experienced. I found some possible discrepancies within their book and record keeping, which naturally brought about questions. When I asked for clarification, instead of going over the records with me and answering my questions, they decided to use intimidation tactics to "resolve" the issue and remove the "problem" (me), instead of trying to problem solve in healthy and functional ways. This is a huge red flag that something is amiss within the system. THE PROGRAM: Their circulatory and sports massage coursework are outdated and teach the use of thumbs and fingers, which is not sustainable for a long career. In fact, it can lead to injury of the joints. I found this school more appropriate for students interested in energy healing. While it does teach anatomy and hands-on massage work, if you're looking for something more in line with science, I'd choose a different school. The only positive of this school was the people I met in the program. I developed a few different longterm friendships. THE BUILDING: The Escondido building (the main school) is old and dilapidated. It is not ADA-compliant, however since the building is old, it is exempt. Their rooms are upstairs, there is no elevator, and it is not wheelchair accessible. People are often smoking outside of the buildings. THE STUDENT CLINIC: I also tried out the student clinic a few times and before I became a student, and was unimpressed. Yes, it's super affordable. However, the quality of student is highly variable, and they tend to do whatever they are learning, which is fine, however client preferences should be taken into consideration. The room it was done in was dirty. IN CONCLUSION: Overall, I do not recommend this school. My experience was negative and if I could do massage training over, I'd choose a different school. One that teaches proper form for a sustainable career in massage, one that cares about their students, even when conflict arises, and one that is current and up-to-date in their curriculum.

This is a review is for the student massage clinic only (not the school as I've never attended the massage school). For $45 you get an hour massage with a student and a free hour massage to schedule for another time with the student clinic. Though still in training, the students usually do a wonderful job- asking you where your focus points are, checking whether the strokes and pressure are to your liking. I have yet to have a bad massage experience and who can beat 2 massages for $45? Highly recommend it- I try to go at least a few times a year.

Wonderful school for learning massage! The owners are so kind and welcoming of all people, and you can go here if you pay in full or if you need help through FAFSA. They have locations in Escondido, Laguna Hills and Kearny Mesa, and if you're not interested in going to school here, just receiving massage, you can get great massages from students in their "student clinic" for really amazing rates! Give them a call. Highly recommend this place over any other school; they truly teach with integrity, honesty, and compassion.

This school is very informative and the teachers and staff are wonderful helpful and polite. Everyone's purpose is to help and guide you to reach you goal. I meet so many nice people. When I first entered I felt like there was so much to learn and the teachers took the time to open my mind to understand the materials and techniques in a relaxed learning environment and now I can say I have obtained the information and had a great time learning. I am thankful for all the teachers and staff for their encouragement and support. I hope to return to attend more classes in the future.

When visiting family in the Escondido area, we always enjoy a student massage from this school! They’ve always been good, but this last time was exceptional. While my husband got the deep tissue, I opted for a therapeutic, relaxing treatment! We would do this weekly if we lived closer!!

Great place to get regenerated with a massage! Students work on you, the price can't be beat 2 for $45 (current offer). Escondido, Kearny Mesa and Laguna Hills.......I've been going over 3 years and it beats the cost of Dr. referrals......I've been healthier since I've been getting regular massages.....3 years strong. The owner is really nice and staff are as well! Great way for students to fine tune their skills!
