This place has the worse procedure when it comes to notifying clients of their pending services. My partner and I booked a massage together 3 weeks prior. I received a reminder text 2 days prior and confirmed 'Y'. We showed up for our appointment and the front office informed us that my partner's massage therapist is no longer with the company therefore they canceled his appointment without letting him aware. They didn't even try to replace it with another therapist. They said that they texted him but he never replied it's because they have the wrong phone # for him. 2nd step should have been notifying me since I replied to confirmed my appointment. So frustrating but decided to kept my own appointment since they were gouling to change me full price for same day canceled. Good thing Shannon my massage therapist took all the tension away during my massage. Never recommend this place for massage services.

At most businesses, it’s not uncommon to recieve a cookie-cutter massage, even after clarifying the problem-areas you’d like addressed. Here at the The Massage Room, you definitely will receive a service that is catered directly to you and your needs. Thank you guys so much, you’ve put my twingey shoulders at bay!!!

So I've been a repeat client for massage envy escondido. I have an appointment scheduled for the day and out of courtesy to my massage therapist and the front desk rep. I test myself everytime I go . Unfortunately I tested positive today. So I called them to inform them and hoping to reschedule but unfortunately instead of understanding my condition they said they'll take my half credit right away. Not to mention it takes a month or two to book with them.

My wife and I had appointment's for massages together, her masseuse was terrific and she was very happy with it. 5 stars! However I chose a deep tissue and got snickle-frits! After my wife was escorted to her room I waited about 10 min before I was escorted to my room, where my masseuse Jennifer must have been late for an appointment or had the runs, she was in such a hurry! The whole time she rushed through everything, felt like she was washing dishes on my back. she asked if I wanted more pressure and I said 'yes please, much more pressure' 5 min later, the little pressure she applied faded and felt more like she was thumb rubbing imaginary stains. When she got to my clavicle I had to tell her to stop and move on to something else. When Jennifer got to my feet, she got to the point where she swiveled my foot around to the point it started popping! No Good! Afterwards she asked me how was it? in the middle of my response Jennifer was halfway out the door. I had to use the sheet's to wipe off the gallon's of lotion she slathered me in and after I found my way back to the lobby turns out I ended up having to wait another 10 min for my wife to finish her session. Really!? I think Jennifer lied on her application.

I visited this location as a guest and had the most superb experience! The check-in staff was friendly and efficient. My massage therapist greeted me on time and she was friendly, professional and simply WONDERFUL. She was very receptive to my wishes about where to concentrate on my body and had a GREAT technique. The room was clean and inviting...heated (optional) massage bed was sublime. I would highly recommend and will be back to become a member. Rating: A+++

The "I'm Sorry" business. I'm sorry the app booked you when we don't have a therapist, I'm sorry the therapist isn't coming in today we have to cancel, I'm sorry we closed RB, I'm sorry we only have two therapists today, I'm sorry we keep charging you but you can't get in.....why don't I cancel? Because I have a stack of GC I want to use at the member rate, but I CANT GET IN!

This place was terrible! Every time I make an appointment, it is canceled at the last minute. Because the therapist didn't come in. They give you the run around. I will never use this site again. A waste of my time.

Poor customer service, mediocre massage therapists, cannot keep massage therapists, hard to get a real person on the phone, don't call back, difficult to schedule a massage. Shall I continue? I was with Massage Envy in Rancho Bernardo since about 2006. Minimal issues. It went under during COVID and my account was transferred to Escondido. Same owner....terrible service. I moved my account to another Massage Envy. Don't bother with this location.

I've been getting massages at different places for a few years now and I've never really found my go to. Today, however, was by far the best massage/stretch I've ever gotten! Moises is definitely a master of his craft, I didn't even have to mention my problem areas. He provided some helpful stretching tips at the end that are super easy and that'll definitely help as I'm always on the go. All the ladies at the front desk were also super friendly and sweet. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks!

Had the worst experience at this location. Jennifer had a bad energy from the minute she put me in the room. The massage was very rough and it felt like she was taking out her bad day out on me. She was getting lotion all over my hair and didn't ask me if I had any areas of focus. She also started rubbing my butt which no one has ever done at any massage place. I asked for medium pressure and it felt like she was poking me and lightly applying lotion on me. This massage was so bad that I had to stop her half way through. The management wasn't any help. Lily called me and didn't care about that I had a bad experience. She just called to see if I wanted to re book an appointment. She didn't even want to hear what happened. Terrible management. I went to get my eyebrows done to make my day better and oddly enough my wax specialist knew Lily and gave me the scoop on the Escondido location. I will not be returning to this location and I will not be referring people here again.

I booked a massage for today in honor of my birthday. I took the day off from work and planned my entire day around my massage. I called and booked the appointment over the phone in advance because I was having trouble with their website. When I arrived today to check in, there was no record of my appointment. I was already having some misgivings about booking my birthday massage with Massage Envy Escondido because two years ago, I called to ask questions about a service, and spoke with someone who said they would have to call me back. No one called. So I called again and left a message, and no one called me back. I gave up on trying their services. I decided that I would give this business one more try, and book myself online so I wouldn't run into the same challenges I had in 2019. However, when I entered my credit card, the system would just spin and spin and never give me confirmation of the appointment. I tried twice with no success. So I decided to call. The woman at the counter at my attempted check-in seemed very concerned with determining the day and time of my call to make my appointment. She came off as indignant and defensive, and unprepared to handle mishandled clients. When I investigated and provided her with the information, this resulted in no resolution of the problem of my missing appointment. I do not understand why I was asked to produce the details, other than perhaps to prove that the error of my nonexistent massage appointment did not lie with me. The person at the desk offered to have her manager come out to see if perhaps she could offer something for a future service, however no manager was called. When I said that I wasn't going to stand at the counter any longer, feeling humiliated at the situation, she said in an argumentative tone that she thought I was on my phone. Admittedly, yes, I was on my phone, but nevertheless a manager should have been called as she had suggested. However, I am not sure what the manager could have done for me aside from finding someone to perform the service I reserved. I asked if she could fit me in today, and she said no, that they were are booked. She did offer an apology, but to my ears it was cold and insincere. I am extremely disappointed in my experiences with Massage Envy Escondido. I will never again attempt to patron this business. I wish them the best of luck with their future clients, hoping they are provided with better customer service than what I received. I hope this never happens to anyone else. Especially on their birthday.
