We've always loved Orfila and have been members for years, but on our recent visit, we noticed it to be a lot less personable and cold. They changed the decor that's been there for years and no longer have much of a gift shop. I know it was bought, but it's not the same. Change is not necessarily good here. The wine is very good as usual, but it needs that homey traditional feel.

My friend took us here a few weeks back for a Friday afternoon wine tasting! Beautiful and large vineyard. The outdoor patio overlook, on select days they have live music. We we're here on a Friday where we got to enjoy a live band. To you my friends ordered a bottle to share, all my friend and I did the wine tasting. Great selections of wines. The servers are very well versed and educated in their wines and descriptions.

Invited by friends for an after work glass of wine before the time change. Beautiful views from the patio, good friends, and a nice crisp chardonnay is a great way to top off the day??

1st time, very impressed! Had no idea that a winery like this was in or near Escondido . Great venue, they have a family side and an adult only side. Great wine, great staff highly recommend ?

Beautiful winery. The wine was pretty good. It would be nice if you could order from your table and have the staff bring your order to you, as opposed to having to go back and forth from your table to the building. It’s worth a visit.

This is my favorite winery. They make really good wines, have excellent facilities and are in a good location. I have been to several wineries in Temecula, a couple in other parts of the county and Ofila in Escondido is our favorite in San Diego county. They do both reds and whites well. Most wineries do one much better than the other but they do both reds and whites well. If you're into whites I recommend the Viogner (try the Lotus) and for the reds either a Syrah or a Zinfandel.

This place is NOT family friendly. If you have kids expect to be shoved to the back of the compound. We had our baby in a stroller asleep, when no one was there, and we were sent to the back where there was no shade, wet grass, and bird poop covered tables. Not to mention customer service is TERRIBLE. The older lady who works the bar is miserable lady. We cancelled our membership since the new addition to our family clearly wasn't welcome. Plenty of amazing vineyards in Escondido.

Not kid friendly. I wouldn't recommend anyone with children under 21 to visit here. You will have to sit by the area next to a parking lot. You don't really get any views.
The funny thing is that I was told all of this after I had paid for drinks.

Beautiful views! Great pricing on their tasting. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and was a short wait.

The wine is wonderful. I highly recommend a tour with Amanda she was informative, friendly and very knowledgeable. The grounds are breathtaking. Service from beginning to end was superb. Go for the wonderful variety of carefully crafted wines and stay for the view. You will not be disappointed.
