Sad to give this Petco a 1 Star review as most of the staff is helpful. The vetco here took my call and listened to me explain the story of our rescue dog. They booked an appointment for me and then when we did show up turned us away because all we had were the rescue papers. They took my call and knew that was all we had and still let us make an appointment. They wasted our time.

It's alright. Usually I go here for my cats' food and litter. Today I noticed they finally got more mini shopping carts! Took you long enough. Also, it seemed like there are more people working here and at the registers which is good. So good job, Petco.
The only thing irritating now is the parents that allow their kids to "talk" at decibels of 100. Teach your kids better.

Do not buy their saltwater fish, since the fishes are kept in poor conditions. Had a bad experience while buying a lawnmower goby. The fish was dead even before I got back home within 30 mins. And they refused take any responsibility citing their store policy. So, I highly discourage people to buy any saltwater fish from here, instead support your local fish store.

I will change my rating to 5 stars once you FIRE that awful old lady at the register who makes everyone so uncomfortable when checking anyone out by panicking and being obsurd about every freakin thing. SHE IS TERRIBLE AND SHOULD NOT BE WORKING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE at the Escondido Petco!
