Went this morning to get 3 propane tanks filled. Was busy lot got waived around other side to park. Used a stall between 2 rentals and immediately had heavily tatted female employee block me in. While completing transaction i asked attendant to have truck moved. The female employee came over to complain insult and berate me for parking there and did park on purpose. Im standing 3 feet away as she continues to insult me. Couldn't even wait til i left. What did i do wrong. The attendant was great and stuck listening to her go on and on insulting me. Not his fault. She should not be in a customer service role. Why should i ever go back now?

Just got my propane cylinder refilled at this location. Drove up and the guys immediately took care of me. In and out in under 10 minutes. Price was fair, service was friendly and quick. So much better than a cylinder exchange.

Great customer service at this location. I rented a uhaul for a long distance move from Northern California to Escondido and had a totally contrasting experience with that other location up north. Staff at the Escondido location were friendly and helpful. They were happy to help me with my issues and close out my rental. I would recommend this location over others easily.

I scheduled an online appointment to get my trailer hitch fixed as the wiring on was acting up, and I couldn't connect anything successfully. What's worse is that I had the hitch installed at a U-Haul location in San Jose, and so clearly something got messed up when it was installed. I took my car in on a whim to this shop in Escondido to have the hitch looked at. At first, the employees noticed a blown fuse, so we replaced that. After looking at it more, they suggested I make an appointment and come in to see their hitch pro, Jason. I scheduled my appointment for the next week and went in. The online scheduling with U-Haul is confusing because it makes it seem like you have to pay when you schedule the appointment, but really you are just reserving your timeslot and they need a CC number for that. Once the appointment was booked, everything was smooth sailing. The manager checked me in and Jason was able to take a look at my car within 10 minutes. It only took him 15 minutes to realize that the wiring was all messed up, and that the U-Haul location in San Jose made everything harder than they needed to. I drive a Subaru Crosstrek, and the wiring for a trailer is really simple to set up, as Jason showed me. Once Jason finished hooking up the new wiring, we tested everything with a real trailer and it worked flawlessly. Thank you Jason for your help in making my tow hitch work the way it was meant to!

This review is for the staff that works the checkout counter. They are so helpful and friendly. They offer great tips on what to buy for your moving needs. They are also super fast and efficient at checkout. I went in the other day and a customer in front of me forgot his wallet in the car... without missing a beat the gentleman behind the counter grabbed my order and off I was before I knew it. The time before that the woman behind the counter advised me to take an inventory of the Kit I was about to buy and it was incomplete! Had she not warned me, I would have been sad.

If I could give them a negative ten i would.. Becuz these guys are unreal. Talk about corporate gangsters.. I got a storage unit in july. They hand me 20 day eviction paperwork August 12. It stipulates my property will be "dsposed of" after those 20 days..instead of the usual lock customer out for non payment then auction off my property. No, this inexplicable loophole allows uhaul to simply discard all of it. Throw away, dispose of it..huh? Wtf? Im treated like a baby and put on restricted access only allowing me 30 min daily. If im there 31 they call police, which they did 3 times.. Then in early August they charge me an extra $100 cleaning fee inhibiting e from getting it all out into another unit elsewhere. Im not rich and unfortunately hafta wait until Septembers monthly deposit to rent elsewhere.. Then they forget how to count to 20 and claim my last day was Aug. 30, and then change it the 31, but law says you begin the count on the day after paperwork is served. August 13th is day 1, which means september 1 is my last or 20th day to clear unit. Which i confirmed with Nefertitti in their corporate office..then I finally find trailer and uhaul decides to add extra stipulations, new rules.. seemingly just for me. WOW. I can only access my unit on this vital last day before they throw my lifes possessions once my trailer arrives. Huh? Wtf? Why? Then they decide to add a last illegal rule which is once i start unloading my unit, I can't stop. It shouldve been by 7pm when they close. They keep pulling shady aka illegal manuevers.. Am i in America right how? Isn't this a corporation that follows and abides by American laws? I work fast n hard and get roughly 75% of it down to trailer... at least 15 full carts.. but it's alot of stuff to load as well as really hot outside, so my trailer driver decides to get some water so we both.go next door to 711. Then I head back 5 minutes later to finally finish clearing unit. Well apparently thats against their new rule.. one made ONLY for me.. because the heavy set mgr Kayla comes up and use this extra rule she just added to deny me access to the last of my unit. Their employee Mary literally slams the door shut on my head, which still hurts. Im emotional now and completely disagree with all this BS. I did alot of work and spent big money and deserve to keep my lifes possessions.... but not since uhaul invoked their new "cant stop unloading rule". Im beyond pissed as its seemingly being allowed.. But now police are being called for the fourth time and im arrested at gunpoint for being loud and emotional. I lose my fathers ashes, all my kids pictures, high school yearbooks, thousands of collectibles and a ton of my prized possessions...and these corporate gangsters got to mske up new rules as we went along just smiled as they ruined my life. Oh yeah and the huge homeless encampment they allow to reside in the back will steal anything not nailed down.

Came to refill my propane tank and was helped very quickly and the manager was really nice! I forgot to get her name but she was very friendly. She even helped me get my tank back in my car

James& Mary were so helpful, was courteous to all everybody in line. They just helped us out of a real bad jam this morning. If you ever need a U-Haul truck, definitely consider going to talking to James and Mary, they both had really good customer service, friendly and caring. BTW, we downloaded yelp just because this sevice was so great. That's how good they were. Really happy about everything they did for us. Appreciate you guys!

I paid almost $800 to have a trailer hitch installed in my car. My appointment was for 7:30AM and was supposed to take 2 hours. When I arrived they were already working on someone's car and told me it would be another 45 minutes before they started my vehicle. Wrong! I didn't end up getting out of there until after 1 PM. Would recommend finding another location to have a hitch installed.

Stopped by to get propane. Took about 8 minutes for someone to come to come out but it did look like there were other customers in the store, so maybe they were understaffed. Anyway, the woman who came out was great! Even followed protocol to have me stand behind the yellow line while she filled my tank. The price was less than than if I swapped tanks at Walmart or other stores.
