Just got home from my visit here and honestly I feel so bad for our cashier Nathan. I honestly feel like he should quit his job and go somewhere he's valued because this place seems like an awful work environment. Poor kid has severe anxiety and for him to be left by himself without any management in site is crazy. At least leave him a key so he can fix certain issues. He had a line of about 20 people because the manager was nowhere to be seen. He kept calling for someone and nobody would come. It got so bad that my fiance started roaming the store to look for someone to help him out. After several failed attempts, the manager finally decides to show up with the most annoyed look on her face, talking on the phone to someone. I'm assuming it was a personal call because she ended it with an "I gotta go I love you". She proceeded to finally help him out. I'm hoping!!!! Because I left the store so peeved with her. She didn't even acknowledge Nathan or apologize for leaving him for so long. If anything, she seemed like she was upset with him because he called her over to do her job. I really do hope Nathan reads this and realizes he needs to leave that toxic environment. It seems like they have no issue doing things similar to this if she felt so comfortable strolling in on her phone like he was the issue. This used to be a store I liked shopping at but after seeing how they treat their employees me and my fiance will be going somewhere else.

Came here for a Doordash order in the floral department. Took me over 20 minutes to get here from when I received the order. Got here, nothing. Nobody working over here. Went to Customer Service, nobody was there. A cashier asked me if I needed help. I'm still waiting and haven't gotten my order. Aside from the cashier, these people are incredibly incompetent.

Usually I don't shop at Vons, but I did it today, Vons at Felicita (Escondido). I'm very disappointed at the management because there was only 1 open "live cashier" to help all of us to pay. There were more than 5 senior citizens waiting in line!!! I complaint with the cashier and he mentioned the other ONE cashier, was at lunch time! Really???? Vons wants the customers to use their self serve cashiers, but they totally disrespect all of us seniors bc we need help and it is very difficult to use the self serve cashiers to imput the codes and weights of veggies and fruits.
I recommend us all to go to Trader Joe's, Jimbos or others that respect us.

These employees, well the lady's up in the front anyway, are always so rude and have the worst look in thier faces. One of your employees thinks she's loss prevention and loves to follow customers around all the time.. I only shop here when I absolutely must... Otherwise I'd rather not step foot in this store. Here's a tip for all the sour faces up front, If you hate your job and you hate dealing with the public so much, go get another job that you enjoy! Its simple..

I would give this location zero stars if I could. Always people with some form of mental illness lurking outside the doors and sometimes in the store as well. Moldy food everywhere in the produce section. Overpriced items on every isle. Poor customer service if you need to talk to staff. Overall avoid this location like the plague.

I started my shopping early today- around 0930ish. I wanted fried chicken. I went to 2 other grocery stores only to arrive to no fried chicken so I left both stores. I was driving past this particular Vons and I opted to stop in. I was THRILLED when I walked in and saw fresh fried chicken this early in the morning! The gal who helped me with the chicken at the deli counter was awesome! And I also have to give recognition to Stephanie the cashier/checker, as she was a ray of sunshine too! Perhaps I will shop at this location more often!

I had a very embarrassing and bit humiliating experience, while I take part of the blame too the cash register employee didn't need to be rude. I sometimes get confused on using the deals that are on the app and there was a 10 for 10 deal, I got my items and at checkout I asked the employee if the deal was applied, he said "no, you needed to clipped it on the app in order to make it work" I asked if I could still use it (haven't paid just yet), employee mentioned that he would need to cancel the whole transaction and start again, a bit embarrassed I asked if we could proceed as it was one of the reason I went shopping there. At that moment the employee got very upset and make sure people around us knew, he asked for help with other employees and told them I did not use the coupon and needed to cancel the transaction in a very frustrated voice, at one point I told him that I could change lanes if he wanted me too, he replied "no is ok." It was not really a pleasant experience I did apologize at the end but I left feeling very humiliated. I was in no way rude to the employee and kept it very polite.

Great shopping center, Had lunch at Miguel's restaurant, service was perfect, food was great ?. Only issue I have with Vons is they never seem to have enough check outs open ?

All 3 staff members I interacted with refused to assist me for a single item. They refused to do the bare minimum. Save your time, money and patience and go to a better store such as Trader Joe's CVS or Ralph's.
