James Porter? Honestly if you don't feel like you're in the mood to work, call out. This man saw me placing my items at his register and for some reason was taking FOREVER to scan everything. There's scanning something slow and then there's a IM HIGH AND CANT FUNCTION slow. JAMES was an IM HIGH AND CANT FUNCTION slow. Didn't bother me at all, cool. Having a bad day, do you by all means. But he wasn't just taking his sweet a** time scanning my items because he was extremely high. This man waited until the very end of scanning all my s*** to look me in the eye and tell me "OH BY THE WAY, this is the express lane". First of all, it was not obvious whatsoever that you were working in an express lane. Second of all, you could have said something when you were staring my down while I was placing my s*** on your register. I literally live down the street, but after this shitty a** encounter, I will gladly take my money to Albertsons that's a minute away. James, get your s*** together or find another job. Everyone is literally hiring right now.

No staff. Long lines. I needed propane. They sold it to me then realized they were out. Wouldn't even get me back in line to issue a refund. Told me to get in the long line. Only two lanes open. Guy in front of me gave up and left. If I didn't need the refund I'd leave too.

No self checkout and slow, limited cashiers. One of them wasn't even at their register (light was on and no one was home). I hardly get any cell service at this location too.

Terrible pharmacy. I would give a zero. Scheduled Covid vaccine 3 weeks ago for me and my husband. Received confirmation messages about the vaccine appointments Arrived and the pharmacist said she would not give the vaccines saying she was the only person there and needed to answer phones and if someone showed up for a prescription we would wait until she helped others who arrived after she started the vaccine for us. She said wait time between answering the phones and helping customers could be over an hour. Very unprofessional and unpleasant Neither of us were given any help and were not vaccinated. After reviewing the business manager's reply, I logged into Von's website and proceeded to the contact option. Then entered the information and the automatic reply said they could not assist. Their manager says the same to everyone.

Meagan Wentz has helped me twice get my cake order to Charlie who has made not only delicious, but beautiful cakes! I sent a photo and she wasAble to replicate it perfectly both times. Meagan got my order to her and made sure everything was correct for pick up. I hope to order many more cakes through them. It was so easy and it took all my stress away!

I usually go into the Vons on El Norte Pkwy , the one where DQ is located . Decided to go into the EVP location . Hands down a much better store . Very friendly staff , much cleaner store , couldn't believe how nice and organized everything was . Meagan is wonderful. They actually like there jobs , and it shows ! I will definitely start going there , they are a little out of my way , since we live on the North side of town , but will head over to this location to shop , well worth it !

Wrong on sssooo many levels! Went in for my non alcoholic beverages, when purchasing manager on duty and cashier Pamola felt free to pull out a large amount of cash from register and discuss how a employee got fired and yelled at by female manager for coming in late for work. I told them in the most appropriate way that I am not here to listen to there conversation and that this is a huge violation of the employee's privacy and very inappropriate for them to discuss in front of not only myself but, other customers. I asked for mangers name in which he questioned me by asking "for what?" I am an honest person and told him I will be contacting corporate. He walked off saying nothing ignoring me. I purchased my items asked for receipt to have Pamola tell me " you can know my name" I told her I can read it on her tag thanks. I really very disappointed in the manager representing the store and question how often does he discuss employee's with non management and why he was so comfortable discussing this in front of customers.. you know he's done this before. NO GOOD THERE GUY! I know this is against policies. As I said in beginning sssooo wrong on sssooo many levels.

Just bought vinegar and salt to find undone drummers. Albertsons asserting, "That's weird" be careful, heaven forbid I get ill from this. I'm keeping the chicken just in case. No more patronage at this location (East Valley Parkway) at least not for cooked food.

Oh oh, I just bought a bottle of expired Bayer Back and Body. Watch the expirations if you buy from here. There's a few more on the shelf. I returned it and let the cashier know that they're still expired product back there, but my experience with other grocers is that it'll stay there, unfortunately,Until it gets bought. Eight days later: well I went back today and there's still expired stuff on the shelf. Megan W got back to me on yelp said she was the store manager and that the product had been removed from the shelves was not telling the truth. I managed to talk to the new manager Celeste about it today. WOW Vons you hire fibbers. I hate to do reviews like this because it wastes my time but I guess if something good happens from this then it's a good thing. I've included today's pictures of expired products . I guess I'll contact corporate now to elevate the issue. Hate to be a fly in the ointment, but selling expired product is not cool. It can be dangerous.

Totally makes me mad when a cashier has no manners and is impolite!! My husband and I came here for a few items, as we were done and leaving my husband noticed that the cashier gave him to much money back so he went back to let her know, instead of saying thank you the cashier Maggie had an attitude, i totally let her know that a thank you was in order due to the fact that her register would have been 74 dollars short. People like her make honest people not want to be honest.

The bakery here is amazing! I went here for my sons birthday cake and was absolutely blown away when I went to pick it up. I ordered through heather and had a lot of odd requests including a checker board top and blood dripping sides ( Five Nights at Freddy's for my son). I had only mentioned wanting fondant and she said they don't typically do that there. When I picked it up Heather had gone out of her way to do the fondant. The cake was way better than I ever expected. And tasty too! For the price I will never go to another bakery for a birthday cake. Thank you Heather for making my son's birthday cake so special!

Could be better a lot better. Wine buyer can't go or know further tastes than Escondido. The choice is horrible. Red selection is okay but I can do better at Specialty Market. Beer selection poor for San Diego stores. Produce is better than Ralph's. Store is clean and organized.
