“Was pretty but wished the trails were marked better. Walked along one to the earth sculpture not sure when it would end and wasn’t till we got to the end that the trail marker there said it was 1 mile long. The earth garden sculpture was…. Not what I would call a sculpture just a small bump of grass with some metal edging. I’m glad I went once it was very beautiful everywhere with lots of different type of plants but I don’t think I’d care to go back again.”
“As an introvert, I was a bit intimidated by the buzz and flutter, at first, but I met locals and it became a very welcoming experience. This place is a well oiled machine, and I look forward to visiting again. I like that you can get a lunch tray, or snag a fruit or two and get in and out if you're short on time. Very cool place. East coast girl. This place is a lens, and I feel better having visited.”
“Had a great experience at the mobil bloodbank in mckinleyville this afternoon. Friendly, professional and all around great crew. Thanks for making donating blood an adventure!”
“I've rented the building for work dances several times now and the staff is super communicative, helpful and easy to work with. The space is great for what we need it for and the rental price is really reasonable. Kitchen facilities are adequate and the bathrooms were recognized updated. Lots of tables and chairs, a separate smaller room for other activities, and wheel chair accessible. We like this place and will continue to use them.”
“I walked through the doors of Redwood Adult and Teen Challenge on July 1, 2020 with a 20 plus year heroine and meth addiction. The staff were so supportive and led me to a relationship with Jesus that transformed my life. This last July 1,2024 I celebrated 4 years clean. I graduated college and was hired on as staff in Southern California Teen Challenge aka the Castle. I met my beautiful wife and was married this last March. We moved back to Eureka and I became staff at Redwood in April. My desire is to see others set free through same program where my chains were broken. None of this was possible without a safe and loving place like Redwood Teen challenge. If you or someone needs help please have them call.”
“Wonderful piece of Eureka's architectural menagerie. This Art Deco concrete building is a lovely Veterans' Memorial building and also serves as a VFW post. There is a great CASH ONLY bar if you served or are with a service member or veteran! This building was meticulously remodeled and is absolutely a stunning Memorial for all of the brave men and women of the armed forces. If you get a chance to go inside and see the interior architectural finish work, railings, plaster and various other plaques and stained glass, you will be impressed. Thank you veterans and thanks to those who have created and maintained this building so that it continues to stand as a shining example of period architecture and as a memorial for our veterans!”

“A local community service organization that provides a range of services for low and moderate income people living in Humboldt County. The old house they are located in is a beautifully maintained example of high quality Victorian architecture.”
“They really care about the animals there. Prices are excellent for shots and spay. They worked with our rescue to have our pup spayed and the surgery went very well.”
