I had a fantastic experience my last trip to BevMo! I was hunting down cocktail recipe ingredients for a virtual yelp event, and I needed to track down some elderflower liqueur. Having never had it before, I made a couple calls. The liquor store in town only had one option for $32, but BevMo had a plethora of options and prices. Any cocktail ingredients you can think of, they have it! In the past, I've bought fancy flavored rim salts and margarita mixes, and tiny bottles of champagne for events. Someone helped me right away, and I stopped by aisle one to purchase a wooden muddler. If you're looking to be a spectacular host, you can find a variety of snacks and cheeses to pair with various wines. If you're looking to buy a gift, you can grab a bottle and pick out one of their booze gift bags. This place gives you everything you need to entertain. Friendly service too!

The very nice manager asked how my day was going, must have been in late 2019, and he was so wonderful to help me get what I wanted. Other employees have also been exceptionally helpful and friendly. This has been my experience before Covid-19 and during Covid-19. With a BevMo card, I have been surprised with the great savings, and the convenience of avoiding crowded stores like Winco. A nice feature is getting the beer before it is refrigerated, so it can be stored without refrigeration. Then refrigerated when a person wants a cold beer. They have cold beer too. I was surprised looking at my receipts after purchase, to find prices were great with the discounts. During this Caronavirus,, a person calls ahead and they have the order ready for you. They let one customer in at a time to pay privately at the register (wear a face mask). Nobody but employees are walking around the store. They are knowledgeable and will walk around the store to see if they have what you want. Wonderful customer service is hard to come by these days, and these people are doing a great job in a very stressful time.

Great Prices for a grocery store in NorCal. Customer service was excellent and they bagged my groceries to my liking, that's a huge plus for me!

Dear BEV-MO, the customer service at BEV-MO in eureka ca is Horrible Horrible ! ! ! the good personnel are gone -- "Recommender" Manager Andrew and Salesman "Recommender" John ! ! ! more later ! ! ! remaining management -- d, e, s, -- are biased, unprofessional, arrogant -- AND -- antithetical to BEV-MO'S customer relations and to the BEV-MO Brand ! ! ! OK, BEV-MO ! ! ! OK, MILLENNIALS ! ! ! TWO HOURS LATER: I went to EXCELLENT WINE PROFESSIONAL KEN -- who MOVED from BEV-MO EUREKA to the EUREKA COOP -- to order my XMAS spirits Gifts this year -- instead of BEV-MO EUREKA ! ! !

I love this place! People who work there who I've never even seen before know exactly what I want just by giving them my name. I do usually call ahead though and make an order. I show up, today they opened the empty register so I didn't even have to wait in line. Then she carried my case out the to my car for me. This is Customer Service at its best if you ask me. Thanks to Andrew and they guys for keeping me in mind every month too. As I have an un-written standing order there. Cya next month!

My husband and I went yesterday and we found the store extremely clean and the customer service we received from Andrew (I think that was his name) was super helpful and told us about these amazing cheeses, now we are addicted lol, the cheese is the best blends of amazing cheese. The alcohol is pretty good priced also. Thanks again Andrew !

First off the other day I was at the Fortuna Safeway and had my leashed service dog with me also has his ID handy but apparently if he does not have is vest on that means it's ok to disrespect me and when offered to show his ID I got a eye roll and a no and walked away as I was already checked out leaving. Second I was there tonight (not with my service seeing that it's an issue) but there were no hand baskets near the door so I had grabbed a empty one that was behind a check stand and when I was checking out with people be hind me and all the skinny young man with glasses gave me a weird look and said with a bad attitude "where did you get that?!" I was like what looked around and held up the basket and he said yeah that! I started to say at a check stand and then he cut Me off and said at a check stand?! I was shocked so I said yeah and chuckled a bit. cause like really what's the problem and he just gave me a eye roll. Like seriously I enjoyed Safeway when I lived in Eureka but the Fortuna Safeway has some of the rudest employees I have ever came in contact with I think the only nice person that I've had to deal with there was the guy behind the seafood. like seriously some of the worst customer service.

SEND YOUR SICK EMPLOYEES HOME especially when they're sick this time of year. It's disgusting having a bagger wipe her snotty nose on her hands and handle my groceries and get me sick even when I tried to use hand sanitizer.

This is the worst Safeway I've ever been in. The lines most days are backed up and they don't call for help. They don't bag your groceries, and the bathrooms are filthy and never have toilet paper or hand towels. Yesterday I scanned my phone app over a "just for you" item to get the discount and when I got home I noticed they charged me full price. The meat department has the worst selection of fresh seafood (and the ocean is right here!) Its only redeeming quality are the kind employees who are the victims of a crappy general manager.

The cashiers are always friendly to me. And it's safway! The produce is sometimes not fresh. I really enjoy the bakery for my little ones

the staff here makes the Safeway. I can think of more than three instances where their generosity was completely candid and made my day .. Including today I recently went vegan and went in for one of those just desserts vegan cupcakes and they were out An employee in the bakery section approached me! Asking ME if i couldn't find something and I told her the dilemma anyway cutting to the chase since they weren't carrying what I wanted or any of the daily specials I was discounted big time for a just desserts vegan cake. And this isn't the first time for this Safeway I was discounted in deli for a confliction once and was even given a free lime aha after I realized I almost walked out with it in my pocket(I wasn't carrying a basket and needed my hands). hopefully no one gets fired for this because they were truly isolated incidents Anyway the generosity and helpfulness of employees here is exceptional and I don't understand the low score rating. Thank u everyone at Safeway Fortuna keep on ur grind

If you like paying almost $10 per lb for lunch meat that's full of gluten fillers, or deli salads that come right out of a can or box then you'll love this place. They also took out the bulk coffee and along with it my only reason to ever go here. Drive into Eureka to "Winco" at 636 W. Harris, Eureka, Ca, you'll pay about half what Safeway charges for meats. Oh and get the starbucks quality "Rocket java" North Coast Coffee at around $7 a lb :p

This is probably the worst Safeway I've ever visited. Usually Safways are clean, well stocked, and provide good service. The Fortuna Safeway has absolutely terrible service. Lines tend to be very long at most times during the day, courtesy clerks are almost nonexistent, and their staff tend to be under trained especially in the deli and bakery departments. The only time I've seen this store look decent and staffed was a few hours before the regional manager was scheduled to visit the store (Employees were complaining about it).

On our recent stay camping in the greater Van Duzen River area, we ventured into town a few times, and found the Fortuna Safeway to be well stocked and well staffed. Not sure what magic sky island other reviewers have been visiting to do their shopping for butt cream and bagels, but we did just fine here on camping essentials... And even a quart of ice cream that was decidedly not freezer burned. The organic strawberries were from Watsonville (same supplier we get in Los Angeles, kids) and tasted sweet and juicy. Marshmallows were soft and not melted together. Meats and dairy were fresh and not small-town marked up. At the register, I stepped past another patron to grab a bag of ice. She damn near had a nervous breakdown, screaming, covering her ears, and repeating "ooh! Ooh! Strange man!" I can't hold that again the store. Crazies are everywhere, and I suppose I'll take the Pepsi challenge per capita with Fortuna and my home town, any day of the week and twice on Sunday. The line I was in did take a long time on three occasions-- but that wasn't the store's fault either. And it wasn't the fault of the parade of customers in front of me separating their alcohol, tobacco, and dairy purchases from their WIC and EBT-approved shopping lists. It is...what it is, and I got nothing but time. I'm on vacation here, you see. Which is interesting considering how NorCal folks responded to my usual brand of "kill em with kindness." It's cool, though. When I go back to work in a few weeks, I get paid either way.
