Sequoia Park Zoo, established in 1907 and accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums, is a charming and intimate 6-acre zoo located in Northern California's Coastal Redwood region. Owned and operated by the City of Eureka in partnership with the Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation, it features over 50 species of animals, many of which are rescues or rehabilitated animals that could not survive in the wild. The zoo is known for its spacious, naturalistic enclosures and its unique Redwood Sky Walk, a series of suspended bridges and platforms that take visitors through a second-growth Coastal Redwood grove. This interpretive experience offers visitors a fresh perspective on the forest and is especially popular during the holiday season when the redwoods are lit up at night. The zoo provides a peaceful and well-maintained environment, making it ideal for families, nature lovers, and those seeking a relaxed day out. Visitors often praise the zoo’s cleanliness, the active animals, and the opportunity to see animals like bears, red pandas, and baby animals up close. The admission price is affordable, and the sky walk is included at no extra charge. Overall, Sequoia Park Zoo inspires a love for wildlife and conservation, offering a memorable experience amidst the beauty of the redwoods.
The skywalk is amazing! Most of the animals were sleeping but it is still good.

The walk in the redwood is a bucket list stop for Eureka, especially when it is lit up at night around Christmas and new years. Don't forget to stop by and say hello to the baby bear and red panda.
